The gentleman was nice and we went over details, everything except pricing. He said that he would get me a quote. I have yet to receive a quote even after numerous phone calls and messages. So, for 3 months now, this contractor has had my drawings, plans, etc., but hasn't gotten back to me, that really bothers me in a business. If you weren't interested in the job, that's fine, but don't string a potent customer around. Every time that I call, it's oh yeah we will get that to you. We gave them the green light and they started the job - long story short the wall that they built will probably be here long after I am gone? They were all about the business and very pleasant to have around. I really liked that Josh would take the time to answer my question (I find construction work interesting) and very patient when I asked for additional work and changes (fixing/updating a gate). Having lived in Lake County his entire life, he knows the area like the back of his hand and knows what to look for, and from a contractor's perspective. Considering his reasonable fee, he probably spent more time with me than he should have on communication, (which was prompt) but it was appreciated. He'll throw in some funny stuff here and there too. Never met in person but seems like a solid guy. At the end of the day, we found out the foundation was sinking, which was the biggest issue, but certainly not the only issue. He found A LOT of problems. had a lot of insight, and really helped us dodge a bullet. I'll be giving him a call back when we get into a contract on another house in the future. Highly recommended.
