Humboldt Moving and Storage in Crescent City is a small operation. Pamela in the office and Mike, the manager, are often the only ones there... and often it is a one-person operation. The quote for my move was actually less than "knowledgeable" friends had figured. Mike made the estimate and was professional, polite, even jolly! AND, there was no grumbling when I forgot that I needed to ADD my electric wheelchair (HEAVY and space-consuming) which changed ALL the paperwork. Mike and Pamela did it cheerfully. The delivery of my goods to my new home 3500 miles away was flawless... and delivery date was actually a couple WEEKS faster than I had expected! WOW. Delivery guys were professional, even more helpful than I am used to, being that I am disabled. They were considerate and FAST. They put down runners so as not to soil even tile floors with hand-truck wheels. Given today's "don't care" customer service attitude, MY experience with Humboldt Moving and Storage... and United Van Lines... was exemplary. Over the past 20 years living in Crescent City I have used this company multiple times: moving my mother, moving a hot-tub, moving refrigerators and more. Recently we moved into a new house in town and again used them. The crew that came out-Derrick, Clyde and Alex were great.Fast and efficient and meticulous handling our furniture. They actually completed the move in record time and the cost was less than the estimate. Shouldn't have wasted my money on the insurance--these guys don't break things! Two years after meeting the wonderful staff at HUMBOLDT we needed their help again - this time moving mom to a senior retirement village in Roseburg from Brookings. Dante and Damon were amazing! They left for a three hour drive in the dark to start moving her into her new apartment by 7:30 that morning! I tell you what these guys are great, they moved all my heavy kitchen equipment which weighs over 700lbs like it was nothing. They cleaned up after themselves and even went above and beyond by doing extra work for me. I will never use any one else for my moving needs.
