Austin and Nate from Pacific Northwest Moving showed up and had our moving van safely and efficiently loaded in under 2 hours. After an extremely stressful 10 days of moving prep, the truck loading was absolutely the easiest part of our entire move! They were very careful with the furniture, expertly using plastic wrap, padding, and tie-downs to prevent load shifting. The four guys moved a hot tub a few miles. They were careful, thoughtful, and humorous. The work was done in a couple of hours.

First off, let me say that I have moved many times across the country and I am well versed in packing and moving and have a healthy understanding that sometimes things get damaged! This move was from Medford, OR to CA. PNMS was hired to pack up the home and move us. When we met Solomon we were very comfortable with the quote and the process as he explained it to us. From the beginning the communication was poor and responses were slow. We already had work start dates and needed to know the schedule. I want to be really clear that this review has very little to do with the crew, they were awesome. They were professional, considerate of our things and very polite. There was a mix up with the paperwork regarding the insurance and I was asked to sign off with the addition of an insurance company we wanted to use. Austin explained this all to me but I needed to ask my husband who we were using for the insurance. Austin explained that I NEEDED to sign but that he would leave the paperwork on the counter for me to complete. I was unaware of the fact that Austin's partner was going into labor and he was dealing with that as well. The following day the crew showed up to pack the truck and begin the drive to CA, Austin was not there and I was informed about his situation at home. The, I assumed, lead guy that day told me that he would try to track down that paperwork before they left...I never saw it, and then they were gone. Fast forward to delivery day, only 2 guys were here to unload 2 trucks at a two story house. Again, these guys worked their tails off and continued to be awesome! Unfortunately, 1 of our 4 plasma screen TVs was damaged during the move. They took a screen shot of the back of the broken TV, sent it to Solomon and I was told that it would be replaced by the exact TV. Then came the grill. A $1,200 grill was destroyed, beyond repair. I looked as if it was rammed by a tree trunk, the dent so deep it broke the steel seal around the door, broke both of the heat gauges so that they don't' work at all. I contacted Solomon about the damages. First thing off he tried to blame Austin for "bullying me into signing paperwork" which i IMMEDIATELY told him that was not the case, I was NEVER spoke to that way. I was really shocked the way he spoke about his crew! After 2 weeks of back and forth phone texts with sending multiple photos of the damaged grill, Solomon chose to ignore any talk about the grill and said he was going to "get a TV from Amazon and send it to us". I reminded him that he received a screen shot of the TV that was to be replaced and he said he didn't get any screen shots!! More back and forth and we decided to request that he just send us the money. He sent us a grand total of $499. All that being said, I would definitely not recommend doing business with SOLOMON SWEGAR. Buyer beware that you are giving your money to someone that has no respect for his workers and will take advantage of any and all loop holes to avoid replacing damaged items. Easy booking process. Movers were nice and listened to the instruction as to what needed to go versus not. They also had great visual spatial skills to get as much in my pod as they could. Based on what I could see my items will get to the destination intact, for which I am ever grateful. They offered shrink wrap and blankets if you needs them. They bring the dollies (hand trucks). The only down side at this point were the fees. I was informed of the hourly price, which is a great price, but I was not informed that the time started once the drivers left the business and until they got back. It would have been nice to know I needed to pay for the driver's drive time before they made it to my home and once they left my home. I would hire them again for sure! read more

All I can say is WOW! Solomon and his team were nothing short of amazing. Great communication and support. Moving out of our home of 29 years was harder than you can imagine - emotionally and physically. John, Phil, Kyle & Austin each went the extra mile to make moving as easy as humanly possible. These are beyond great guys with servant hearts who worked as an amazing team, were upbeat, focused, hard working and fun to be around on a couple of the hottest days of the year. They not only took great care of our belongings (which all arrived safely) but they took care of the little details that made this process just easier for us too. *** I thought I had done this review a while back *** Soloman (the owner) was so kind and worked hard by video, email, and phone to coordinate the job. By the time we were done working everything out, I felt like I was being moved by family. This was a very difficult, FULL house move from CA to OR and the three company packers/movers worked hard, in the time they had, to pack as much of the very full house that they could. They were very friendly & fun, and they worked long days to get it done so much faster than I thought they could. They even ended up having to hire another local packer in CA (that was FAR less competent than the original movers, MANY complaints about that CA guy, but the job was done and it wasn't this company's fault the local packer sucked). They loaded my storage units quickly, and their personalities made it such a fun task (for me anyway, lol). Again, I felt like I was working with 3 brothers. They accommodated my specific storage loading needs, even when they didn't want to, and there was only one (later) tower of boxes that fell over. Not bad for 3 storage units full. I would definitely use these guys again and recommend them to anyone, especially if you want to be moved by a company that treats you like family. read more

They sent 4 kids over, the bickering, phone use was a little much. How they loaded the truck with my possessions was awful. Damaged artwork just for a start. An expensive couch I asked them to wrap with blankets was ignored and left bare. Being told after that I have the wrong company is another kick in the pants. Is this how you have a 5 star rating? This review is late, but I didn't want to miss out on paying Pacific Northwest Moving their due! Tyson and crew are incredible - roommate and I hired them last minute to come remove an absolutely dead couch and some other large items from our apartment before a new one was delivered weeks ahead of schedule. Despite being on a time crunch Tyson got us squeezed into their schedule and the couch was cleared out of our apartment and on it's way to the dump in the blink of an eye. The team is kind, polite, and courteous and made the whole process incredibly painless. We'll be doing a short move within the Rogue Valley later this fall and we know for sure who we'll be using. Tyson and his team were a joy to work with. I happened to come across them when other moving companies were quoting sky-high prices and we were reluctantly thinking of how to do it ourselves. Tyson's price was very reasonable, and I immediately felt like this was someone I could trust to take care of my stuff. He was easy to talk to, listened patiently and responded to my concerns when other movers had been impatient, abrupt and spoken as though we were wasting their time. To them it was all about the money. If they damaged any of our stuff, they had insurance to cover it. Well, we didn't want insurance money; we wanted reassurance that the movers would do their utmost to be careful with our things. Tyson and his team spoke as though customer satisfaction and happiness were their topmost concern. They were very respectful and considerate, brought extra blankets to wrap around a pair of massive bookshelves that we were very concerned about, and patiently told us how they would handle them, strapping them in so they didn't get banged around. They wore masks, a huge contrast with my last delivery experience where the guy whined and complained because I asked him to wear a mask. Really? In the middle of a pandemic? Even though the move turned out bigger than originally expected, Tyson stuck by the initial estimate. Not too many places you see that. Tyson was a joy to work with. He listened to all my concerns and had a clear view of my move. The move went very smoothly. It was a big move with three trucks for a 2500 sq. ft. house and 800 sq. ft. shop with heavy woodworking equipment. The crew Kenny, Damian, Paul, and Mick were amazing. They have a great work ethic. They worked hard all day carefully moving all of our goods. They wrapped every piece of furniture. Tyson himself carefully boxed a 5'x3' needlepoint made by my mother-in-law that was priceless. The needlepoint along with everything else in the house and shop arrived in perfect condition. Tyson's team carefully unwrapped each piece of furniture reassembled it where necessary. They unboxed and installed our new appliances a washer and dryer and a refrigerator. They took away all the used wrapping material and empty boxes.
