I was so impressed by the quality of service and professionalism that Nick from Hung Right Doors provided me today. Here is my story. I was woke up to my wife freaking out that she couldn't get out of our garage this morning because the garage door would not open. So I looked at it and sure enough it was broke. I called at 7:58 AM on a Monday morning and Mike was at the house before 9 am. It's now ten and the job is done and he's onto the next job! I had what I thought was an unusual request for Hung Right. I'd been struggling with a broken cable system on my cargo trailer's toy hauler door for quite some time. I left it with several trailer repair places, only to return to find it untouched after several weeks sitting in their shops. Turns out that most trailer places are incompetent con artists. I met briefly with Ron (Sales Manager) after one of our garage doors crashed to the floor when its torsion spring broke. Ron offered to come over the next morning to look at the current situation, identify potential issues, discuss options, take measurements and prepare an estimate. Ron pointed out the need to increase the clearance between a beam and the door's rail due to the larger thickness of the new doors and explained how that would be achieved. The estimate that he prepared was easy to understand & clearly showed the costs of the various options. After I'd decided which options we wanted, I called Hung Right and Ron ordered the doors. Installation was scheduled for a day & time that were very convenient for me. On the day of installation, Scott (Installer) arrived when expected, pointed out the changes that would be made, verified in which row of the door's panels we wanted the windows installed, and then promptly began the process of removing the old doors. He worked quickly and confidently, removing the components of the old doors sequentially. He then began installing the rails and other components of the new doors, efficiently and carefully, checking each installed element prior to proceeding to the next step. His skillful installation was evidence of his many years of experience. Scott maintained his cheerful, patient demeanor even while I popped in to take photos. Before he left, he gave me some tips for maintaining the smooth operation of the doors by spraying the torsion spring, wheels and hinges with garage door lubricant. Scott had been gone for only a few minutes before I heard an odd noise when the door was opened/closed. I called Hung Right, they alerted Scott, and he returned immediately! It turned out to be a routine noise that I had never noticed before because of the loud operation of the old doors. Hung Right employees are very helpful and strongly committed to performing excellent work. The installation was completed in less than half a day without any hidden or unexpected charges. Okay this is going to be long fair warning. Home depot hired this company to come out and install our garage door and automatic opener. Josiah came out for us and the job took alot longer than he expected it was like 8 hours when it should've been 4. Close to the end of the day he said that they would have to come back to install the door opener because the one we bought wasn't wanting to cooperate. Josiah called his company and got the okay to stay and finish the Job so we ended up getting a different brand door opener definitely go with chamberlain lift master or craftsman do not use genie. He was so polite and kind and did a very reputable job we were so happy and I am just really satisfied with the level of honorable customer service he didn't act like we were a bother and that was amazing. we are satisfied customers definitely!! oh and they did all this work with an old setup that was apparently installed all wrong the first time so that's doubly impressive. read more

I am not a professional builder, but am building my own house (a project on my "bucket list"). When it came time to purchase and install the garage door I checked with the Home Depot and Lowes web sites for reference prices. Then I looked to see who were the local, smaller retailers. Hung Right is a retailer for Clopay garage doors -- the same that are on the Home Depot Web site. Hung Right's prices were competitive with HD -- maybe a couple percent higher, but offset by offering a far greater range of colors, sizes and styles, and including for free the other hardware that is needed for installation of a door. Beyond just price, the Hung Right people (it was Allen, who I worked with mostly) are knowledgeable and helpful in a way that you'll almost never find at the big box stores. They are as professional, prompt and reliable as any company that I have ever worked with. I'm a reasonably experienced carpenter, but a first-timer installing a garage door. Allen took the time and effort to offer me useful pointers when he delivered the door. After I had completed the installation of the door, the final step is to wind the springs, which take up most of the weight of the door. This is a step that amateurs have been known to injure themselves at. Since Allen was such a decent fellow, I decided to call him to assist on this step. Not only did Allen make the effort come back out the same day as my call, he also approached the task like a true craftsman. He checked over my work, made the kinds of adjustments to the clearances between door, track and frame that only an experienced installer would know to do, wound the springs, and got the door working perfectly. He then would accept only a fraction of what the time and skill he had put into the visit were worth. What's not to like about that kind of experience? I would recommend Hung Right with enthusiasm to anyone hunting for a garage door. And there's the name to enjoy, too. read more

New Year's Day--SPROING!!!! One of the springs on our wooden two-car garage door broke. The door was too heavy to lift manually, so our son's car was held hostage in the garage. The next morning I called Hung Right Doors at 9:30. (This was after I had left a message with another company at 8:00--24 hours later I am still waiting for a return call.) Tabitha was efficient and sympathetic and scheduled me for 12-2 that same day. At 11:50, Scott arrived, told my husband it would be done in 45 minutes and gave him an estimated price for replacing both springs. Less than an hour later, we wrote him a check for the finished job.
