Cajun Louisiana Shrimp Basket and loaded fries

The Hungry Buffalo is a great stop after a day in Hocking Hills for families and four legged friends. We sat on the patio and were happy to see that kids eat for .99 on Sunday's! The menu was diverse with options galore. I was torn between the Monte Cristo and Fried Green Tomato BLT. I went with the Fried Green Tomato BLT and fries loaded with cheese and bacon. The sandwich had house made garlic aioli and the ranch was perfect. The outdoor patio area had corn hole and axe throwing and it just was a great finish to the day. An ode to southern Ohio ambience and charm.

Apple Bourbon Chicken and Sweet Potato fries

My wife and I stopped here for dinner while visiting Hocking Hills State Park. We were quite hungry and this place seemed better than going to a chain restaurant. Upon entering, we were greeted by two young teenagers that were serving as hosts. One of the teenagers immediately tried to seat us in the bar area. When we told him we would rather not sit there, he seemed surprised. My wife the Chicken Philly sandwich which came on 12 inches of bread but had only 6 inches of meat. I ordered the Appke Bourbon Chicken which came with " southwest rice". We shared some sweet potato fries. The Philly Chicken tasted okay (according to my wife). The Apple Bourbon chicken wasn't freshly grilled and you could tell by the taste and texture. The rice tasted like it was microwaved. The best part of the meal were the sweet potato fries. Ambience was classic sports bar, service was good (but huge tips were expected). Can't really recommend this place when a much better option is across the street.

    Chicken Tenderstenders

The best thing here is the pretzel sticks (comes in 3, which is an awkward number). The chicken tenders are horrendously small and come with no sides. Boneless wings were also ordered and the same size as the tenders, so essentially nugget sized. The nachos were literally just melted shredded cheese, dry chicken, and diced tomatoes. The nachos were supposed to be an appetizer but came with the rest of the food. Our waitress came twice between us ordering and the check. There's a gift shop attached and it took at least 10 minutes for someone to check us out because they were out smoking. Wouldn't be back.

Had a decent experience here. Went in a Wednesday evening . Had decent food and good service. I heard a lot of mixed reviews that this place was hit or miss. This time it was a hit. Again food is decent and our service was good.

Decent food. Really great service though. Would come back.

We were at Hocking Hills with friends for the Memorial Day weekend and stopped by at 58 West to…read moregrab some lunch. Not realizing that outside was covered patio we first opted to sit inside but then we noticed the covered patio and requested to be seated outside and thanks to our lucky stars, the hostess obliged and we got seated outside in the covered patio to enjoy the perfect Memorial weekend weather. We ordered some drinks (not pictured) - I ordered an Espresso Martini while husband ordered a beer, friends ordered a couple of other drinks - a berry smash, a Sauvignon and more beer for the guys. The cocktails were amazing and delicious. We ordered a couple of shareables (Tirokafteri and Colcannon Cakes) as well which were both of course were so scrumptious that we forgot to click pics! So I made sure I clicked pics of as many mains/ entrees I could. A friend and I, ordered fried chicken sandwiches (his with fries, mine with chips, I also asked my brioche be subbed with Sourdough which both our waitress and chef were kind enough to comply), husband ordered a 58 burger, another friend ordered the Italian Chicken flatbread and another ordered a Portobello entree with a side of Caprese salad (added grilled Chicken). The fried chicken was ok, I've had better ones and unfortunately for me it gave me a bad tum as I spent the rest of the day feeling queasy. The husband said his burger was amazing, the flatbread, portobello and caprese were all absolutely delectable. Thankfully everyone enjoyed their lunch including kiddos who had Mac and cheese and a cheese pizza.
