Yay, another cafe that carries stumptown roasters! I love that this branch accepts the CUPS app (as opposed to the flatbush ave one). The cafe is very cute and I love the little tables that they have around the store. It is a bit smaller than the other location, but it feels homier. On the other hand, it might be difficult to find a seat. I ordered an iced latte with a coconut DOUGHnut and was extremely satisfied. The iced latte was very smooth and flavorful. read more

I like this coffee shop because they have nice wooden benches lining the outside of the shop that are the perfect place to sip coffee and people watch along Fulton Street. The location is also excellent, there aren't alot of other higher end coffee shops nearby. That being said, it's definitely on the pricey side and you'll probably end up paying more than $4. read more

I think I'll just stop looking because healthy guilt free fare is not their forte. How comfortable the coffee house it is. I love the way they decorate it, simple but it is a work of great aesthetic appeal, those seats and sofa are very comfortable with moderate space between table and table, so one don't have to maneuvers one's way onto a seat. Staffs are friendly. the most notable thing is that there are two air conditioning in the shop, even though the shop isn't very huge, which is good to see, it will be a good shelter for escaping heat waves in summer of New York. read more

(3.5 stars) This is the tiny Hungry Ghost. This is the cafe where, if you are planning to meet a friend, you will likely discover there are no seats. This cafe has four tiny tables (one next to the bathroom!), a window with a weird chair (so seating for one), a communal table with five or six stools. In short, there's not enough seating for the amount of foot traffic that comes in, so it's not a good place to meet anyone. It is, though, a perfectly good place to get a cookie (and their cookies are particularly tasty), or to get a tea, and the staff at this branch is, I think, friendlier than the other branch. read more

I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but their coffee is made really well that I even like them! Their mochas are amazing (yes I like to disguise my coffee with chocolate). Their cookies are moist and gooey, and baked in house. They serve Dough donuts which is amazingly dangerous considering I work next door.... The environment is nice, although I wish it was a tad cozier - I'm sure it'll feel much better when it's not freezing outside. I think the big windows and open space made it drafty, but I do like the vibe. read more

We were excited to try their coffee but I noticed that their restroom was boarded up. Not a good mix to have no restroom and offering coffee- a diuretic nonetheless. Especially for women, a restroom is a necessity for us. Please be mindful of that, I don't mind shelling out $$ for drinks but don't block basic needs for Women. Really wanted to like this place because of the name but I have to say that it was a disappointment. I think you should be able to judge a place by it's most simple item to reveal the true nature of the place and for a coffee shop it would be straight black coffee. I usually drink black coffee. I don't mind bitter, I don't mind dark, I don't mind strong. But this coffee tasted like paint thinner. Truly horrible. Actually left the shop and then came back in and tried to make it taste better with their assortment of add-ins such as sugar, cinnamon, honey, whatever but it was still pretty terrible. Maybe I need to try something fancy there to get the most bang for my buck? I also have to agree with other reviewers that the staff was apathetic verging on rude. I was waiting to the side looking at the menu (the only person waiting to order) and the server was basically tapping his foot waiting for me to decide. Not a friendly atmosphere. We stopped by this coffee shop for a pre-Nets game snack. Great little shop - husband LOVED their Stumptown coffee and my hot cocoa was perfect. They had soy milk so that was a plus too. I like that they have cold brew on nitro. I should have ordered it without ice, but it was so damn hot out. It had a nice, creamy texture to it. They serve Stumptown coffee. Stumptown is okay, but not my favorite coffee. I was interested in trying the kombucha, a fermented tea, but they were all out when we arrived just before noon on a Saturday. I will be keeping a look out to try this. I loved the surreal paintings that were displayed on the wall, I imagine that they were for sale because, you know, coffee shop. Greedy Ghost is more like it. I had a horrible experience here on Sunday. $7.50 for an ice coffee and a cookie. The food and drink were very good. One star is for the crappy service: * very negative attitude from the clerk behind the counter; she never said how much I owed - she just took money and handed some money back; a $4 ice coffee filled to 3/4 of the glass (if that much and mostly ice); no prices displayed on the cookies; the small sign describing the cookie was incorrect. read more

Bf and I were walking back from brunch, and he wanted a little pick-me-up. Came across this cute coffee shop and decided to try it out. Bf got the iced coffee. Definitely a chill coffee bar. Right next to Barclay so I stop here to get coffee right before church every Sunday. Their chai latte is super spicy and sweet, it'll definitely wake you up this fall season. As far as service the barist was such a doll when I changed my order last minute to almond milk he didn't charge extra. So overall great experience, and very cozy shop. One of my favorite coffee shops ever. For some reason their espresso makes my favorite lattes. Great bakery items (the chocolate and apricot croissants are amazing and flakey!) including Dough donuts. Solid breakfast sandwich and yogurt parfait. Dropped in for some to-go, but wound up sitting for a minute and soaking up the space. Simple and somewhat fancy, clean and quiet. The bathroom was easy to find and didn't require a key or code or secret password. Almond cortado was exceptional. Not sure when baristas started steaming almond milk so well but it's much appreciated. They serve Stumptown Coffee but not at Stumptown prices - the same drink is $3.50 there. Just sayin. And, IMO, the cafe didn't vibe with the surroundings. I'd like to go to a spot that reflects the neighborhood's lived-in vibe instead of crisp whiteness. Good place to grab a coffee but I actually really like the atmosphere for sitting and getting some work done. Love their coffee and espresso drinks (I usually grab a Cafe Au Lait). We had the bacon and gouda last time I was there and it was SO good - like surprisingly good. The bacon was delicious, the gouda was perfect, and they had some mayo-saucy-something slathered on the bread and man, oh man... yum. Plus, it came with a pickle that was really delicious. The also have Dough doughnuts (Hibiscus doughnut, I'm forever eyeing you). No Wi-Fi, which sucks. But I have gone here to work on some illustration projects, both hand drawn stuff and digital/computer stuff. I've seen plenty of people work on their computers as well - so I don't know that they have a strict "No Computer" policy? Maybe they just discourage it passively by not providing Wi-Fi, which I think is totally fine since I went there knowing that. Shrug. I love this coffee shop. They have oat milk (a lot of coffee shops still don't carry it). They also carry vegan and gluten-free pastries. So there is something for everyone. The coffee shop is a little small but there are enough tables to sit at. There is also a bathroom for customers which is great. I live in manhattan, but stumbled upon this gem of a coffee store! Not only is the staff incredible friendly, the vibe is electric. I was early for an appointment and thought I'd get one of their delicious ice matcha lattes with almond milk because about 3 people got them while I was waiting for my breakfast sandwich.
