I feel like I'm just like everyone else trying out "beautiful desserts." I kept seeing those fruit-shaped pastries all over TikTok (mostly in LA), so I wanted to see if NYC had something similar. This spot kept popping up, so I checked it out--definitely didn't disappoint. Got a matcha and the big strawberry pastry stuffed with jam and soft cake. And yeah... you need a fork lol. The crunchy chocolate shell is actually really good. Coffee is moderately priced, pastries are a little expensive--but that's NYC + a viral trend. I've walked by so many times with realizing and decided to finally stop by. There's a lovely display of pastries and it's honestly difficult to just choose one. The entire space seemed spacious, however ever table was taken. Incredibly packed and probably a problem they love to have. Gorgeous space with plenty of seating. I ordered the Moka Spice latte which was solid but even though I ordered it sweetened, I needed another packet of sugar to bring out the notes. It was interesting to try, but I wish I could have ordered it in a 12 oz size instead. My daughter and I were looking for caffeine and a dessert before a nearby concert. I saw Moka and Co on Yelp and it seemed ideal. Place is really modern and bright. Staff was friendly and professional. Ample amount of seating. I enjoyed the Saudi coffee, basically a blond roast coffee. My daughter and I shared the tiramisu cup dessert, decadence in dessert form! I've only been here once but I was blown away by how beautiful it is inside. This coffee shop is spacious, the WIFI is strong, and the food / drink options are vast. During my visit the manager, Hadr, was kind enough to make me a custom matcha lemonade with homemade strawberry syrup. I also had my eye on a strawberry croissant that I plan to go back for this week. Overall, my visit was awesome and I look forward to visiting again and working from there for a few hours. Great spot to catch up with a friend and have a yummy pastry and coffee. It's a little loud so not ideal for work, but we were still able to be somewhat productive. We got the decaf moka spice latte and split it, perfect for cold weather, rich and nicely spiced. The danish was so creamy but not too sweet on the inside, the pastry was airy, flaky, perfect. What an amazing addition to the neighborhood, a perfect beginning to the New Year in Fort Greene. So far, I have been to this gem of a coffeehouse three times. I live walking distance away so, I know I'll become a regular. It's both cozy and modern. A beautiful space, that is extremely welcoming and very customer friendly. The owner couldn't be nicer and the staff is simply lovely. It's the perfect combination of Yemini traditional coffee and tea that is truly authentic. I have tried the Mufawar cofffe, the lavender Matcha Latte and the frozen blended berry. All were delicious. I will absolutely order all three again. Still, there's so many amazing drinks from the menu and I want to try them all.. The pasties are not only stunning but so good! I've tried the Saffron Milk Cake and the tiramisu. It was my first time having saffron milk cake. I loved it and will definitely enjoy it again and again. My partner really enjoyed the tiramisu. Every single pastry looks is mouthwatering. Great place to work and study. Coffee is definitely pricy but you are paying for the environment. Great conditions, AC, and no music (for the most part!). Everybody really respectful of each other and keep noise to a minimum. They made a mistake with my order and gave me a pistachio cookie. All good! read more

First of all I paid $12 for a moldy strawberry shortcake. I had had a really unpleasant experience at this café. Two female staff members who appeared to be in charge were constantly being passive-aggressive around their coworkers and openly blaming them for mistakes, mistakes that didn't even seem to be the coworkers' fault. The way they spoke to others was rude, dismissive, and uncomfortable to witness as a customer. It created a tense environment that made the whole place feel unwelcoming. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and unfortunately the attitude and moldy food alone was enough to make me not want to return. There needs to be better professionalism and respect shown toward both staff and customers. read more

One of the best new coffee shops in the area; clean, plenty of room for seating, and service is super. The Yemeni coffee and tea menu is classic, my only alert is to keep in mind that this coffee is flavored and less strong compared to espresso based ones. You should definitely go for the small size as the bigger one is just extra milk. The desert menu is really good, western with some oriental ones. read more

Just happened upon the place tonight, and so glad I did! Unpretentious, comfortable outpost of a Yemeni coffee chain that seems to have started in Michigan. Staff were lovely, space is clean and well-kept, and their teas and pastries are terrific. I had a Yemeni chai, which is black tea with cardamom and some other subtle flavors, and an AMAZING, cheese-filled honeycomb pull-apart bread/pastry. They also play music which has a mix of middle eastern and other stuff not overpowering, so you can either do work or talk to others without feeling grumpy. I am so glad I found this place. The good: Great coffee spot with lotsa space and wonderful light. Staff is very kind and helpful. Unique flavors and Yemeni vibe. Even plays some cool tribal EDM stuff on speakers. The bad: The beepers used to tell people their orders are ready are SO LOUD. It's like a smoke alarm going off once every few minutes. Very aggravating/distracting if you're trying to get work done. Also, the place gets INVADED by kids from the nearby high school around 2:30pm every weekday. It's legit overwhelming. I feel bad for Moka because many of them don't even buy anything. The desserts and coffee are good. The customer service is not. I ordered basbousa and a chai; the evil, blue-eyed chick rang up a semolina cake instead. I honestly didn't mind bc it sounded good as well. I got my chai from the old dude (the manager). However, I did not receive my semolina cake. I'm sitting for an hour waiting for the evil blue-eyed chick to give me my dessert. I go up to her co-worker and ask if I could get my semolina cake. She asks her, I'm assuming her sister (evil blue-eyed chick) what's the situation here. She just smiles, and now finally acknowledges me, and now plays dumb saying "what happened?" I say I'm waiting for my dessert (as she knows bc she took my order), she says "basbousa?" I said no what did you charge me for? She proceeds to play dumb and now hands me a basbousa--not the semolina cake (which I paid for). Home girl has no ethics or class, and her management. At this point, I don't even care bc I'm gonna leave civilly unfazed and not play her backwards games. read more

I had a HORRIBLE experience. First of all, an iced oat latte and pistachio croissant cost $19 without tip. NINETEEN! it would be somewhat justified if it was a luxury experience or high quality products, but no. The latte was fine, but the croissant was disgusting -- it was stale and clearly expired and so sour that I couldn't even eat it. And it was $8 for expired, disgusting, inedible food. Plus, the folks working were not even kind. I feel robbed. Ridiculous, I am never going back. A gentrifying detriment to the Fort Greene neighborhood. read more
