    Furikake Chicken and Kalbi
    Rei B.

We received great customer service, the guys working were friendly and conversing with my man. We are originally from Hawaii so it was cool to know that we're from Hawaii also. I tried the furikake chicken and teriyaki grilled beef, the beef was nice and tender and had good teriyaki flavor. My man got the furikake chicken and kalbi, the furikake chicken was flavorful and crispy. The kalbi was marinated well and the portions were good. We also got the Lau Lau, it was a little dry but it was pretty good when pairing it with the chilli pepper water. The guava cake and poke was okay, I feel like it would have been really good if we had it fresh. The containers said it was made the day before. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and this place does remind us of back home for sure!

    Rice Bowl

This review is mostly for the service, but also for the food which I'll explain. I placed an order online for lunch one day and got a rice bowl. It has up to two options for the meats, so I chose curry katsu and kalbi beef. A few minutes later I get a call from them; the guy was super short and told me I can't have two meats with the rice bowl and I can only pick one. So I tell him to go with the beef then, and he just hangs up without a "thank you" or "goodbye". I pick up my order, also no "welcome in" or even a hello. Just asked my name and handed me the bag and went back to the counter. I return to my office and open my bowl to teriyaki beef..... literally the worst thing to get (imo) at a Hawaiian place. It was dry, and the only saving grace was the huge amount I got. So overall....my order was wrong, what I got instead was not good, and there was no aloha spirit. Not what you want when you're getting Hawaiian food....

Soo good, seriously the best hawaiian food i've had! Definitely get the spicy poke bowl

The service was great, friendly welcoming the restaurant was clean and organized. With the food is was alright. I ordered 2 musibi and a poke bowl, tho it was a bit over priced for what I received the poke was by far the best thing I ordered. The spam slices were cut thin and were burnt a little, there was a little too much crunchy onion on the poke, and again for the prices of everything I wish we got more food. But it's nice to have a poly shop so close to where I work

I usually find a lot of Hawaiian food to be overrated, so I wasn't sure what Hungry Hawaiian could add. It's a cute, quaint little place. Fairly busy around dinner time, but we were able to get a table. I was first impressed with the number of meat options available. There's quite a selection. I've heard great things about the furikake garlic chicken, so knew I needed to try that. Also tried the grilled kalbi beef. Both were really tasty. Especially loved the garlic chicken. I even tried the Mac salad, which I am super picky about and won't eat at most places. I actually ate all of this! The workers were gracious and helpful and checked on us to make sure all was going well. I would definitely come back here.

The service here was very friendly and quick and the restaurant seemed very clean. We got our food just minutes after ordering. The rice was a bit wet and the Kalbi didn't taste like it had been grilled. It kind of just tasted like teriyaki beef. However, I loved the kalua pork as it was moist and tender and packed with flavor. The starving student card offers a BOGO deal here which is wonderful as menu items are around 15 dollars each for a 1 meat plate.

What a beautiful quaint place this was! The decor inside was modern yet warm. Impressed by the food quality this place served. My favorite was the Lau Lau - pork wrapped in taro leaves and steamed, with a side of rice. It was the most flavorful (yet simple) Hawaiian dish I've tasted - takes me back instantly to Hawaii! Can't wait to come back and have Lau Lau again!

    To-go Teriyaki Chicken w/ Rice & Veggies

I usually keep my distance from Hawaiian BBQ joints because they're relatively low quality and lack flavor. The Hungry Hawaiian was a pleasant surprise! The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. I had the teriyaki chicken with a side of rice and veggies. The chicken was delicious! The rice and veggies were normal, nothing special but not bad. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the price. It seems a tad steep for what you're getting, but that's just my opinion.

Pleasantly surprised! Their mac salad is one of my favorites in Utah. It's very pepper-y, and I don't even love pepper but I love this stuff. Everything was delicious, but another standout for me was the guava cake! It had a good punch of guava flavor and was very fluffy.

Loved the food here!! It's in the pricy end but the food is tasty. We tried the furikake garlic chicken, teriyaki chicken, kuala pork, and the loco moco. All the meats were good but my favorite was the chicken and kuala pork. Also try their sauces!! Love that the meal comes with a musubi.

Taste is absolutely stellar. Best broccoli I've ever had. A tad bit pricy, like a one meat with two sides box

We were supposed to go to Mollys down the street but it was closed so I figured it was a good time to stop in since it's next door. All the tables were full so I took that as a good sign. Two of us got the daily special which was pork ribs that came with two sides and a drink. My coworker got his first and the very nice lady preparing our food just KEPT ON adding meat to the plate. Like so many ribs. I got rice and Mac salad with mine and I kinda wished I had gotten the noodles instead of the rice, they looked really good on my coworkers plate. It was pricey BUT I definitely only ate half my plate so it's basically two meals. Best Mac salad I've had, so creamy and peppery. And the ribs... you guys. Go on Thursday and get the daily special. They were crazy. Vibes were so good, the lady helping us was so nice. We have been weekly Mollys goers but I think this will be a frequent addition into our rotation. Everything looks very tasty, and I saw that Garlic Shrimp was the Friday special I did hear though that once they sell out they are out for the day. Obviously not an issue when we went a half hour after they opened - but the crowd was building the closer to noon we got.

And what comes in my meal? Not what I asked for, just teriyaki. Seems like a waste of time to ask me what sauce I'd like if you won't give me what I asked for. Today we decided to try going into this location. I have always only done the drive thru. Figured let's go in and sit down and eat like all the other places with the kids. But heads up, they only have outside dining. Which makes it a pain like today with the large amount of ash coming down from the local fires. Now when we ordered the food, my wife asked if they had POG juice, they said they did. She got a large and asked if they did refills to which the girl said yes. I went and ordered my food, asked for spicy mayo, then went to ask for a drink as well and she had skipped ahead to the payment portion before letting me finish. She went back after I told her I wasn't done with my order and would like a drink as well. Well we got the food. No spicy mayo, just teriyaki sauce again. We drank our drinks and my wife went in to get a refill of our POG drinks, to be told that the refills cost unless we did soda. A bit misleading if anything. With all this said, I'm giving this place a 2/5. I'd like to give it a 1/5 but the food is decent most of the time. But the lack of professional, customer service, and ability to follow through with getting orders rights over several visits, I've come to the conclusion with my wife that we will no longer go to this location. Which is a shame. Never thought I'd come to that conclusion with name we have come to enjoy.
