When Sonny and his staff evaluated the situation, it was determined that some of the repairs quoted by the previous company were not necessary at that time. Thus, the quote provided to us by Sonny and his staff was significantly lower. Each year going forward, Sonny provided the service for our very old unit. Going forward to December, 2019, the life cycle of the old unit was rapidly coming to an end. Since we like to browse what competitors offer, we secured two quotes from competitors. We were not pleased with the price, clarity of the details, and professionalism of the presenters. Therefore, we called Sonny to come and provide an assessment of the problems with our old unit. It was verified that the life cycle of our old unit was coming to an end. So, we requested that Sonny provide us his quote. We decided to accept the quote from Fort Worth Air Conditioner Company for the following reasons: * The amount of money quoted for the job and unit was less; * The seer grade is higher than the offer from competitors; * The patience of the presenter; * A professional attitude; * Most of all, the presenter did not leave us with the feeling of coercion, or pressure. Meanwhile we suffered through 98 degree Texas summer days. Finally decided to give up on AHS and take matters into my own hands. Minuteman had sent a flyer in the mail with coupons and I gave them a call to see if they can repair the system. Their tech Alberto came out right away and told me that it was the compressor and that they could fix it but I was looking at 6-7k per unit and since one unit was 25 years old and the other was 12 he recommended a replacement as being the better way to go to ensure reliability and energy efficiency with a new unit. I agreed since I didn't want to pour money into repairing units that were near the end of their lifespan. The price was higher than my budget but then again I decided on a 17 SEER system to ensure energy efficiency to go with my solar panels. Minuteman came out the next business and within eight hours had both systems up and the house cooling down. They arrived on time, were very efficient, courteous, and did a great job. I highly recommend Alberto as he took his time explaining everything and did not pressure me into making the decision to replace the system instead explained the pros and cons and let me decide. Overall I could not be happier with Minuteman and would highly recommend them to anyone needing HVAC installation or repairs.

I had to hire another company to remove and replace the ductwork they caused damage to in the attic. The owner never went into the attic and only went by what the young inexperienced technician advised him then tried to say he went into the attic and made the repairs himself. This was completely false since I was present the entire time. He also stated that he could make repairs to my dryer which also turned out to be false. I do not recommend them for any type of repairs.

Within 45 min got a call from Tim saying he could send a Technician today around 4:30 pm. I had two other HVAC companies out, one said my thermostat was broken and I just needed to replace it but wouldn't replace it because it was a Carrier he suggested calling someone for a second opinion. Another told me it was needing a new compressor and capacitor and because it was a Carrier that would cost over $6,000 or replace the entire thing for $15,000 Nick came out was up front on everything: pricing, expected time spent, what he thought the issue was initially, once he figured out the issue he explained what he would do and offered his understanding of where other HVAC technicians went wrong diagnosing the AC problem. The Carrier website has a list of service providers and I went with them because of their rating. I rarely do reviews and only because i feel strongly positively or negatively. C&S persevered and after fixing and replacing faulty duct work the problem with the air flow was solved but the thud continued. I contacted Phil who sent Cole to track down the mysterious thud. He found it , and corrected it within a few minutes . Everyone I worked with at C&S was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable . Cole is an excellent technician .
