I purchased an expensive new Maytag dryer. Less than 4 weeks after delivery of the dryer, there was an error message for service on the display. When I contacted Maytag service, I was connected to Guinco. The earliest Guinco could come service the dryer was 2 weeks out. On the Friday before Guinco was scheduled to arrive on Monday, Guinco contacted me and told me they needed to reschedule as a part they needed had not arrived. On the day Guinco was scheduled to arrive, I received a message that the service rep would be late. About 30 minutes after the service rep supposedly fixed the problem, I received the same error message on my dryer. When I called Guinco and requested the service rep return, I was told it will be another week before the service rep can come back. Very Poor Service! read more

5/5/25 Whirlpool Refrigerator bottom freezer. Door seal issues from manufacturer still within factory warranty. Whirlpool sent out Guinco Appliance Repair on a Whirlpool refrigerator I've only had for 30days. The repair guy Keifer H. brought in a heat gun to fix the issue and ended up melting and destroying plastic liner in the door and lwr shelving in the food box infront of the crisper doors. I purchased a new Maytag washing machine in December, and the lid lock mechanism failed in February. I scheduled service with Guinco and was given a service window of 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., one week out from my initial call. I used PTO to be home for the appointment. When no one arrived by 1:00 p.m., I called the office and was told the technician would be a couple more hours. At 3:00 p.m., after still no arrival, I called again and was told they didn't know what was going on. The technician finally showed up after 4:00 p.m., and did not have the correct part to complete the repair. The lack of communication, poor scheduling, and failure to bring the required part made this an extremely frustrating experience. Based on this experience, I would not recommend using Guinco for appliance repairs. read more

We have a 5-year-old under-counter ice maker that quit producing ice so I called Guinco who I have used in the past. They charge $145 to come out for a service call. They were unable to fix the machine but I still got charged. Now it's back to shopping for a new ice maker. Not cheap! read more

We have been without an oven for over a week and the only thing this so-called company has done was come out and take a picture of the model number which we provided them three times!!!! THREE TIMES. Following their lack of ability to communicate, they canceled our appointment four times!! One excuse after another. As expected, we were extremely frustrated and shared our frustration with a simple little receptionist who called to cancel our appointment ...she ran to her supervisor crying because she was unable to provide appropriate customer service and they said they will not fix our oven!!! Would be 5 stars, but I am giving them 1 star for negligent and shady practices. Our out of warranty kitchen aid refrigerator stopped working in October 2024. Guinco came out after I scheduled through Kitchenaid's website. They came out, told us it was a fan that was under a special extended warranty (I'm guessing due to a known faulty issue) and they fixed the issue promptly. Everything was great. Fast forward a couple of months and it stopped working. Same issue so we scheduled Guinco, through kitchenaid's website, again. A different guy came out and explained that the special warranty part was a 2 part replacement, and he could see that the first guy didn't replace the problematic control panel that was causing the fan to malfunction and go out. He called kitchen aid and they said it wasn't covered because we already used the warranty. We had to pay almost $1000 for the service call, parts and labor. If the first guy didn't replace one of the parts required that was causing the fan to go out, and causing us to lose our warranty, it doesn't seem correct that we were on the hook for their mistake. I'm guessing they got paid for the full warranty repair (requiring 2 parts to be replaced), but only fixed half the issue by replacing 1 part. Sounds like made a profit from the first repair. Then they got paid again - by us - because they didn't repair it correctly the first time. If I am able to recover my money, then they deserve 5 stars because they are prompt, efficient and nice. PS: make sure you lay something down for them because they don't use board or cloths and scratched our wood floors. Not my main complaint, but others might not want damaged floors. read more

Our less than two year old Whirlpool 2 in 1 washing machine began making a metal on metal grinding noice and wouldn't wash clothes. One call to Guinco and they scheduled our repair one week out. Come that week and the service man showed up at the appointed time. Talon H. is very knowledgeable about the cause and repair of our Whirlpool washer. He fixed it in short time Did a couple of towels that were in the washer just to make sure it was working properly. A Guinco tech repaired our Maytag washer under a Maytag authorized service plan on 6/30/25. At the time I thought he did a good job. Last week I noticed the top cap of the washer was not reattached to the base. When I called Guinco on 8/7/25 to ask that they come out and reattach the cap, they did not return my call. I called again today (8/14/25) and was told since it had been a little more than a month, they would require a new service request to come out and fix their mistake. The Guinco rep I spoke with said this came from her supervisor. It was a Guinco mistake to not reattach the cap, but they refused to come out unless they got paid a second time to fix their mistake. read more

We have used Guinco repair three times in the last year for continuous issues with our ice maker. It's a Whirlpool side-by-side with the freezer drawer on the bottom but the ice maker with ice & water dispenser up top. Anyhow Jeremy White has been the technician each visit and I have been very pleased with the service provided. Highly satisfied with the ease of scheduling, good communication and prompt/on-time arrival for appointments. Each time Jeremy has spent the time to troubleshoot the issue and been able to get our ice maker working again. read more

When the service tech was here, he indicated that he couldn't install all of the new rollers for our gas dryer. He installed two new ones and left two of the old (but still functional) rollers in place, due to the difficulty in reaching the old rollers. When he finished the service call, I noticed that the invoice did not reflect the above information, specifically that the warranty for the new rollers also covered the old rollers, even though the tech said it would. Despite 3 separate calls to the office, I have yet to receive an updated invoice reflecting the warranty on this service call. This was dramatically worse of an experience than we expected. read more

In January [you do the Math], a Guinco technician came to our home to replace a broken oven door spring. In the process, the technician dropped the door and broke it. Guinco hasn't found a replacement door and has now gone silent. We have called many times to ask for the status of a repair or replacement, but we've getting brushed off without a solution. My partner has written a letter to the company's president, Jeff Guinn (who didn't even care to respond). Yet, we're still without a working oven for all this time. This is some astonishingly poor customer service, and we've been contemplating taking legal actions! For your own good, stay away from these guys! read more

John came on Wedn 8/21, he listened to us and did his on assessment. Then he got our Upright Whirlpool refrigerator running, thank God. Then John ordered the parts on the spot and then was right back early on Monday morning 8/26 to make the needed repairs for the long term. Jose M came out and repaired the screen on our Whirlpool double oven. It went out after only about 4 uses within a one year time frame. He was super helpful with tips and tricks on how to best utilize the products so they perform well and he also helped us out with an extended warranty. Normally I turn those down but after hearing him out, it honestly doesn't make sense not to do it especially on this oven that has a digital control screen. The extended warranties can be cancelled any time and it's no contract. I would highly recommend the extended warranties and Jose M at Guinco. read more

This was my first time using Guinco. I was very happy with them. My oven stopped working and they sent Tai to take a look at it. He quickly identified the issue was that my heating element had gone out. He ordered a new one. Once it arrived, he came back and installed it. He was quick and efficient on both trips. We called GUINCO when our Whirlpool oven quit working. They were very courteous & able to set up the appointment for the next day. They texted us a 3 hour window when the tech would arrive. Justin arrived right on time & was very proficient & nice. He asked us several questions & was able to determine we needed a new thermal fuse. He had the part with him, & replaced it quickly. He then advised us about not opening the oven door to let it cool down. He also told us how to clean the oven without using the self clean setting. We appreciated his advice. Terrible service. Tech has come out 3 times, including today, on a Whirlpool washer that is still under warranty. Whirlpool Customer Service was the one that set up the initial service call with Guinco on Wednesday, November 11. It went from bad to worse today when the tech that came out yesterday did something that caused water to leak from washer which I found out this morning. See pic attached. She came out again today to look at it and claimed it was not of her doing and asked me to call a plumber instead. This is the same tech that came out yesterday and claimed the circuit board sent to them was the wrong part and thus we have to wait another week for the correct part and hopefully get it fixed this time. She was always blaming the issue on something or someone else and not claiming any responsibility for her actions which is quite disturbing to me. I just called 480-536-9001 and left a message for a Supervisor to call me and also request another tech to finish what still has not been remedied. We have had the "luck" to have used Guinco's service several times over the last few years. The technicians have always showed up on time and been great to work with. They genuinely understand the issues the homeowners have with faulty appliances and have gone out of their way to explain the problem, the repair needed, and if there are options - try to find the best solution for the least expense. We have been very pleased every time despite the repair generally being quite expensive - at least our technician wasn't the problem. read more

Showed up on time and explained why Whirlpool engineers design their products the way they do now. Was given good suggestions on how to work with new fridge. He did a good job explaining work arounds. However we will return this new Whirlpool if it is possible. While it works the way it was designed ...it was designed cheaply. We have used Whirlpool with great success over the decades....this new generation cuts corners on compressors and installing tiny and much more slower icemakers. Little cubes instead of the larger crescents. Also refrig is not cooling below 40 degrees. Ditto for water dispenser...you can get maybe on cup of cold water as they did away with the reservoir and now use cheaper coiled vinyl tubing taped to back of wall. We will work with Whirlpool and Lowes to see if we can swap out. Read reviews on this side by side refrigerator and we are not alone. Avoid Whirlpool....they are now cheaply made. read more

Some days, you just get really, really lucky. That's what happened to us when our stove started shooting sparks and smoke from the inside. We called for service and were connected to Guinico Service. Here's where the lucky part comes in - we were assigned Randall Sims as our technician. Unbelievably personable! Unbelievably professional. He knows his business inside out and upside down. He took the time to explain every aspect of our problem and what it would take to repair it. When the part we needed wasn't readily available, he went out of his way to locate it. And although the anticipated time for him to return was about two weeks, he returned four days later with the part and completed the repair. We cannot say enough good things about Randall Sims!
