The new store manager talk to people very rough but not sure he see it specially on the phone and come across RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. We really like this Petsmart. Always a good selection, great service from some of them. But now my biggest beef is prices are getting out of hand. Our dog food of choice four years ago was $49 for 50 pounds. Over the last three years we've seen the price rise up to 100 dollars for less product. Today, same dog food brand is $90 for 30 pound bag. Same sized bag, just less in it. Know this is a bigger issue, but enough is enough. I change the diet of my dogs for more organic so will not be using Petsmart anymore.

My dog is extremely small, fragile, and senior, so she requires gentle handling and extra caution. Instead, she was put in harm's way by her groomer, Ronnie F. Ronnie called me to say that my dog had "slipped out of the leash" and fallen to the floor, hitting her hip. She delivered this news without any apology, without urgency, and without the slightest concern for my dog's well-being. Her tone was cold and dismissive, as if she was inconvenienced by the accident not responsible for it. A groomer's FIRST responsibility is to ensure the animal is properly secured before picking up any tools. Especially with an elderly dog, safety should be the top priority. The fact that my dog fell at all shows clear negligence. But what disturbed me even more was the groomer's attitude afterward. When I arrived, Ronnie continued speaking to me with a nonchalant, irritated tone--like she was the victim in the situation instead of the person who caused it. She still never apologized. Instead, she raised her voice, said she "needed to go to the back," and walked away as if she could not be bothered with the very real possibility that she had injured a senior dog. I was polite to her the entire time, yet she acted as if she was being attacked, even though all I wanted was an explanation and reassurance that my dog was okay. My aunt asked how a secured dog could fall, and Ronnie's response was, "When they're this old, it could happen." That statement alone shows a complete lack of accountability. Age is not an excuse for negligence. What happened today makes me seriously question how many other animals have been treated this way. Mistakes may happen, but a lack of empathy, a lack of responsibility, and a complete failure to show basic professionalism is unacceptable especially in a job that involves vulnerable pets. My dog could have been seriously injured, and instead of compassion, we were met with attitude. That is not the kind of person who should be working with animals.

Washing this guy is a pain, but I figured I would use somebody else's tub rather than make mine dirty. :-) I'd just cut him when I got home. Spot's was great! Super friendly staff, the tubs had built-in dispensers with four different types of shampoos that all smelled wonderful, all the towels and brushes you need, and even some warm sugar cookie cologne for the end. Washing your dog and professional bath with a restraint makes a huge difference - we were in and out in 35 minutes, and that included drying and using the 'evil' blow dryer. ALSO - they have TWO Tesla charging stations! I know that's not a huge selling point, but it was a pleasant surprise for me and I got to top off my charge while taking care of Koda. Enthusiastically recommended.

Yesterday I had my Doodle groomed and noticed an extra charge of $20 dollars written on the bill. It said Doodle Fee. I asked the associate what that meant and she said oh it's just an extra fee for Doodles. I asked her why and she stated it's because they started getting so many in the store. So I said that makes no sense at all! It's just a grift then. She said not necessarily sometimes they are in bad shape. I said well Angus is not in bad shape. He is well taken care of and he is an easy groom. The groomer has told me that he is a very good boy and that he kisses her the entire time. I then told her there is a fee for de-matting so her explanation really makes no sense. I told her that I was not ok with paying the fee. I said I will have to take him somewhere else and she casually said "Ok". She then walked to the back and spoke to someone I guess. She didn't bring Angus and said "The Doodle fee has always been there and you just didn't see it." She also stated they went up on all their prices which I didn't care about at all. She sat there blankly staring at me and said that's the price do you want to add a tip. I was furious but I paid and left. So if you have a Doodle instead of a Poodle you should stay away from this place because I also asked if that was the case and I was told the blanket charge just applies to Doodles.

For a while, we were picking up his food in-person, until I received an email saying that Hollywood Feed offers FREE same-day delivery. I was SO excited --and we've been using this service ever since! All you have to do is place your order through their website and select same-day delivery at checkout. I will note that you do have to be within a certain mile radius for same-day delivery, but we live on the other side of town from this location, so I can imagine it's a pretty wide radius. If you order before 6 p.m. you'll get your delivery that evening. Tips are recommended, but not required - although I'm happy to tip anyone who's lifting a 25 pound bag of dog food so I don't have to! The team often leaves us a sweet note wishing us a nice day, and includes few small sample treats for our dog. We'll continue to order our dog's food from Hollywood Feed for this level of care - you just don't find that at other pet stores!
