Sweet Petunia loves Wags and Whiskers!
Carolyn H.

My dog really enjoys going to W&W. The staff is always so happy to see her and she loves the little treats they give her. I always enjoy the music that they play and the experience is always positive. If you are going to go to a dog wash, this place cannot be beat.

Such a cute place to take your pup! We found that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The selection was also good, plus the good washing areas looked clean and a good place to wash your pup.

Such a clean doggy.

This is a great local pet store. It is a bit of a challenge to find if you are using waze - your gps will say you have arrived (at a bar - hmmm waze really does know me!) but keep driving around the back ... down an alley, directly behind The Treehouse Restaurant and you will see their parking area behind the building. Wags & Whiskers have a great selection of different pet foods, toys, leashes etc - but we always come for the doggy wash. Sunny, our chocolate lab, needed a good washing so we decided to give W&W a try. They were so helpful the 1st time we went with showing us the ropes, suggesting different shampoos (oatmeal is great for doggy dandruff). Don't get me wrong, it is definitely a self serve wash, but we all enjoyed the time, got a bit wet cuz wifey can't spray straight and ended up with a very clean shiny dog. I think the cost was about $15, but we thought it was very much worth it for the use of the wash tub, special soap, towels/air dryer and a nice spritz of conditioner/perfume at the end. We have returned 3 more times and each time same great customer service and a happy clean doggy. This is a great neighborhood hidden pet gem - please support them to help keep Nashville full of small businesses!!

We have been coming here to this location since opening 10 years ago and every experience has been better then the last. The store is always well stocked and the service is on point with knowledgeable people who have studied the products to make informed recommendations.

An awesome diy dog wash in East Nashville, Wags & Whiskers was close, offered a great place and looked like it had a nice, natural boutique vibe. It delivered on all fronts. The staff was friendly and sweet to my dog, helped get me set up at one of three (I think) bath stations. There's currently a $10 special for dog baths regardless of weight. They offer a list of awesome natural shampoos for different needs and I went with the Peppermint & Eucalyptus shampoo for my dog who spends a lot of time outdoors. It's a great set up - a large tin tub with a simple suction and collar system to keep the dog from jumping out. They gave me towels and had several kinds of rubber and deshedding brushes on hand. The hose was easy to use and had warm water. The hose has different water stream options and was a little finicky but the young woman working helped me use it. Another staff member gave my nervous dog a few treats which was greatly appreciated. I didn't use the drying station, instead I towel dried my dog and took him for a walk in the sun around 5 points. I didn't feel rushed at all and bought some treats for my dog and cat after. The store is located in the lot around the back from the Red Door Saloon and has parking. An important note: spot's pet supply (in association with the Dog Spot) is much closer to me but after doing some online research about their owners when I was looking for a dog daycare I feel it would be socially irresponsible to spend money there. They have some great reviews and this choice isn't based on their facilities or staff but on the owners alone. The way they respond to criticism on Yelp is belittling, immature and unprofessional. They also have been featured in the news harassing tenants at a property they do not own, and harassing tenants late on rent at their own properties. So all that being said, Wags is a great business in the same neighborhood and if you're looking for good quality dog and cat supplies or a place to wash your pooch and live in the neighborhood, consider spending your money here instead.

First time here... it was amazing! Sam was super helpful and sweet! She helped me get set up with my two pups. It was quiet in there which was nice. And the store was very clean. We definitely will be back!

All the employees are knowledgeable and very nice. Small space, but they have everything we need. The bath tubs are great. A lot of toys and treats I have not seen before. Astro the Airedale gives them a big paw up

The best pet store in Nashville by far! The staff is always beyond friendly and they help us order whatever we need.

Still great place but the 50% check in offer is not valid...or at least when I tried to redeem.

Koda is a miniature goldendoodle and was in major need of a bath and a face/sanitary trim. I didn't…read morereally want to spend $80 for a groomer, especially because I like for him to be fluffy and we're probably two months from needing a full grooming. Washing this guy is a pain, but I figured I would use somebody else's tub rather than make mine dirty. :-) I'd just cut him when I got home. Spot's was great! Super friendly staff, the tubs had built-in dispensers with four different types of shampoos that all smelled wonderful, all the towels and brushes you need, and even some warm sugar cookie cologne for the end. Washing your dog and professional bath with a restraint makes a huge difference - we were in and out in 35 minutes, and that included drying and using the 'evil' blow dryer. ALSO - they have TWO Tesla charging stations! I know that's not a huge selling point, but it was a pleasant surprise for me and I got to top off my charge while taking care of Koda. Enthusiastically recommended.

I've been a customer at Spot's since I moved here over a year ago. I was always happy with their…read moregrooming of my dog as well as their customer service. Yesterday I had my Doodle groomed and noticed an extra charge of $20 dollars written on the bill. It said Doodle Fee. I asked the associate what that meant and she said oh it's just an extra fee for Doodles. I asked her why and she stated it's because they started getting so many in the store. So I said that makes no sense at all! It's just a grift then. She said not necessarily sometimes they are in bad shape. I said well Angus is not in bad shape. He is well taken care of and he is an easy groom. The groomer has told me that he is a very good boy and that he kisses her the entire time. I then told her there is a fee for de-matting so her explanation really makes no sense. I told her that I was not ok with paying the fee. I said I will have to take him somewhere else and she casually said "Ok". She then walked to the back and spoke to someone I guess. She didn't bring Angus and said "The Doodle fee has always been there and you just didn't see it." She also stated they went up on all their prices which I didn't care about at all. She sat there blankly staring at me and said that's the price do you want to add a tip. I was furious but I paid and left. So if you have a Doodle instead of a Poodle you should stay away from this place because I also asked if that was the case and I was told the blanket charge just applies to Doodles.
