The staff are cheerful and I feel like family every time I visit, whether a routine checkup or something more severe. I feel like my health is being "managed", not just a visit answering checkboxes. I have been going to Hunterdon family practice since I moved to the area in 2001. They delivered both of my children, who now go there too. I am shocked at the negative reviews. I have always had extremely positive experiences with the receptionists, nurses and doctors, no matter which doctor we see. I highly recommend the practice!!!! read more

I am surprised at the negative reviews. I started coming here in early 2017 for my first pregnancy. I live 30 minutes away and I continue to bring my son and myself here. They treat me like family. Barb at the front desk is great. I love Dr. Hannema, she can be difficult to get an appointment with Im assuming because so do others. Dr. Plunkett is nice as well as Dr. Joseph. Oh and Mimnaugh as well! Honestly everyone I've met here, which has been nearly everyone at this point has been very friendly and welcoming from doctors to receptionists, nurses to assistants, all so nice. I will continue to come here and bring my son. read more

I have been seeking medical care from this office for over five years now and I cannot rave enough about the medical staff. They are always so kind, professional, and compassionate. Nicole Domanski is absolutely wonderful and is very knowledgeable. She truly does care about her patients and has a way of making you smile when you are feeling your absolute worst. She's an amazing provider and I highly highly recommend her. Additionally, Devon is a fantastic medical assistant. She is very caring and excellent at drawing blood- I can be a hard stick and she always gets my veins without causing me any pain or discomfort. I was told by Dr. Plunkett that my son had until he was *nine months old* to receive his last Rotavirus liquid vaccine. We recently moved to Hoboken so I took my son to a new doctor on July 19th 2017 here to get the Rotavirus liquid vaccine, he was *eight months and one week* at this visit. His new Dr informed me that that the cut off for the last Rotavirus liquid vaccine was eight months not nine. I called Dr. Plunkett's office on July 19th 2017 and left a message with the receptionist asking what latest the last dose of this vaccine could be given, wanting to see if perhaps I had remembered incorrectly. When I received a call back later that day it was from my favorite nurse, nurse Ginger. She is very kind and I like her a lot. Nurse Ginger spoke with Dr. Plunkett and relayed that information to me. Dr. Plunkett indeed said yet again that the cut off for the last dose was *nine months*. I told nurse Ginger that my son's new doctor said the cut off was eight months and he can not receive it now, I told her that I was very upset that he is now not be fully protected due to Dr. Plunkett's incorrect information. Nurse Ginger said she would see if Dr. Plunkett could do more research and give me a call back. I said yes I would appreciate that! At that point I was very upset because my son is now too old for receive his last Rotavirus liquid vaccine all because Dr. Plunkett gave me the wrong information. After five long days had passed without hearing from Dr. Plunkett or anyone else I called the office again on July 24th 2017 and asked to speak to Dr. Plunkett directly as to why this happened. When finally recieved a call back later that day it was not from Dr. Plunkett it was from a woman named Trisha who I am assuming is a nurse. Trisha apologized for the mis information and said she feels badly that this happened. She seemed embarrassed and said that the rules on when to give each dose of this vaccine had changed and it used to be nine month cut off for the last does. I asked her when the rules changed and she did not know. How could Dr. Plunkett a practicing doctor in a well respected hospital not be up to date on important updated vaccine information? I told Trisha that this could potentially be a huge problem for them if one of Dr. Plunkett's patients did indeed get sick with Rotavirus they could have a huge problem on their hands. She agreed and said she would let Dr. Plunkett know. I am extremely concerned with how many patients Dr. Plunkett gave this incorrect information to and very disappointed that someone this incompetent is in practice at such a prestigious hospital. This is negligence and should be considered malpractice. read more

I have been going to this office for most of my life. Over the past several years the service has declined dramatically. It seems like every time I have a good connection with a physician, they leave - and I understand why. 1. They are incredibly unprofessional - doctors won't call you back, but their "team" will and the team is incompetent and rude. The physician is the one in the exam room with me, I expect an explanation from them 2. They have mis-diagnosed myself and family members several times - they had three of the physicians look at an insect bite and all swore it was a tick bite. They gave medication for Lyme disease and a week into taking the medication they called to say I didn't have Lyme and to stop taking medication. 3. They are condescending and offensive - I am over twenty years old and I still get treated like I am five at this office. They also make you feel like a moron if you don't want to do things they want to do (ie, take a flu vaccine). I have had nothing but headaches here. Each time I leave the office I feel as though I wasn't listened to and no resolution is made. I am a woman, but maybe there is a little too much estrogen in this office. read more
