I never expected to find barbecue this flavorful in such a small town. According to our hostess, Buddy's Barbecue is actually owned by two buddies--and after our meal, it's easy to see they've got the recipes, the passion, and the service to back up the name. I ordered the half rack of ribs with the baked beans, which the hostess highly recommended, and I'm glad I listened. The ribs were tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, while the baked beans were some of the best I've had. My friend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a baked potato, and it looked so good that we ended up sharing our meals so we could each try everything. Every bite was outstanding. The restaurant was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast from start to finish. If you're anywhere near the area and craving authentic barbecue, Buddies in Barbecue is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back!

The Mouthful definitely lives up to its name. It's huge, incredibly filling, and absolutely worth ordering if you're hungry. To top it all off, we tried the crème brûlée for the first time ever, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. It was delicious and made for an awesome first experience with the dessert. Overall, South Street Grill exceeded all expectations. It does get busy, which isn't surprising considering how good the food is, but it's easy to get to and well worth the wait. I hope they ask town council for an amendment to get a boundary change for the DORA right away. Hopefully being in DORA would help move their license app to be approved. IMO there's nothing better than a good Margarita with my Mex or with today's to go changes, to have a treat at home. I wish there would be room for a nice patio there too lol! I'm so glad someone took a chance and opened Mexican food in town! I'm finding it hard to get excited about the new places popping up around here--it feels like they're all just trying to be the next burger joint, wing spot, or deep-fryer obsessed. I'm hoping we, as residents, can all lend a hand in supporting this family owned restaurant option.
