Not usually one to write reviews, but my husband and I travel almost an hour and a half to visit here, with this being our 3rd time here yesterday. Our server Raina is always an absolute joy. She is so friendly, fun and always upbeat, and honestly makes our dinner even better. She was attentive and made us feel like we were regulars! While on a road trip, we went through Norwalk and started looking for a place to eat. We saw the reviews for this restaurant on Yelp and we thought ...Wow this place better live up to the hype! I'm happy to report that it did! As others have stated it is really beautiful. And the owner has tried to keep the updates true to the history of this building. And it has just about everything! When we first walked in, it was a very cute, cozy, Coffee Shop! Then of course you have the Main Dining room. Keep going and you'll see Dinky's their Bar which features a boat that serves as the liquor cabinet! And yet one more room for Events - holds about 50 people. Each and every room is set up perfectly for the venue it is intended for. My husband read a review about the Burger with bacon jam - so he ordered that and Loved it! I got fish and chips and they were also very good. We also got an onion rings.... they were OK - nothing to write home about. I actually really wanted a burger, but the burgers there are huge! I guess my request would be that they put a smaller burger on the menu for those of us with smaller appetites Pleeeze Our waitress was named Crystal and she was very knowledgeable about the establishment and had a very cool laid-back manner. Her friendly attitude is a real asset to Berrys. She did a great job today! I met the Owner while she was setting up the Event space for a party, and she was very nice. You can tell that she works hard there and really cares about the customer's experience. Great service, cute old-fashioned atmosphere but a surprisingly diverse American menu. Definitely worth a stop if you are near Norwalk! The baked goat cheese with crostini appetizer was particularly good! read more

While passing through Norwalk, we stopped for lunch the Wednesday before Thanksgiving on our way to our families, out of town. The restaurant is beautiful inside. I don't know much about the history but it looks like it may have had a recent remodel, keeping so much of the cities history. My husband ordered the Berry burger and I got the breaded chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches came with fries. We both enjoyed our lunches. The chicken sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. We will for sure come back. The service was fast and very friendly. Added plus, the restrooms were spotless. read more

Hey! All you Rat Pack (and Poutine) Enthusiasts, it's time to flock to Norwalk, Ohio, because Berry's is open again on Main Street, and they're on a roll. No snake eyes here, my friends, only a string of solid sevens, and a soirée of savory side-bet winners that go on & on. The owner, Carlyn Wall, and the executive chef, Cheryl Beach, have teamed up to take everything that was always good about Berry's, and made it sooooooo much better at Berry's on Main. Everything that comprises the ambience of this hidden-in-plain-sight foodie jewel says "quality"... from the golden rehabilitation of the original, vaulted metal ceiling, to the painstakingly hand-carved, replacement tiles in the perfectly restored, and fully re-grouted mosaic flooring. Likewise, everything about both the food, and the service they purvey here also says "care" in everything they do. Tim Bryant, our cheerful, professional, and attentive server brought us spot-on Poutine for a starter that would've made our Food Truck Days friend, Tim The Canadian Wheat Truck Diver, very homesick indeed. Mom, and I both ordered the meatloaf, because it's the dish my Great Aunt Lois once almost broke a hip for in her excitement to get out of the car, and into the restaurant, on one particularly special birthday. The meatloaf did not disappoint. It was exactly what you would have expected to come from the caring hands of your grandmother, and her grandmother before her. It wasn't sauced up with some strange sauce, it had no outlandish ingredients, and it had just the right amount of ketchup on it to give it the moisture, and the tang it deserved. My Mac, and Cheese was just like what my step-mother would have made (and just like the Lemon Merengue Pie recipe plot device in the movie "Toast" her's was an ooey, gooey, chewy side dish worth stealing)... so cheesy... so good. Speaking of cheese, Mom said of the NY Cheesecake, "It tastes like something; it's got a lot of little flavors in it." And that's true of everything here. Everything tastes like something you remember eating, even if you've never eaten anything like that before... like a memory you never knew you had, but always did. Today we stopped back by for a breakfast that lived up to the ethos of the lunch & dinner menus in all respects. I had the corned beef hash & eggs, while Mom opted for the traditional eggs, meat & potatoes... we both had the sweet cream pancakes (because... pancakes made with cream... oh yeah!). As we ate, Old Blue Eyes crooned about picking a plum, just as we did when we chose to try this everything-old-is-new-again Berry's on Main. So pick yourself a plum, all you hep cats & cool cat wannabes, and hurry on down... put on your fedora & make the trip to Norwalk. Took over half hour to get food, waitress stopped once to ask if everything was ok, asked for more coffee, she came back ten minutes later and only refilled one of our cups. Couldn't even get a chance to ask for hot sauce, she seemed to disappear and only wait on the tables with half dozen or more people. We won't be back. read more

Beautiful 1800s vibe. Great food at very reasonable prices. Went there with my sister and my mom. We were in awe at the original architecture. I'm taking my wife to experience their menu tonight. read more
