It consisted of basic items, hand soap, paper towels, etc - but it made me think these guys went the extra mile to welcome me. The aspect I love the most is the events the building hosts. It provides a medium for community engagement. The rooftop has a breathtaking view of the city, wireless access, a club room with a tv and mini-bar, two grills, patio furniture, and a gym! There is also a business center in the lobby. The location speaks for itself - you are living in the heart of DC's nightlife. Trader Joe's is directly across the street. A couple dry cleaners are nearby. The U Street Metro is 2 blocks. So far, these guys have hit a grand slam with the place.

Everything from the club house, on site, 24-hour gym, modern/updated apartments, pool area, I give everything a 10/10. The apartments are spacious, interior space is maximized, designed well and definitely have a welcome home vibe. My appointment was scheduled for noon, there wasn't a lot of traffic moving around the complex which is nice. This is a small community that is nestled in the midst of single family and townhomes which I also love, they are hidden in plain sight. I also love how they are conveniently located near a shopping center with plenty of food options, entertainment and basic needs. He just moved out after nearly 5 years there, and I have nothing but good things to say about his experience. His studio apartment was perfect for a college kid's needs, and anytime there were maintenance issues they were promptly addressed. He didn't have to worry about anything. The most important aspect of his stay there, though, was the staff. From George, who we helped us choose a unit and set up the lease, to the front door staff--especially Walter (who my son grew to love and will miss)--everyone went above and beyond to be welcoming and helpful, not just to my son but to my husband and me when we would visit. Even during move out this was the case (special mention again to Walter for his help--you are an angel!). Any GW parents looking into Hamilton House for their student: this is a really great option for off campus housing. It's quiet, safe, and the building is managed well. Can't recommend highly enough!

At first glance, Everly Apartments in Upper Marlboro looks like a beautiful, well-maintained…read morecommunity. Unfortunately, the nice appearance is all smoke and mirrors. The leasing team is friendly and welcoming while you're applying, but once you move in, that support disappears--especially when real issues arise. Security is a major concern here. Despite signs stating that the property has surveillance, I found out after my car was stolen just two weeks after I bought it that the cameras only cover the inside of the buildings--not the parking areas. This means there is no real security presence to protect residents or their property. My friend also had their tires stolen, and several other residents have reported vandalism and theft with no meaningful response from management. There's no follow-up, no empathy, and no accountability. Instead of addressing safety issues, management seems more focused on towing vehicles--even for things like expired tags, which feels excessive and invasive. The overall attitude from the management team is dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than taking responsibility or offering solutions, they make tenants feel like the problem. Living here has felt unsafe, both physically and mentally. There's no sense of community care or transparency--just a focus on collecting rent. I would not recommend Everly Apartments to anyone seeking a secure or supportive living environment.
