Save your money/time and move somewhere else…read more I've been living here for over a year, and almost every time I get home from work, my apartment smells like weed from one of the neighbors, which wouldn't be a big deal if I wasn't in the military and if I wasn't a single parent trying to raise a young child here as a single parent. Also, my car has been broken into twice, and in the last month, this apartment complex has towed my car twice while I'm waiting on my updated registration. For what we're paying in rent, I honestly think they should put more effort into fixing things like the car wash or hiring part time security, instead of throwing parties like ice cream socials and pet adoption events. Most of the staff I've interacted with at the leasing office are friendly and polite, with the exception of one person. I don't know/care to know her name, but if you happen to meet her, you'll probably notice her by her size and her rude attitude.

**Not A Resident**…read more This review is on the tour I took of the property. Initially, I was turned off because upon entering the leasing office, I was just instructed to have a seat. Not greeted, no introduction, just instructed to have a seat and to fill out a form. After completing the form, I was then asked a serious of questions about what I was looking for etc. I didn't not like the fact that I could not be giving an exact price for each unit because "the prices change everyday" and that each unit had a different lease length. I also disliked the fact that the water would be billed by the apartment complex and not a county water supplier, how do I know what I'm getting billed for. Also, when looking at these apartments online, I was misled to believe that there are washers and dryer in each unit however, that's not the case. You can either rent a full size washer and drying for $60 a month or buy your own, they also have laundry rooms in each building. Also during the tour, I felt rushed while touring the unit. There isn't a playground or security. There isn't controlled entry building either. The bathrooms are very small and oddly set up. I absolutely loved the kitchen but that was about it.

When I went to turn in the keys on the morning of November 29th, I explained to Vanessa (the office manager on duty) that the apartment was clean and I only had one set of keys to hand over. She verbally instructed me to turn both sets in the following Monday and assured me I would not be charged for a late key return, extra days, or pre-existing damage to the blinds (which had been addressed during our initial move-in). Despite her word, I was charged for both upon move-out. Please note: they fixed all of the blinds except one because it was on backorder. That was the only maintenance issue they ever addressed from my list, and only because I repeatedly placed work orders requesting the change. When confronted by the property manager, Vanessa blatantly lied and denied telling me anything. I even requested a walk-through that morning, but she told me not to worry about it and reiterated that I wouldn't be charged for the blinds. Why would anyone send six emails, make numerous calls to the complex and corporate, and drive an hour to the office (because the property manager doesn't return calls) if the complaint wasn't valid? This is a $150 discrepancy, but as I told the regional manager via voicemail--since you can never get a live person--it is about principles and integrity more than the money. They may have my money, but they are severely lacking in character. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. IF I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD. THE REVIEW BELOW REFLECTS OUR EXPERIENCE DURING OUR FIRST 6 MONTHS AT SPARK WALDORF Maintenance does not address, or even attempt to follow up on, complaints submitted through the portal. I have even brought these issues to the office in person. They still haven't addressed the initial issues submitted upon move-in. It would be nice to open my windows, but I am missing several screens. Furthermore, my washer still turns on by itself--I have to unplug it for financial and safety reasons--and it fails to regulate temperature. It ruined an expensive cashmere sweater, an issue I reported personally to the maintenance man, who gave me a false promise that he would replace it. That was in January. Additionally, they fail to enforce the smoke-free policy they claim is part of the lease, and they do nothing to address the dog waste issue. They don't provide bags at the stations or maintain the dog park. The list goes on. For the most part, this complex has the potential to be what it claims to be in advertisements. However, issues must be addressed and people must be held accountable for the jobs they were hired to do. If everyone did their part, this place would be amazing.

Thats unfair as well. So my family and i took a vacation for 2 weeks and came back to a $700 light bill. People that dont live in this building charge thier cars on this building and nothing had been done. My light bill has not been under $400. Now if i dont pay that, my lights get cut off.
