Went there for one thing . The thing they're famous for. Awesome wings!!! Seated quickly and given our menus . It's a busy place so it took a couple minutes for our waitress to come over but it gave us a chance to look over the crazy sauces they make . I picked Hot of course and Golden Garlic . My buddy chose Honey Cajun. Drinks were never empty and wings were out in good time. Crispy and sauced at the last minute. We have made Hunters our go to spot when near Meadville. read more

Wow!!!! Rarely would I imagine stopping into a new restaurant and be blown away with all points of service The staff is awesome. Extremely friendly and very helpful. Party of 5 plus 1 fur baby - our fur baby had his drink before we sat down. NOT COMPLAINING it was extremely thoughtful and very welcoming!!! Only wish there was more shady areas for table dining- we did move when a table was available and it just made it a perfect dining outside experience The food was awesome. We shared appetizers, wings and entrees and everything was delicious. The kitchen staff must love what they do - the food came out plated nicely, super fast and correct. Only sad that we live in the Buffalo area and can't stop in more often. But when we are back for a visit with family we will definitely be heading to Hunters Inn for a meal. Nice local tavern. I just wish they would fully coat their wings instead of just putting them in a basket and drizzling sauce on top of the entire pile. They do this with both wet and dry flavors. The dry flavors should be shaken with the seasoning as soon as it comes out of the fryer in order to stick to and coat the wings. Otherwise they're just plain wings with Cajun seasoning sprinkled over top. Wings should be placed in the sauce directly out of the deep fryer to absorb the flavor. But this isn't the only place that I've seen do it this way. I never had any problems with the servers when we've been there. I like that they have Dos Equis beer available. Fair prices for what you get. We enjoy sitting out on their patio. read more

They serve up the best bone in wings in Crawford County. Your choice of numerous sauces. The menu has a great tasting blooming onion and the Jim and Waffle fries are the bomb. This was okay. The wings were good, but expensive in my opinion. I ordered a burger, medium rare. It was over cooked and dry. Fries were delicious. Summer sangria. Not sure what that was. Grapefruit ? Not sure. When we got there they asked if we had reservations. So if you are planning on a Friday night dining experience, make reservations. Or... We were seated on the deck, in the blazing sun. There are these header type frames around the deck. Very easily could put something up for shade. I thought the one poor guy was going to have a heatstroke. I don't know that I would return. But there are not too many choices out this way. read more

Fabulous eatery! The staff has been amazing and the food absolutely delicious! We love the onion blossom! This place is basically "the" wing establishment of the Meadville area. I now live in Eastern PA and will say that nothing comes close to the various wing joints in Western PA / Western NY. The wings simply do NOT compare. As for Hunters, it's busy on the weekends, especially before and after Meadville / Maplewood / Cochranton sporting events. I don't honestly think I've went wrong with any of the wing varieties here. Hot wings, Yuengling, and an order of waffle fries with a side of blue cheese and you're set. I also recommend the butter garlic wings. If you're in a hurry, get 'em to go. If you're looking for an awesome selection of beers on the other hand, this is not the place to find it. Dress casual. Good food-NOT family friendly. We met friends (which we have done for years since moving from the area) for dinner. The kids wanted to play pool and the waitress said it was fine. We paid for the game and kept the food and drinks at the table. The "new owner" came and told them they couldn't play and took the sticks away. I confronted her about why she didn't come to us (the parents) and she told me she paid "a lot of money" for the table and it was an "adult game". I told her our kids weren't doing anything wrong and that we asked before we let them play. She said she didn't know who the parents were (we were sitting at the table we reserved that was next to the pool table) and that she didn't know the waitress said it was ok. I told her I didn't appreciate being treated that way. Instead of acknowledging she was wrong, she told me it was and "adult game" again. I told her we spent over $100 there that night and that we would not be back. She told me that she didn't want me to come back....NO PROBLEM!!!! read more
