HMHD has been great to work with. I'm a vet w anxiety issues from Iraq and a lot of time apologize for minor things or something where I don't need to apologize for at all. Dealing w an issue I needed serviced, Lynn was kind and patient with me and answered my questions. I've also dealt w their parts guys (literally experts) and the gals up in MotorClothes who are friendly (one even gave me advice on potty training our daughter which worked!) I had a great time here. I stopped in on a trip I took to the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee and then to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Along the way I stopped at 22 Harley Davidson Dealerships. This particular dealership is one I highly recommend stopping at. They have a very large showroom, a large service department and a huge entertainment area. This dealership one of the largest of the 22 on the trip. The staff greeted me as soon as I came through the door and gave me the lay of the land and sent me on my way to checkout the dealership and chips. One of the girls even walked me back to the service shop to checkout some of the cool art they had up. Had she not have offered, I would have never have known it was back there. I wish I leaved near here just to partake in a bike night or two here. They must be awesome. This was one of the dealerships I spent the most time on the trip. If I return the area again, I will be back. read more

Originally this location was called "Boiler" H-D. Being a Purdue graduate, I ADORED that name and purchased A LOT of merchandise, prior to the name change. I can only imagine why they need to change it, but enough of that issue. This is a visually appealing and spacious H-D; selling bikes, clothing and parts. Does it get any better than that?!? Any time I have visited I have received a hardy, "Welcome! Can I help you find anything?" When I replied "Just looking." I was left to my own to shop to my heart's delight, without anyone hovering or badgering me. I no longer live in Indiana, but I make a point to stop in anytime we are riding through. See you the first weekend in October for the "real" Feast of the Hunter's Moon. read more

Have taken my bike in for service several times in the past with no issues. I've heard stories from others about them and never believed it. Things are definitely different now! I took my bike in for a 25K service, and an issue with the sound system. I made an appointment a few weeks in advance, the scheduled day came and went with no communication from them. The next day after work I called to check on it. They started running through a list of all the things wrong with it. Oil leaks, transmission leaks, brake problems, exhaust leaks, and of course the radio needed replaced. I found this a little strange since I've no spots on the floor where it's parked. The battery I suspected needed replaced, but had a hard time believing the rest. So I decided to show up after work so the could show me all the issues. They of course couldn't find the paperwork at first then the technician had left for the day. Most of the stuff was covered under my ext. warranty. I told them to do everything except air filter and battery, I would handle them to cut labor costs. Of course parts didn't show up before the weekend so no riding. The next week I heard nothing by Thursday so I called. They said they were still waiting for some parts but it should be done tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. Saturday came and I finally got a call, bike was not done though. I got a sob story about how they were down an injured tech. so it won't be done, but they would discount my bill for excessive time. Not happy but what could I do. Finally on Wednesday I get the call the bike is finally done. I came in after work to pick it up and was hit with a bill $300 higher than expected. They replaced the parts I told them not to and a shifter lever that I had just replaced recently saying it was stripped out. I should have demanded they make it right but who knows how long that would take! I paid and drove out NEVER to return. Oh yeah the discount I did get was no labor charge for the brakes, what a freakin' joke. Another friend of mine took his bike in for service they told him he needed an engine rebuild for $3500 because of deposits on one of his spark plugs. He took it to another dealer in Wabash IN., they disagreed. They said likely needs dyno tune. Pretty sure these guys are HACKS! Stay away. read more

Really don't like this dealership. My experience is sales person was pushy and gave me his card and wanted to call me. Also bought my supplies for my 2016 Roadking 1000 mile service and the sales guy was extremely rude because they wanted to service the bike. He continually questioned me to see if I was capable enough to perform the service.... really not happy with that visit. They also won't even consider a HOG member discount in merchandise. GO To BRANDTS HARLEY DAVIDSON IN WABASH IN. Might be a ride but we'll worth it!!!! read more

Took the bike in last week for a new tire told them what I knew was wrong with the bike so no need to tell me if it's the same things if it was something different to tell me, they call me tell me the tire is on then proced to tell me everything I already knew was wrong no big deal, they told me some stuff I didn't know. Asked for quotes though and all I got was shop hours I am sure if I would have said yes to the shop hours we could have proceeded to get the full quote to include parts but I said no to the items they listed. I did tell them one saddle bag was missing the bolt to the frame noticed it when I got off the bike there. They wanted to charge a half hour of labor, 45 bucks. The bolt literally took me 5 mins to put on. Took longer to make sure I was doing it right and get the bag off. What the hell, I'm spending money there and you can't have the courtesy to put one bolt on that takes 5 minutes instead of wanting to charge me 45 bucks for that half hour of labor. They did however clean my chrome on the bike and when I went in there to pick it up they were very helpful. I have know a couple people to try and buy a bike with them and got hosed on their trade in. That person went to Indy Harley and they offered him $5000 more with out any hassle. The guy checking the bike out at Huntersmoon kept insisting he had to put a new front tire on the bike even though the tire was less than a month old! Overall their service department is fair, but their sales departments not good. I would recommend them if you are needing service they seem to be very thorough and detail the bike after. I do appreciate that a good cleaning, sales however needs some improvement. Will update after next couple of buddies go and talk with them on bikes and see if they have improved any. read more
