The curriculum is more advanced than our experience at CMS, and our kids are encouraged to challenge themselves while being fully supported. They actually enjoy going to school, which says a lot. When our son needed help with reading, he received in-school and after-school tutoring at no cost. Teachers are communicative, with weekly check-ins and extra updates. Every teacher we've had has gone above and beyond. The admin team is engaged and present at drop off and pick up daily. BCCA goes beyond academics with events that build confidence, character, and community. We're so grateful to be part of this diverse, supportive school. Highly recommend.

Not backing up teachers in tough situations. It's very important for teachers to know that they will be supported if they make a decision that will upset a parent. Punishing teachers instead of helping them improve. Teachers are human beings - they make mistakes and have failings. Helping teachers improve is far better than punishing them with bad schedules, room relocations, or layoffs. Sitting in the office instead of roaming the building. Teachers and students should see the principal on a regular basis around the school. Making everything a priority. When everything is your priority, nothing is your priority. Ignoring major problems. We all know that not every problem can be solved. But you can always make an attempt. Appeasing parents when they are being unreasonable. Giving parents what they request when it doesn't impair the education process makes sense. But when it does? Not so much. Allowing favoritism to continue. This is very common for coaches, athletes, and "principal's favorite" teachers. Promising but not delivering. If you're not sure a thing can be done, don't promise it. Not putting academics first. Schools have to be a school first, and everything else second.

Those teachers that are at the school are amazing and class sizes are small my kids went to different school before, A rated school and they love lakeside charter much more and don't want to leave. There was a plumbing issue, because of a big storm that was resolved a long time ago. I can't speak for the special classes my kids are in regular classes but overall it's not a terrible school teachers do the best in accommodating kids and their different levels.

We have had several people promise us that the accounting team is "working hard to process all refunds" & have yet to get anything more than empty promises & the runaround. We have resorted to hiring an attorney to sue them for breach of contract since they have far exceeded the time stated for processing our refund. If you care about your money, take your child somewhere else.

They literally told me in my face, we can use 6 months of your money but we are not going to prepare your son. They wanted my son to have the knowledge of a 7 year old. I don't know what they told my son that every day he came nervous to ask me if I loved him "they had traumatized him" and my son was there for 2 weeks in December and only 3 days in January, they agreed to return my money from January and so far no I have received nothing. Then I saw another parent with her kid in my son's new school, her reason "my daughter needed more action" Yeah... because this ladies from St Mark want your kids to sit for 4 hours without breathing. Pushing children to learn more than what their age allows can lead them to have anxiety, depression and that is why many times they end up hating and even murdering their parents. Do not force your children to listen to these people, the fact that you pay money does not make these places good schools. Of course I'm Latina, and my son is bilingual and Krueger asked me to tell my son not to speak Spanish... what right does that woman ask me to do that? A woman so old and she doesn't know basic Spanish in a country of immigrants? lol at least we have an accent but we speak and understand 2 languages. He really encouraged everyone, especially dads to get involved at school. We had many special events over the years. From dances, to movie nights, to bingo it was all awesome! The PTA and the Odell families really do a great job working together for the good of the students. I am thankful to the school and to the teachers my son had over those three years. There is a reason everyone wants to be in the Odell school zone. Thanks Odell for the lovely memories!!
