Kids made to walk laps in silence as punishment for missed homework. Office workers who don't acknowledge visitors. A principal acted as a union representative/lawyer when we challenged the status quo. This was a bad choice and we are going to seek alternatives as soon as possible. Poorly managed teachers that rely on negative reinforcement, group punishment and yelling, even in music class!

We live about 35 minutes away and are happy with our church, which is closer to home. We knew the church was nice and really enjoyed the services, but we were still very impressed when we came back to tour the GCA side of the church campus. The facilities are new, well maintained, and very clean. The entire staff, from the teachers to the front office, were friendly, kind, and even caring. They definitely helped set a solid foundation for her. I cannot say enough about the job that both teachers did to help with the development of her social skills and character. We would have kept her there for elementary, but the hours and commute were not conducive to my work schedule. I would highly recommend looking into GCA if you are considering preschool or private school in the Lake Norman area.

My youngest son attended this school for three years. We had a fantastic experience from beginning…read moreto end. All of the teachers and staff were wonderful. Dr. Helf was/is a very fun principal. He really encouraged everyone, especially dads to get involved at school. We had many special events over the years. From dances, to movie nights, to bingo it was all awesome! The PTA and the Odell families really do a great job working together for the good of the students. I am thankful to the school and to the teachers my son had over those three years. There is a reason everyone wants to be in the Odell school zone. Thanks Odell for the lovely memories!!

Our youngest just entered kindergarten after two wonderful years in the preschool program. The curriculum is more advanced than our experience at CMS, and our kids are encouraged to challenge themselves while being fully supported. They actually enjoy going to school, which says a lot. When our son needed help with reading, he received in-school and after-school tutoring at no cost. Teachers are communicative, with weekly check-ins and extra updates. Every teacher we've had has gone above and beyond. The admin team is engaged and present at drop off and pick up daily. BCCA goes beyond academics with events that build confidence, character, and community. We're so grateful to be part of this diverse, supportive school. Highly recommend.

We left the school in August 2025 and have yet to receive our deposit refund in April 2026. We have had several people promise us that the accounting team is "working hard to process all refunds" & have yet to get anything more than empty promises & the runaround. We have resorted to hiring an attorney to sue them for breach of contract since they have far exceeded the time stated for processing our refund. If you care about your money, take your child somewhere else.

This was a good school 3 years ago, but has gone down hill, quicker with every passing year. Don't make the same mistake we did and fall for the marketing and admissions hype. They sell a good story, but after you are in, the dream becomes a nightmare. We are not coming back next year and we dread having to work with the registrar and admissions to get our transcripts for our children.
