They gave me a pay off date and amount. I left there thinking all was good and woke up the next more to a man repossing the car!!! I was in shock and explained it must be a mistake and asked him to allow me to call them before he took the car. I did and this incredible nasty man gets on the phone with and says I must allow them to take the car and whoever I talked to was mistaken. I explained I was there day before and had a written pay off and the car was actually in probate so the title would be put in my name. He said I had 15 days to get a letter of authority from probate court and pay off the loan or they would sell it at public auction!! It added insult to injury after losing my mom and was still in shock. I thought I had done the right thing by keeping payments current and letting them no I wanted to pay off the loan and even arrange the date. They were ugly and nasty and made a already awful situation in my life even worse. If the payments had been behind, Then I could had understood this but being I was there in good faith the day before? I called my lawyer and he expeditied the letter of authority through probate when he found out they took the car. They sent me a certified letter and gave me the pay off and added 400 dollars for the repo charge? I go down with cashier check in hand and my letter of authority and then tried to say I owed 20.00 bucks more? I could not believe this? Then they release the lean and I drive to Huber Heights to collect my car and the repo guy told me when he took car tehre would no charge on there end for holding the car and find out they want 200 in cash only? When driving home I start to notice a strange noise? I discovered after taking my car to my repair guy that the noise was my tire and I had just months ago had all brand new tires put on the car. He said one tire had a huge dropping bald spot? When I asked what caused that, He said he had only seen this in repo situations where they drug the car off of trailer. So now, I have to replace the tire. My advice to anyone is avoid Day Air Credit Union as there not professional and there behavior was at best shady.

In response, I shredded my Wright-Patt debit card, credit card, and checks for safety. A few days after I received a new debit card, I received a second debit card with a new number and called the Help Center to make sense of it all. That's when Jonathan answered. He was calm, knowledgeable, and exactly the person I needed. Jonathan explained that my refunded money had been sent to the now-closed, compromised account--but he immediately transferred the funds into my new account. He also confirmed that the second debit card should be shredded and went ahead and ordered me a new credit card. Jonathan even suggested I buy an RFID wallet or sleeves for extra protection. I ordered them from Amazon and had them the next day. Jonathan is THE BEST! He's polite, professional, and still down-to-earth--exactly who you want on the line when things go wrong. He made me feel like everything is going to be OK. Thanks again Jonathan - you made a real difference during a tough moment.

We currently are stationed in Colorado, and requesting a debit card takes about 14 or more days to recieve. The process is intitiated in TEXAS. We could drive there and back in a shorter time. I've complained many times about this over the years to be told there is nothing that can be done. Well, WE CAN do something. Once we are in the area (OH) we will be closing out our accounts with WPCU. In today's world, why does it take 10-12 days to receive a bank card??? AND why are WPCU members paying for this SLOW service. We thought WPCU was FOR MEMBERS?! Audrey...did you not READ the review? I have talked to someone, several times, without resolution. Why would you recommend I speak to someone again??? Quit using this company to process requests. It should NOT take 10-14 days in today's world for a replacement card. However, had a jarring experience recently that is causing me to question whether I should continue with them. As is usual, my wife went to deposit a business check from another local bank branch. We do this once a month or so. This time, however, check was put on hold. Same check amount, once a month from my business to our personal account to cover household expenses. Never have bounced a check, never missed a payment to them on anything. And every deposit ever made has gone through. They've never lost a dime on me. Thought this was probably just a new person, we normally do this on Friday but this month couldn't get there until Saturday. Call the CU on Monday... no matter which number I call - 800 number, different local branches, they all go to the same phone system. I enter my account number "for better service" and system then hangs up on me. I press 0 and don't enter account number, hangs up on me. After about 10 different iterations, gave up and send them an email. I have to work so don't have time to go there in person this morning. This has been infuriating! I recognize society has become more impersonal and that we all have to struggle through everyone's automated system, just expected something slightly better from my local credit union. I paid the payment after the due date, but PNC's payment went through first, so they charged me outrageous fees (claiming that their huge corporation was hurt by having to "loan" me that tax payment). My payment paid forward the. Next 6 month property tax, and I paid the following 6 month property tax. They sent me a check for the overage I paid for property taxes, but refuse to go back to my initial monthly mortgage payments. Now I'm charged interest on money they "think" I need to borrow for taxes every month. MY MORTGAGE IS 60% higher than before they decided I couldn't be trusted to pay my taxes. (Again, payment made a few days after deadline. One time in this property's 14 years of mortgage history.). I called several times asking to have my mortgage brought back to the agreed upon payment, and they gave me a sob story about their organization being hurt by having to pay my property tax once. After 18 months of paying my own taxes before they even got billed, I wrote a letter asking if I could have my taxes withdrawn from their loan. Again, they told me to jump in the lake! Yes this is the epitome of the abusive relationships banks have with clients that practically destroyed our country several years ago. HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN AFFORD A 60% INCREASE IN THEIR MORTGAGE???? No calls, no text, nothin. just taking half my payments to put towards this insurance I never even got a card or anything else for. I would NOT ever get a loan with these people unless you want to repeatedly deal with unprofessional service. Also, 2 years ago I had to close my account with them due to taking out 2-3 payments a month randomly without my consent.
