Huntington was a great resource for helping improve skills in all sections of the ACT. After taking their ACT Prep course I was able to increase my score from a 23 to a 30. Personally, I was able to really get a grasp on reading and science, two sections I had really struggled with previously. If you are looking to bump up your score a few points to help get into that dream school Huntington is the way to go. I will admit I was hesitant at first and really did not look forward to spending several hours a week during my summer at a learning center, but after finding teachers that I really enjoyed working with it was no longer something I dreaded. The people there are very kind and always make sure you are comfortable with the instructor and material before moving forward . Overall, the class flew by and I was glad we made the investment. Huntington Learning Center is an exceptional service. In late November of 2018, I began studying for the ACT through Huntington. The service was extremely professional. Each tutor is an expert in their field (English, Math, Reading, or Science) and I truly valued that part of Huntington. The learning environment was always quiet and calm, which was perfect for studying for the ACT. In addition, the customer service as Huntington was unparalleled. Tom (the owner) was always extremely friendly and available to talk about any issues I was having with the ACT. Besides the stellar service, the numbers speak for themselves. After just three months of consistent study for the ACT, I achieved my goal scores. The tutors provide the students with tips and tricks that Khan Academy and the normal ACT book don't provide. My 3 kids go to Huntington Learning Center in Arlington Heights, since COVID stared. It was best decision ever. Best money spend ever. Thanks to wonderful stuff with Director of Huntington we were able to help my kids not fall behind and even get them where they should be in their grade level. Education is #1 for us, when kids understand math and are able to read with understanding they will succeed. My middle one is quite and shy and she is afraid to say in class I don't understand, and thanks to this tutorial classes she feels more confident then ever because she understands now. Sometimes kids do need 1:1, they feel more comfortable this way. My other 2 are doing great in school but I know they will benefit even more, so why not give them even more knowledge. This was my fourth child preparing for ACT. My son, Luc, tutored at another agency with no results. ACT score with no tutoring was the same score as ACT with tutoring at another agency. Because there was no change in ACT score, I looked for new tutoring. I was referred to Huntington Learning Center in Arlington Heights, Il. My son worked with Huntington for 13 sessions(normally 17 sessions, we were tight on time) in two weeks. He then took the ACT. Raised his overall ACT 5 points. I believe Huntington teaches strategy. They are very familiar with the ACT and know what's on it. They pass on that knowledge and strategies to their students so that the students have the greatest chance of doing their optimal best. I went to Huntington Learning Center to improve my ACT score and they were able to help me increase it by 7 points. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to improve their ACT score or improve in certain subjects in school. Their methods of helping students improve is phenomenal with one on one tutoring. The tutors watched me take practice tests over and over and encouraged me to try different techniques for each section of the ACT. From there, the tutors were able to identify the best ways I should approach the test as well as identify my biggest weaknesses and most frequent mistakes regarding the ACT. Huntington Learning Center gave my sons the tools achieve their targeted ACT scores...one by 4 points the other by 6. My son tells me it taught him so many other strategies and skills he has applied all across the board as a student...and also gave my younger son the confidence he needed walking into to standardized tests. My daughters recently completed ACT preparation at Huntington in Arlington Heights and found the experience to be very positive and worthwhile. After receiving high initial scores on their ACT as Sophomores, they were able to increase the scores by 3 & 4 points on their first real test sitting, which was much more than we expected. This location was recommended to me by a friend for my daughter, a junior at GBN. We opted for the 30-session plan to prep for ACT. Tom and the tutoring team are exceptional.
