Three members of our group ordered Chicken Alfredo, and all said that it was very dry with so little sauce that it looked like no sauce at all. Two requested extra sauce from our server and one just didn't eat hers at all. It took quite some time for someone from the kitchen to bring the extra sauce, by which time the others had finished eating. They were all charged for the extra sauce, even though it had been missing from their entrées. The server hadn't checked back with us or offered refills. Two in our group ordered salads, and they were happy with them. I observed two employees sitting on a bench, having a conversation while it appeared that tables needed to be bussed and cleaned. We waited a long time for our server to bring our checks, and then longer for our payments to be taken. I also had a recent experience with a carry out order where some of the items I had ordered were missing when I picked up the food, even though I had been charged for them. I was picking up an order to take to work so I didn't have time to return and pick up the items missing from the order. Crafters has a great atmosphere but improvement is needed in both food and service.

I'd never had their tiramisu as I always get the pistachio pannacotta. However, they were not serving the pistachio pannacotta at the time of my visit. The steak pappardella pasta is a real delight. Broad flat egg noodles in a rich creamy sauce with mushrooms and topped with sliced medium steak. Bonus.....Tuesday is half priced wine! Upon entering, I saw a kiosk where you can place your order, but a woman emerged from the back to take our orders. Being that we weren't familiar with the menu, I told her that the kiosk might be easier. She insisted that it wasn't, and as I went on, I realized the same. The kiosk states that there is a $1.25 charge for the sauce on the side, but she explained that it comes with one sauce free of charge and additional sauces cost extra. We placed our order with her: A small Italian salad to share, the Fatty B calzone with the spicy marinara sauce and the Hot Mother Clucker calzone with the chipotle garlic ranch. We ordered them with the suggested sauces but also order the regular marinara and the garlic sauces on the side. We were given glasses for water (self-serve from the soda fountain) and also ordered a bottled beer and canned cider. By the time we were done ordering, a line had formed. The store was understaffed, which was explained to us later, so we had to exercise patience. We didn't receive our beverages until after the calzones were delivered. I wasn't trying to be rude, but I don't want to eat food that a stranger's hands have touched. I explained this to her. She tried to assure us that she washes her hands constantly throughout the day, but she'd just come over from the register without a handwashing break. Just let the toppings fall where they may!
