I had contacted three other law firms before with the same question (Di Renzo and Bomier, Remley and Sensenbrenner and Sterling Law Offices) in which I received zero response from. I sent an e-mail to Herrling Clark and had gotten almost an immediate response from Lois Staus who is the paralegal for Kelly S. Kelly and Paula Hamer answering my question. Even though I have not used this law firm before, it is clear they are there to help you and not just there for their own financial gain. My contact with the other firms with zero response shows if they have no financial gain from you, they won't help. I reached out and contacted the law firm and left a message for Jon Peterson to contact me back. Days went by and I got no phone call. I called again and left a message again with the lady who answered the phone. Still no phone call back. I called again and asked how long it took to get a reply from someone. After my fourth phone call, I managed to get the paralegal to talk to me. I explained I was growing frustrated that the attorney never returned my phone calls. A few hours later the attorney called me back and asked me to email him my documents explaining my case. he mentioned on the phone he was in the middle of a case and would get back with me in the following week. Two weeks passed, no reply to my email, no follow up phone call. I called the office one more time and got the secretary. I explained to her my frustration of waiting weeks for a simply reply via email or phone. I informed the lady on the phone that I wanted a reply from the attorney today or I assumed he is not interested in my case. She then tells me she will not let me be rude to her. ( what kind of business doesn't call a person or potential client back). After I hung up, a minute later the attorney calls me back. (all the sudden he was free to speak to me). When I answered this is what he said verbatim. " I am not interested in your case". and hung up on me!! I was happy this took place. It told me first hand how very unprofessional this law firm is. From the secretary, to the paralegal to the attorney. If this is how these "professionals" treat their potential clients, forget them! I would much rather give my money to a law firm that takes pride in helping people and offers a little more care about potential clients. This client is in the middle of a messy divorce post-judgement case and has a hearing next week. All because I, not a client nor case party, voiced my opinion of how they treated their client, they dropped him immediately. The client called the firm to inquire as to why he was dropped. Dan Hoff stated it was because Amy and her client don't "see eye to eye" (even though nothing has been discussed) and there has been a breakdown of communication. He also stated that Amy was too busy with a current trial to respond to her client. He further went on to state that the client was rude to his staff (all because the client tried to schedule an in-person meeting to discuss his case). These things were never mentioned to the client prior to my google review. This type of behavior is childish and unfair.
