I spoke to who I thought was the owner Juan Carlos and he seemed very squared away. He gave us a reasonable price and we accepted it and had the shutters installed. I was not home when the contractor arrived but I was told by my wife and father in law that he didn't speak English so he was not able to give instructions on how to lock the shutters securely in an event a severe storm would occur. Fast forward to 2022, I received a certified letter from a guy inquiring information on the company who pulled permits to install me shutters. He then called and informed that All Star Shutters were using his license without his knowledge to open permits. Now today Miami-Dade code enforcement slapped me with a violation stating that there was no final inspection to close the application. I called Juan Carlos who told me that he wasn't the owner and that company does not exist anymore. I would never trust a Facebook ad and I will ask for their license. My association confirmed that they approved the job but don't have the other information. So now I'm filing a complaint
