Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with this establishment. We went here mainly to play trivia but we always go to eat beforehand wherever we play. We had a group of six people and ordered a variety of foods. I can't honestly comment on everyone else's food. I ordered a hamburger and was very disappointed. It looked like something that came from the Walmart freezer section and it was very dry and tasteless. Also, we had some issues with our server. She was very sensitive to some of my companions, comments and questions. I think overall none of us will return. It's unfortunate as the trivia was good and the atmosphere was nice. Just the service and my food was not acceptable. We did notify the manager of this. She however, did not respond in a very Customer friendly way. Since moving to Vero we have trying a lot of different places to try and replace our old hangout in Miami. We stumbled across Hurricanes as we are new to town and wanted to see a movie and afterwards decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is nice and laid back and service is second to none. They serve decent sized portions and if you can't pick a draft beer out of the 20+ that they have then your just picky. I have since been visiting almost every other week and love seeing Pearl and Gretchen. They know the minute I walk in the door what I want and even have even started pour my beer. I like this place because it's a nice hang and there's plenty on the menu to keep everyone happy. One of the few places I can pop in myself and strike up a conversation with the staff. The food was fine. The service was fine. The server did say that I could get a craft smitcher but then was shocked when someone had voided it off and put the three beers individually which cost me about $10 more. Since she was new, she asked someone else to fix it, and I guess that meant just handing me back the same receipt. The last time we were there prior to this week was months ago, and we used to go every week. The reason we stopped going is because the server was horrible and basically stopped coming over to us. She also opened the door from the patio to the inside seating area which allowed someone who was smoking out on the patio, which I'm not sure was even allowed, to have their smoke blow into the restaurant which was vile. Also, they've recently done away with the napkin dispensers on the tables and give you a few when you come in if you're lucky. You're eating wings. I'll preface this review with the fact that I visited Hurricane without looking at any of the reviews first, so this is 100% non-biased as far as that goes. I arrived and sat outside, beautiful evening. I was by myself, and sat at an outside table in the corner of the patio. I sat there for about 7-8 minutes before a lady walked up to my table, dropped off some wrapped silverware, and walked away (no greeting/introduction). I sat there for another 5-7 minutes or so before a young man stopped by and asked if I was being taken care of. He took my full order since I was ready with everything at that point, and I frankly was appreciative of that at this point. He seemed to be very attentive to folks he was working with. The menu looks great here. Lots of options, nothing that breaks the bank. I'd say 90% of the options are items I would order. I wanted to love this place just based on that. I ordered the boneless chicken wings, side salad, and burger cooked medium. The wings came out in about 10-15 minutes along with the salad. The wings were tasty, and the salad looked/tasted fresh. Shortly after, I was done (5-10 minutes), the burger came out. I ordered the burger medium, but it came out on the far upper end of well. If you know the taste of a "well" burger when it approaches charred, then this is what that tasted like. Towards the end of eating I ordered another beer. I don't want to say that he forgot about me, as it looked like he was busy, but it took a good 15-20 minutes before I saw him again to ask for the check. However when I gave him my card he promptly returned, which was great. While I was there, I overheard the initial lady (who dropped-off the silverware) explaining to a couple why their food hadn't come out yet (that they were really busy). They had come in shortly after I did, and they were there after I left and I still didn't see their entrees in front of them. The place wasn't at capacity. Not even close. I'm not sure why the kitchen was so busy, perhaps a combination of take-out, lack of humans, and/or something else. I would easily add stars if the burger was cooked as ordered (and enjoyable), and I didn't need 90 minutes for dinner. Jury is still out if I would return, but I'm all about second chances so I probably will. read more

We got the MacDaddy Burger with fries and nachos. The burger was good and cooked to the temperature that was asked for. Server was good and paid attention to our drinks. We were not pleased with the nachos. We asked for guacamole and chicken with chili and jalapeños on the side. Instead of putting chips on the plate and putting the cheese on top of the chips (like most places do) they put the cheese on the bottom and laid the chips on top of the cheese. Most of her chips were soggy. The menu stated it comes with drizzled ancho Chile sauce. Whoever made it has a different meaning of drizzled than we do. It looked like the sauce was ladled on the chips, there was a lot of it. The menu says it come with sour cream but she had to ask for it because it wasn't there. read more

Holy crap. This place changed locations and lost everything I feel like. Everyone here this Saturday night has had poor service and long waits on food. Yet I still see some tables open. I feel like this was an episode of bar rescue and the dude never came out to say "SHUT IT DOWN". Two tables left because they also were stuck waiting 30 minutes for BASIC WINGS. When that's your niche it shouldn't take but 15-20 MAX when you're busy. The owner needs to figure this out because at this pace you're spiraling downwards to a shutdown. I'm not sure I'll come back after this. And we've been to the other location across the parking lot more than enough to know this isn't normal when they were there. The short version is: if you're spending a week in Vero on vacation - GO. There are lots of daily deals, so you may want to plan around those (for instance, kids eat free on certain days, so if you have them, that's a big savings). I posted a picture with the deals you can refer to, but confirm by phone to avoid disappointment. I've spent time in Buffalo, NY, so I know wings, and these ones can compete. All heat levels are as advertised (no "medium is hot" like Duffs in NY), so you shouldn't have any unpleasant surprises. There are too many flavors, but regular hot is always what I'm happiest with. Ranch dressing should not even be an option: go blue cheese or go home. If you are a wing hater (shame on you), there are other options, from cheesesteaks to salads. The other focus is beers (of course), and when Hurricanes first opened they were real trail blazers in featuring local beers. In 2015, the rest of the world has caught up with this trend, but Hurricanes still has one of the best selections in town, including Ft Lauderdale's "Funky Buddha" label. Vero's tap water is pretty gross, and since fountain drinks are made from it, there's added reason to go with a craft beer made with water from somewhere else. read more

We've been there four times in the last three years, and every time something happens. Tonight, four of us showed up at 7 :20 PM. The hostess yelled that we could "sit anywhere except that one table over there." We couldn't find an open table at first and then there was one all the way in the back behind the room divider. The spicy sauce was excellent and the marinara sauce was just so so. The buffalo potato chips had too much sauce, making the chips soggy.
