I wish this was my home urgent Care. The staff here is so kind and empathetic they go above and beyond. Our daughter fell on her first day here and needed stitches they got us in quickly the facility was very clean and the doctor was very professional and helpful and they helped ease our very worried minds. When we went in to get the stitches out I kid you not I was in and out within 10 minutes that would never happen in Los Angeles. And the staff was so nice they took time to play with the baby and love on her thank you all so much for taking great care of us. I hope we never have to be back but if we do I know we're in great hands in your facility! read more

When I visited the Instacare, the staff was really rude to me. The front agent was really sweet getting me checked in. But the nurse who took me back and the doctor that came in my room were very rude and dismissive. I felt like they thought I was making up what I was experiencing and they questioned if I even needed help. I left never wanting to see a doctor again. I was already nervous to go because I have a hard time asking for help when I need it. read more

I got really sick on a Wednesday during work. It felt like a migraine and strep throat though it was likely the flu. I spiked a fever late that night of 101 but it broke by late Thursday morning. I notified my cold symptoms started to subside by Friday but pain in my right ear was only getting worse. I was nervous that I would develop an ear infection and I know how painful and ugly those can get so I went into the InstaCare to get checked out. The staff at the front were very kind and professional and when I met with the practitioner she was also sweet and attentive. Until she looked in my ear and said that there was no infection. Idk how you'd see every kind of possible ear infection at a glance but alas I took her advice and bought the over the counter medication she recommended. Later that night I was up crying from the ear pain. I couldn't sleep. This continued through Saturday night as well only worsening. Sunday morning the pain was so bad I went back. This time I got a male practitioner. He was leaning back against the counter arms crossed so casually, not a care in the world as I told him I had been in a lot of pain and really needed this taken care of. And that my left ear was also starting to ache. He simply looked in my ear and just said it was fluid built up. Said I should get sudafed. My fiancé asked him how he could just take a glance in my ear and know if it was truly infected and his reply was this you could see if the ear drum was red... He said I should also gargle with salt water and try mucinex to loosen the mucus and hopefully help the fluid drain from my ear. I went and did as he asked. Sunday night was a living hell. Not only was the pain in my right ear, it also worsened in the my left and spread to my jaw, teeth, throat, tongue, and roof of my mouth. It was seriously so horrible. I was up for the 5th night in a row sobbing all night long. The next day I was able to talk to my doctor and he immediately prescribed me a Z pack. My fiancé's parents are also nurses and said I should've been given and antibiotic. So glad I got to pay my copay twice just to be ignored and treated like a drama queen. You don't HAVE to have a fever for it be an ear infection and some pain relievers may keep the fever away I believe so I don't get it. Very disappointing to be ignored like that. read more

The staff was excellent, quick check in and vitals were done very quickly. The provider or doctor was not very thorough. I complained about a throat infection, stating it was what I believed was from a port in my neck. All he wanted to do is run a cat scan and do blood workups. He did not look in my throat or do a swab for virus or culture. He just wanted to do a cat scan. What the heck, said he could not help me until I did these test. I am very disappointed!! Would you thing that a patient that complains about a possible throat infection would receive basic checks other than a cat scan? read more

Walked in for a minor issue. Signed up for a call-in to check my place in line. Phone never answered and the call-in software apparently was not working. Almost 3 hours and still haven't seen anyone and now the pharmacy will be closed so no prescription refill. One doctor-one nurse-one receptionist. I am on a family vacation and started getting a vest cold, the doctor denied me any medication and said they don't treat common colds! What a joke I am on the verge of pneumonia and now vacation/ 10 year anniversary with my wife and kids is shot. I will never come back here or Hurricane, Ut what a dump! read more

Being from out of state and visiting family in the area, we didn't know where to go to treat flu symptoms and a chronic cough. Intermountain was recommended. We checked in,saw the Doctor had blood tests and chest X-rays done with results and were on our way in two and a half hours!!! We were so impressed, this is how health care should be. Every health issue complaint was addressed and answered for. The medications prescribed gave me the best night sleep I have had in months (I'm in my mid 70's). The Doctor and staff were amazing and addressed everything in such a timely matter. Residents of Hurricane you are so fortunate to have this facility and its staff!! read more

Poor service when my son was very ill. My son was turned away from this facility as he had surgery 3 days prior under Workman's Comp. Because of his surgery for a broken wrist, he was told they would not help him. He was very ill with a sore throat and could not talk and felt short of breath. His illness could have been an allergic reaction or something needing immediate attention. He was told to go to the Workman's Comp office 30+ minutes away. I called the Workman's Comp office as he was headed to St George and they were very surprised and said there was nothing they could do for him. He ended up at the ER at Dixie Regional which was very expensive. I would not recommend Hurricane Instacare. read more

I went in on my Birthday May 12th for a broken ankle (obviously already in a bad mood). I was charged $115 before I was even able to see anyone. They took my X-rays but never showed them to me upon my visit. I was also told to see just an orthopedic doctor in 2 weeks (basically just passing the buck due to being under qualified). They uselessly asked me my preferred pharmacy, yet prescribed me nothing for the pain. I feel the entirety of this visit was a huge waste of time and money. Save yourself the headache and go to a real hospital to see a real doctor. I have now heard countless stories about people being misdiagnosed from this place. Avoid coming here for any major injuries!!! On a positive note the Receptionist was professional and kind. Also the person taking my X-rays was good at her job. However, I have since called to hopefully have my X-rays emailed to me (especially since I'm paying for them!) I was told they could only email me the raidiology report...If I want the X-ray images I have to show up there (mind you It's hard for me to get around currently) and wait for someone to burn me a CD of the X-ray images.... I'm sorry, are we stuck in the year 1999??? When was it ever easier to burn a CD than send an email????? I just want what I paid for. I am offended and in tremendous pain. Never. Go. Here. read more

I love that they have the call ahead feature for instacare. Instacare's are often busy, especially since they serve such a large area. I like that I can wait in the comfort of my own home until it's my turn. The doctors, nurses and staff have always been kind and wonderful. They always strive to do their best. read more

We are from Las Vegas. We camp at Sand Hollow and for some reason my daughter gets strep every time. We were here again today, right as they were opening the doors and lots of people. Everything was fast, had my daughter not been so nervous we may have been out sooner. Nurses were great, dr is always fantastic with great bedside manner. Wish we had it this great back home! NEGLIGENCE, CAR SALESMEN ARE MORE TRUSTWORTHY- Going to these people for help was a huge mistake. I had been struggling with pain in my chest and rib cage on and off for weeks, the pain was so bad I wasn't getting SLEEP, I couldn't EAT, and I couldn't do my JOB. I went into the clinic twice. Both times I waited for an hour or two. Both times I was with a doctor for a total of 5-7 minutes. Both times I was prescribed useless meds. The first doctor I had seen poked around, asked a few vague questions, and told me I likely had ulcers so he prescribed me something to keep the stomach acid down. So Prilosec basically. And the second doctor did the exact same thing except concluded I had pulled a muscle, so he prescribed me something to relax my muscles. I played sports year round for 18 years. I know what a pulled muscle feels like. And the fact he even prescribed me anything after coming to the conclusion of a pulled muscle was just offensive. I didn't go to the clinic for drugs. I wanted answers. I wanted help. I left the clinic in tears from how frustrated I was. I didn't even go pick up that prescription. The pain persisted and I continued to lose sleep to the point where I'd wake up at night unable to breathe from the pain. I spiked a high fever that weekend and couldn't work. I finally went to the ER that Sunday, scared and desperate for some help.... A couple thousand dollars and some X rays later I find out I have Pleurisy (water in the lining your lungs are in) caused by a deep infection in my right lung. This would explain the intense pain that had by then spread all over the right upper side of my body including my shoulder, and also the fever. They pushed antibiotics into my IV line and prescribed me more to take by mouth. So here I am writing my review after getting all my medical bills in the mail. To a 22 year old trying to make a life for myself, it's a devastating amount of money being held over my head. Heaven forbid I ever get sick again because I'd rather suffer than be stolen from again by these crooks. I can't afford it. Especially not now. I attended the clinic ten days ago having hurt my back whilst hiking. Dr Jed Gardiner was extremely reassuring and allayed my many fears. He prescribed muscle relaxants which were extremely effective. Everyone I encountered from the receptionist to the medical staff were very professional and caring. I had to get urgent care after doing a hike at Zion. As this was the only place open late that wasn't the ER, I was wasn't left with many options. Boy am I glad they were open. There was no wait and everyone, from the receptionist to the doctor, was so nice and helpful. The doctor got me all fixed up and I was on my way within 30-45 minutes. read more

I didn't go to instacare but the department I wanted to review isn't on yelp. I went to the physical therapy department 3 times in early 2016 because I had neck pain that would not go away. I do have insurance but for whatever reason they don't pay until it's a certain threshold of care so I had to pay out of pocket to the tune of $700. I went on a payment plan because they can wait to get their money. A complete rip off for what was done. Old machinery , most of the time I was doing things myself while the employees sat at the desk or in a corner talking. Thankfully I only went 3 times. They still wanted me to come in again and again. My bill could have been thousands. I get they're a business but when they want you to keep coming after you say you're feeling fine it makes them seem like scumbags. I received calls for about a month after my last appointment asking to come in again. No way. Not for $250 an appointment. read more

We were on vacation from CA and my kids came down with fevers, sore throats, and ear pain. We came to the Hurricane Valley InstaCare and had great service. Though it took a little while to register all 3 kids (even more so since we were out of state), we were treated kindly and the process was smooth. Once we were checked in, we only waited about 10 minutes before being taken back to see the doctor. The nurse who first took care of us was sweet and very patient. Dr. Dan was amazing. His bedside manner was one of the best I've seen (and we've seen a lot of doctors with 4 kids!). He was patient, kind, told jokes to the kiddos to help them relax and feel comfortable. Our kids had strep throat and ear infections. We're glad we didn't wait another week until we got home. This was a great experience considering we were in urgent care on our vacation.
