Oh, wow, this was such a great experience for us! It was a Saturday, we traveled by car from Prague to Vienna, arriving at our hotel at 6pm and we were STARVING. The hotel concierge recommended this restaurant (and others) and they were all booked for the night, so we decided to just walk the streets and find something although since we had limited time in Vienna I didn't want to waste a meal on something that wasn't superior!! Our first stop was Huth Ristorante Da Moritz. They said, as I knew, that they were booked for the night. I shared our story, and that I was STARVING, and the maitre de kindly said that we could have a table for 75 minutes. That was enough for us!! We were so grateful, and had an absolutely delicious meal in a lovely atmosphere with friendly kind servers. What a wonderful way to start our three days in this beautiful, historic city. My husband had pasta with bolognese sauce which he was very happy with, and I had the house special salad with grilled chicken, along with a generous service of garlic focaccia bread. My only partly negative comment is that the bread was oozing with butter/oil/garlic. I am sure many people like it that way but it was a bit much for me, although I ate a few pieces! We had a wonderful evening at Huth Ristorante Da Moritz. The beef tartare was fresh and well-seasoned--a great start to the meal. The ribeye steak was juicy and perfectly cooked, but the real standout was the truffle pasta--rich, aromatic, and truly unforgettable. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel special without being too formal. We made a reservation in advance but if you go early there should be plenty of seats available. If you're in Vienna and craving high-quality Italian cuisine with excellent service, this place is a must. We'll definitely be back! read more

I visit Vienna several times a year for work, though never realized this restaurant was here. It's situated on a side street but close to the major u staions. I came here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the Ragu, which was extremely tasty. The pasta tasted homemade as claimed on the website, though it was cooked a little too al dente for my personal taste. The ragu was extremely good. Just the right amount of tomato/ meat ratio. Lots of meat ( but not chunky), which clinged to the spaghetti perfectly. Food came extremely fast- which at first made me worried ( that it wasn't fresh) but the ragu was as good if not better then my own ( which I make from a relatives recipe whom is from Sicily). We just had dinner at this ristorante, and the food was excellent!!! The pasta was tasty, my gnocchi creamy asparagus prosciutto dish was perfection. For antipasti, we had the sampler dish and the calamari which was very flavorful with the perfect sauce on the side. Kushtrim was our server and he was delightful! His English was very good and he was patient with us, knowledgeable about the food, friendly and really got us to try nearly everything on the menu! Nice job, Kushtrim. We appreciated all of our servers tonight. You will enjoy the service, the ambience, and the outdoor dining on a cool Austrian evening. We found this restaurant based on reviews and they were not lying. Probably the best pizza I have had in Europe so far! ( we haven't made it to Italy yet. Nice Italian restaurant on a strip of fine places to dine. Enjoyed the calamari and Burrata for our appetizers. Also was served a plate of garlic bread; generous portions I must add. With that being said we could not decide on our entrees. We chose the linguine with prawns in tomato white wine sauce with spinach. We decided to share because we were somewhat full from the apps. They split the dish nicely and was just right. The dish was delicious!! I must add that we left room for dessert. Take a look at the pics to see the selection. Our group had a great experience overall. Great service, appetizers were excellent, large side salads, and delicious main dishes. Sitting on the side of street in a comfortable cool evening is always welcomed in Vienna. I had the Salmon dish and it was cooked well with plenty of moisture and taste. read more

Meh. I've experienced better just about sums this place up. Average food, average beer, average service. If it wasn't for the company tonight or the pretty cool decor it would have gotten only the one star. I was really excited when we went in, large heavy wooden tables and the name grill maybe gave me the wrong impression. The menu was very limited and hugely overpriced. I opted for the burger ambitiously priced at 13.50€. Well this is gonna be a good burger I thought, but how wrong I was. When it was presented to me I had a little double take. "Thats a very small burger", I thought, "but hey its not all about the size is it?" Well if its not the size of the burger that counts then it has to be the taste and sadly this was also lacking. The size of the burger put me in mind of the 1€ hamburgers at McDonalds and unfortunately the taste comes nowhere near McDonalds either. (On my scale McDonalds is about the bottom of the bunch burger wise.) So for 12.50€ more I had a burger that wasn't even good enough to be served in Micky D's. (But then it did come with fries, so every cloud and all that...) Overall it wasn't the worst experience I've had in a restaurant in Vienna but it comes fairly close. What a pity that the menu doesn't do the decor proud. read more

Viennese-German food is about the schnitzel and sausages; however, this place is the gourmet/creative version of that. Everything was high quality and very tasty. The beers were incredible and now have to admit that the Germans kill us here. Fun place despite it being somewhat higher priced. read more

Order the burrata which was delicious and a good size to split between two. We both ordered pasta. I had the risotto and my husband had the linguini. Both were ok. Not the first time we had pasta since coming to Europe and the al dente is not my thing. Like mine cooked a little more. If you want to have a typical Austrian dinner in the center of Vienna at a moderate price we can really recommend this place. Especially we enjoyed their great beer and the delicious meals. We had jiddische hendlleber (a kind of liver pâté that you should definitly try), cordon bleu (a type of schnitzel filled with ham and cheese) and an ofenfleck (a delicious pastry available with different fillings).
