Makes sense there are a decent amount of positive reviews. It is a bit of a drive, but beautiful. Lots of winding roads to get there along CDA lake. I would say it is the perfect place to have a picnic, some ice cream. Beautiful views in the courtyard area behind the store to sit. Local relishes, salsa, chocolate for sale. Hidden gem on route 97 to Harrison along the Lake Coeur d'Alene scenic byway. They only have about 10-12 sandwiches (I think?) but they're top notch. Wife and I ordered 4 to hold us over for a few days - Philly Cheesesteak - French Dip - Ham & Swiss - Turkey Club (Note: the names are my own, they may have had signature names on their menu). Excellent service, helpful staff - asked for and got great recommendations. Sandwiches were delicious - bread grilled on a panini press - generous portions - fresh ingredients The general store also has a number of essentials like snacks, drinks (Mexican Coke in a bottle), s'mores kits, ice, gasoline, etc. Nice seating area on the porch and picnic benches nearby, if you want to eat your sandwiches right away. Old school vibe is the perfect rest stop along the more remote East side of the lake. read more

Super friendly workers. All 3 we talked to were friendly and helpful. The one negative review for this place sounded like somebody thinks they're entitled just because he thought being a member of G Ranch makes him ultra soecial. Guess what? doesn't. There's a small store trying to meet everybody's needs as best they can. They sell ice cream, soda, candy, beer, bread, a few toiletries and meds. They also sell gas and a small lunch menu. Oh, this is an adorable one. To call this simply a general store is to far undersell it. This is a really delightful general store; a surprise find on the shores of the lake, a gas station, a pizzeria, an ice cream parlor, and a quick resupply spot. We were staying at a campground nearby and driving around the lake for the heck of it when we happened upon this spot. It's made to look all old and general store-y, but it's really quite nice. We loved the patio out front and the grassy area out back. We decided to make our way down the grassy area in back just to see the views and relax for a bit. We also stepped inside and I wished I was hungry because it really is quite lovely, and the pizza/ice cream/food menu looked great, and I half wanted to drive back for breakfast for a breakfast burrito. There are jars of pickled things and lots of fun treats to be had, and overall this is really the perfect kind of roadside surprise (and gas station, though the gas prices are quite high) that you want to find when you're on vacation and just driving around a lake. Grab some food and sit out on the grass or the patio and then grab some treats or an ice cream to go. read more

They double charged me for a tank of boat gas and refuse to refund me. I realize their computer system at the boat dock seldom works but their refusal to refund me an obvious overcharge is offensive. read more

We thought it would be fun to take the scenic road around the lake without realizing what a long route that was! As it turned out, it gave us the perfect opportunity to stop here for a quick snack and bathroom break (really clean bathrooms!). The store was cute and had lots of fun little gift items, some groceries and the ability to make sandwiches and other items for you, as well as a gas pump out front. We noticed that they had a great picnic area in back with views if you had the time to sit down and take it all in. read more

I am a Gozzer member and I would have given ZERO stars if it was possible. I have yet to leave a bad review in my Yelp history(many reviews), but this experience with the staff made me question my membership all together. I have never been treated as such a low class citizen as Jennifer has apparently trained her staff to treat their guests(especially paying member). I arrived at 3:45 pm with my PREGNANT SISTER, and they refused to serve us ice cream. They said the ice cream bar closes at 4. We'll first of all it wasn't 4, second of all she was the rudest person I have ever met. She just kept saying I'm sorry and asking us to leave AND SAYING THAYS JUST THE WAY IT IS...EVEN THOUGH IT DOESNT CLOSE FOR HOURS LONGER. I hope the entire staff gets turned over by next summer. This little restaurant/general store is one of the few places to grab food on the Peninsula. They serve pizza. It's kind of a fun ambience, but a little odd at the same time. There's one or two tables in the middle of the general store, that's where you sit to eat your pizza. Pizza was good. read more

We've been staying at Arrow Point for the past two weeks, and have stopped into Hutton's several times for huckleberry ice cream. Each time we've been greeted wit's big smiles and given wonderful service. This is a fantastic spot to stop in for an ice cream treat! At Hutton's this weekend ---- and we are seriously disappointed. Has Gozzer dropped the relationship because this Hutton's bear no resemblance to the Hutton's of prior years. Very little inventory, entire coolers are empty, garbage sitting around the store and on the back porch. So disappointed as we used to bring out visitors to this turn of the century general store. By the way hours are seriously limited - closed by 5:00pm. Support staff has none of the old energy and charm of previous teams. Last tip - watch the pull dates if you purchase any food - found much of what we wanted expired. read more

Stopped in at a recommendation of our world mark manager. The atmosphere was very awesome. Old, classic decor, warm environment on a chilly day. We ordered a meat lovers pizza and a spicy Italian sandwich. It was made right away (as we were off season and no one was around). It tasted great. We drank coke products out of original bottles. My boys got a kick out of opening them by taking the bottle caps off. Would recommend this to anyone who wants good food in a fun atmosphere read more

This is a cute idea for a restaurant and a gas station. The food smells great although I never tried it. Multiple people were coming in to order the pizza and sandwiches. I had come to pick up a few groceries and found the cupboard be bare. They did have milk and multiple choices for six packs. They had about 6 different varieties of wine and one or two each small pick up items. Overall I left without what I came for. read more

We visited Hutton's every day on our vacation last year in Idaho. Sometime we had coffee, breakfast, or pizza, but the one constant was Ice Cream (Every day). The staff was great, the select of candy that brings back nostalgic memories, and the beautiful view out back were added bonuses. My daughter enjoyed it so much, she wrote a short story about it in school. It is a lovely drive around the lake to get there, a bit long, but totally worth it. We will be back! read more

talk about a hidden treasure! We see a gas station and pull over. Front spots were full so we drove around back and we see this BEAUTIFUL view of the lake, in a small forest clearing. We are already happy with the view. I tell the kids we will just stop for a couple sodas. The front outside is decorated with these little outhouse chairs lol we walk in expecting your typical gas station, and we see to our left a full grill/restaurant and ahead of us a mini ice cream parlour! the place is small but ADORABLE, it has comfy chairs inside for sitting or rocking chairs out front, we of course chose to order ice cream and it was AMAZING, hand scoops, fresh waffle cones, I had the delicious huckleberry. I was in heaven and so were my kids. we decided to eat out on one of the picnic tables looking over the lake, the gals were so friendly and I saw them even bring the food out to some customers. Definitely a great spot to stop and relax and chat and enjoy your ice cream or old fashioned sodas! read more
