I wanted to try a new Korean restaurant in my area. My friend and I were suppose to go to a 24/7 Korean BBQ but, it was closed (whut?!). We walked around Metrowalk and found this place. It was empty at the time; we were dubious. Then, a group of Koreans entered and greeted the owner. So, we decided to give it a shot!
The menu selection was pretty extensive! More than what I'm used to seeing in the Korean restaurants I frequent. This place served barbecue, stews, soups, and rice meals. We ordered the following: Samgyupsal, Woosamgyup, Kimchi Jigae and their Cold Noodles. Before the server left, she prepared the stone grill. It's this huge stone slab and she tilted it at one end so that "the fat would drop down." Healthy eating!
When the food arrived, we thought we were going to cook our meat. To our surprise, our server stayed and cooked everything for us! Sweet! Since the slab was big enough to grill all our meat, she placed the pork and beef at different corners then the Kimchi and banchan on the end to absorb the fat drippings! YUM! The Kimchi Jigae was also place in the stone grill to keep it hot. Now, for the taste! Everything was DELICIOUS! The barbecue pork was cooked to crisp. The beef was very flavorful. The jigae had enough heat to it. I loved everything except for...the cold noodles. Their noodles were super tasteless :( Even after putting the mustard and vinegar, it was still not working. At least I just ordered the smallest bowl.
Overall, it was a very good meal and I would definitely eat here again! Though, next time, I will being more friends to help finish the food. :) read more
