Kind of a mixed review. No surprises, everything looked fine, but just would have preferred more…read moreattentive service and better value. Pro: + Lisa agreed to meet up with us at the venue to review the space and plan out the execution which was very helpful. Not sure if this is standard but I consider this a pro. She seemed very friendly when we met her. + Lisa was able to bring her own ladder with short notice for setting up. + Lisa did exactly what we asked for at the time of hiring her, there were no surprises. Cons: - Value: We paid $1,300 to have 5 lines of string lights put up, a white background, and our own Chinese lanterns and garland strung up and torn down. We were told that assembling the lanterns would take too much time for her so we agreed to assemble and attach strings and hooks ourselves. It felt like we brought a lot of our own stuff and were doing whatever we needed to do to make the job easier for her. We just didn't get the service I would have expected for the cost. I really needed a vendor that would do things to make it easier for US. Also, when I called her to initially learn about her services, she said she could not do the work unless she had a full hour to set up before the caterer came. The room is 73 feet long and I thought that they could work around each other but she insisted that it would not work for her which put additional financial burden on us to extend time at the venue. - Communication: Lisa was very short in her emails which made me very uneasy about having selected to work with her. It came across as if she was bothered or too busy. Obviously her demeanor did not impact the final product but she didn't provide the client experience I would have benefited from as a nervous bride. Another instance of this was when we asked for a white fabric background to use as or backdrop for the ceremony. The concept is self explanatory but I was a nervous after only having a high level conversation about it and leaving the execution up to her. Wasn't sure what we were going to get draping style wise. I emailed her to make sure it at least would not be tied back and I didn't get a response. At that point My sentiment was that I would just accept whatever she was going to bring us, I couldn't spend my time following up on every detail with each vendor. Thankfully it just showed up at the event like I had asked. Nothing necessarily went WRONG, I can't say I wouldn't recommend her, but I would want to give someone a heads up about some things. All of these things can be improved upon and some brides may not ever have the same experience or may have felt differently if they had the same experience.

She completely transformed our space into three separate spaces, creating a different vibe for each area. A cocktail area with pipe and drape, ceiling lights. A dinner reception area with beautiful sheer pipe and draping tied back uplit with gold tie backs that were fabulous. Ceiling lights were in the reception area too, then once you opened/pulled back the drapes in the reception, you walked into a club/dance area where our guests could dance the night away. I have been to other events in the space that she decorated, and have never seen it look so amazing. I found her very easy to communicate with, either by email or by text. Very prompt in responding to my messages. She worked well with coordinating with the venue for installation, so that I didn't have to worry about a thing.

The facility did a good job at getting our building ready. There is a lot of construction at the fairgrounds right now and I feel they did a great job communicating what would be open and where we could park both cars/rvs competing and cars that were spectating. They weren't sure if the sheep building would be ready for parking... but it was, which was a huge bonus as the first day it rained all day long; so, parking directly next to Bricker was very advantageous as not only is it easier to get the dogs in but we have a lot of gear to get into Bricker to set up the dogs. The building had a food court with Schmidts! It also had a coffee shop in it. Was very happy to have food options of this quality. That was a nice surprise. It also two sets of bathrooms that were kept up really nicely. No problems there. This is a great place to host a large venue and it was a really nice dog show!

We went to checkout the 2022 Columbus Wedding Show and the event was held in Kasich Hall. Parking for this event was $5.00. You can find everything at the Columbus Wedding Show. There were plenty of vendors for event locations, attire, stationary, DJ's, Photo booths, and you can even get a realtor. I appreciated the vendors and attendees who were masked but a lot were not and personally I was uncomfortable with that. All and all, It was a good event and it was fun to see everything.

Here's what happened to us: -We decided to book this place and contacted Jason, the coordinator, to schedule a tour. -Jason reached back out and said that they were moving the entire operations from one location to another and asked if we'd be ok with doing our wedding at the new location by offering us a slight discount. -Even though we were uncomfortable with the sight unseen new location, we were willing to consider it if we could see the original site to get an idea of what it would look like. So we paid the deposit and reached out to schedule a tour of the original site. -After long delays and no responses, Jason got back to us and said that the new site was no longer available, and the original location was back as an option. Hearing that, we thought it was weird but actually would work well and pushed to do a site visit. -Jason finally agreed to do a tour of the property, and our wedding planner accompanied our mom to visit the site. Aside from the site not looking anything like the pictures, after 5 minutes of being on the property, a man walked out of the house on the property and told our wedding planner and our mom that this was private property and they were trespassing. He threatened to call the cops if they did not leave within 5 minutes. -Startled by this, they quickly walked off the property and asked Jason for an explanation. He did not apologize and offered a poor excuse that the man was a tenant that was being evicted off the property. -After so many red flags, we decided to walk away from this location and asked for our deposit back. Jason responded that the deposit would be processed the next day. It was not. We reached out again and this time Jason said it would take 5-10 business days to process. It was not. -Finally, I filed a fraud claim with my credit card and got our money back.

The included facts of this review, supported by documents and exhibits presented in the hearing, which BTF holds to be "defamatory", were ruled on by a judge and decided in our favor. I still stand completely behind my review and will not edit for the benefit of the vendor as provided information is accurate. In court, owner claimed he "accidentally invoiced" a date in January meant for February. Again, this is false and was meant to mislead the court that the refund only took a few weeks when in-fact it took over 7; and was finally rectified by our bank issuing a dispute credit that was not even filed for over three weeks after charge appeared during which time the vendor made no attempt to remedy. A refund was not even "attempted" by the vendor until one month later; the restitution was eventually handled separately with the merchant bank/Square and Chase (credit card provider). The charge was placed on 12/27 not during January as vendor continues to claim. When Square issues an invoice, as was claimed, it sends an actual invoice to the client to pay within a certain time frame. It does not immediately charge from an invoice unless a charge is purposely issued to the card. Regardless, no charge was ever approved for any month be it December, January, or February. The vendor's claim that he assumed bc we were in discussion to potentially agree to move to the mandated new venue pending a site tour, he found it reasonable to charge is abhorrent. Additionally, these facts are minimally effectual to the bottom line of the review: vendor mandated a move to a completely different venue- a new location which was site unseen, failed to show new site, then dictated a move back to the original venue after calling the property owners "common criminals" and having no resolution to "ongoing litigation" at original address. He then refused a refund on an agreement that had never been signed by myself or fiancé due to his failure to detail out terms on which we requested clarity. The illegal credit card charge was simply another issue to boot; in addition to the inconvenience and stress of finding a new wedding venue 5 months before our wedding date.

We got there a little after 1:00 pm and they were super busy. The inside was small but there were plenty of seating outside. We didn't mind going out there despite the 30 degree weather. The view of the farm and vineyard was gorgeous to look at even with the snow. Before we went in, we greeted the sheep's in the front entrance. You can't miss the small barn. We stood in line and while we were waiting, we filled out the sheets and picked our 4 tastings. They range from dry, semi sweet and sweet. They also serve slushies and mulled wine. We ordered: Flight of 4 $10.00: -Dry Red- 2022 Free Run Norton -Dry Red- 2023 Marquette -2 Dry White-2023 Seyval Blanc -Dry Red-2022 Norton -Dry Red-Oaked Norton -Dry Red-2023 Alexander -Semi Dry Rose- 2023 Grower's Blush Appetizer: -Classic Charcuterie for two For food, they do have paninis and charcuterie trays. If you order, they give you a buzzer. When it goes off, you pick up your meal outside/food truck. Our favorites were the Alexander red and Seyval Blanc. So good that were purchased bottles to take home and had two glasses of Alexander after we finished our flight. I talked to the owners and they are very friendly and take pride in their wines & their farm. I highly recommend you pay them a visit. We had such a great experience and will definitely come back when in the hocking hills area. Make sure to check their hours because they are only open certain times and days of the week.

It looked very scenic and laid back too so we had to check it out. Glad we did because we really enjoyed it. Excellent wine, very relaxed atmosphere, and tremendous service. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after some hiking. We just wanted a couple wine flights and maybe a charcuterie board since we saw they offer those. It was pretty busy already and we got there right after they opened for the day. Still, it wasn't super cold out, and we found comfortable seating on a porch outside. We started with two flights and a classic charcuterie board. Here are the wines we tried: -Dry Red- 2022 Free Run Norton -Dry Red- 2023 Marquette -Dry White-2023 Seyval Blanc -Dry Red-2022 Norton -Dry Red-Oaked Norton -Dry Red-2023 Alexander -Semi Dry Rose- 2023 Grower's Blush We enjoyed pretty much all the wines, especially the Alexander and the Seyval Blanc. Note that when ordering food, you order at the bar, then they hand you a pager, and you get your food at a food truck nearby when your pager goes off. Our charcuterie board was done pretty quickly and everything was tasty. So much so that we took our time to savor it along with a couple more glasses of wine. They do offer s nice range of wines too, from dry to sweet to all points in between. They also do seasonal wines like mulled wines in winter and wine slushies. Like a certain wine? You can buy a bottle and they offer 10% off if you buy six or more bottles. This is a great little winery and lots to offer. I can tell they're a big hit with locals and travelers alike with how busy they got quickly after opening up. Say hi to the sheep when you get there too!

We arrived at Hocking Hills Saturday afternoon, hiked and hung out at the lodge. We then went to our cabin, arriving around 7:00 pm tired and ready for a campfire. But...the driveway was too steep for my SUV to climb. We attempted 4 times and gave up, there was no way my car was going to make it up the hill. We couldn't even see the cabin it was up a huge hill and around a bend. The reservation warned of a steep incline so I called the office when I made the reservation and was told that its only a problem in inclement weather - that was not true! I have a 2024 SUV, I do not have an old car that would be questionable. We couldn't get cell service to call the office so we left and drove to the nearest hotel thinking we would find somewhere else to stay. I reached a lady at Cabins by the Caves and was told we should have been able to get up the hill - her car gets up the hill with no problem and so does the cleaning ladies. Well - my car couldn't and I wasn't going to burn up the engine trying. She eventually gave me my money back and told us "never call again". We tried 4 hotels in the area, all were booked. We had no choice but to drive all the way back home. Needless to say our weekend was a bust. We lost money on our zipline tour and we lost our weekend. DO NOT RENT THIS CABIN WITHOUT A 4 WHEEL DRIVE!!
