The barn itself is always immaculate, I have a really hard time even reading the other reviews because I've been here for almost 2 years and it has honestly been the nicest barn I've ever been in and I used to attend one of the most well-known equestrian colleges in New York State and the level of cleanliness and care that Debbie and Greg work towards for their own place equals that. They treat me and my horse incredibly well. He is a mini and they accommodated him greatly when we first arrived by adding to their fencing and building him a door that he can see out of, and regularly ask if I am happy with his weight as they are knowledgeable enough to know that these guys can have weight issues pretty easily. They are quick to answer any questions and always make sure to greet with a smile. I always feel welcome here. I feel like they truly care about my horse and I deeply appreciate that. The stalls always have fresh shavings, clean buckets, and are cleaned regularly. The barn aisle is always clean, the wash stall is always ready to be used, with a well lit overhead light, water, and vacuum ready, and the tack room is always welcoming and tidy. The stalls are 12x12 so they are actually nice for larger horses and pretty graciously sized for ponies, and is practically a condo for my mini. It is quiet and enjoyable for me because a lot of places don't know how to handle a mini, let alone a mini that drives -- so I also have to mention that it is incredibly easy to store my cart there and they also have very handy lockers to put other equipment in. I really can't say enough about this place as it is really a place I wish I could have as my own and I've never had to worry about my horse, I always know he's in good hands.

From the moment we arrived, not a single employee greeted us or provided any direction. In fact, another parent who happened to be there with her daughter was the only person who offered any assistance. I initially thought she worked there because she was the only person helping us. Thank goodness she was there, because without her, things would have gone even worse. The party was originally booked to be held outdoors, weather permitting. Since rain was in the forecast, I proactively contacted the owner beforehand to confirm there was a backup plan. On the day of the party, however, the weather turned out to be beautiful--sunny with some wind, but overall a gorgeous day. When we arrived, we were directed into a barn that was in very rough condition. The owners knew we were expecting approximately 50 guests, yet there was no way that many people could have comfortably fit in the space provided. Since no staff member was communicating with us, I called the owner myself and asked if we could move the party outdoors. She explained that the tent couldn't be set up due to high winds, which I completely understood. She then told us a staff member would walk us to the outdoor area so we could see the alternative setup. This was about 10 minutes before guests were scheduled to arrive. When we got outside, it was obvious the space had not been prepared. There were bicycles and miscellaneous items scattered around, no garbage cans, and three employees were hurriedly wiping down tables while guests were already arriving. It felt as though no one had planned for us to use the space at all, despite that being where we had originally booked the party. To make matters worse, one of the owners casually told us, "If you need anything, I'll be in the woods through that path," and disappeared. No one explained the schedule, the activities, or what to expect. There was supposed to be a tour included, and I had to track someone down to ask about it. We later learned that the owners didn't even inform staff about our party until midnight the night before. The employee assigned to lead the tour appeared understandably frustrated because she had only been told about it roughly 20 minutes before she was expected to conduct it. Thankfully, the kids still had fun, but as the host, I was embarrassed in front of my family and friends. The entire event felt disorganized, unprepared, and poorly managed. The property itself was also concerning. The potholes in the driveway were so severe that my brother's car nearly bottomed out. The grounds were overgrown with weeds, and there was junk scattered throughout the property. Given the cost of hosting events and riding lessons there, it raises the question of where that money is being invested, because it certainly does not appear to be going toward property maintenance or guest experience. To top it all off, after providing virtually no support throughout the event, the owner wanted another parent to take photos of the party for advertising purposes. That request felt incredibly inappropriate given the experience we had. Near the end of the party, one of the owners finally approached us and asked if we needed anything. By that point, we were already packed up and leaving. I booked this party nearly a month in advance and expected a professional, organized experience. Instead, I received the complete opposite. If you are considering booking a birthday party or event here, I would strongly encourage you to reconsider. The children may enjoy the animals and activities, but the lack of preparation, communication, customer service, and overall upkeep made this one of the most disappointing event experiences I've ever had. I cannot recommend Autumn's Gate, and I would not spend my money there again.

She created a family atmosphere that made us feel welcome from our first lesson. She taught us from the ground up, gaining confidence and respect from the horses. Unfortunately almost weekly, the instructors canceled or rescheduled our agreed upon time. They changed a private lesson to group lesson without discussion or price adjustment. They increased the price of a private lesson on us with in weeks of starting. Multiple times, we showed up for lessons and discovered the instructor absent. The lack of care and responsibility the instructors demonstrated towards my daughter and the heartbreak they caused ultimately led us to leaving the center.

We went out on a gray day, and we knew the rain was coming, but we were prepared. We dressed appropriately, and the captain and first mate explained that we would need to turn back if we saw lightning, for safety. That was totally OK, and we all understood. The crew was friendly and incredibly professional. People tend to forget that boats are serious vessels, and you can easily drown, and need to know the safety procedures. They got that out of the way quickly, but we were fully informed of all the safety procedures and protocols (including the lightning warning). We spent an hour heading out to the lake, had a bluetooth hookup so one of us could DJ while we floated away. The center part has 2 deep coolers where you can load up ice, drinks, etc. You can bring whatever snacks and drinks you want! We had a wonderful time chatting, pedaling, drinking and noshing. We were caught in the rain but thanks to the roof we didn't notice! We all stayed totally dry while on the boat (we did get a little soaked running form the boat to our cars, but that's to be expected!). There are port a potty's at the launch site so you can feel at ease that there is a bathroom. There is a large sign to tell you where to go when you arrive at the parking lot. There is a sunshade and picnic tables while you wait. You have to park in the apartment complex lot, and you just head towards the water- it's not hard to find, but use your GPS if you are unsure. It was a really nice adventure, a great team building event, a unique experience, and definitely something to try this summer!

Free, go at your own pace sort of event. Free bus shuttle service between gardens designated stops was great. This was especially good when your feet were getting tired from all the walking and the sweat was dripping off your forehead! I think we reach 90° or near it today. We have a beautiful city. Lots of history, lots of cool people. Lots of tolerance and kindness. I certainly know we are a hidden jewel. Do you want to share that with everybody or keep it our little secret?!

Did you know this is the largest Garden Walk in America? What it is is a tour of over 350 spectacular gardens in the city of Buffalo. This walk is always held the last weekend in July. From the Historical Society (Japanese Gardens) all the way downtown you can see a huge variety of types of gardens. Its a long walk if you plan to see them all, which we did not. But you can easily pick an area and, using the free map, see the gardens that are open for viewing in a part of town on Sat, and come back Sun to another part of the Walk. Then next year you can do different areas. The Garden Walk is part of the Larger "Buffalo National Garden Festival", which runs from June 21-Aug 4, and is in both Erie and Niagara Counties. There are a ton of different events throughout the summer. If you missed this walk, there are still a few other events, for the next few weeks (I listed them below).
