This was a one night weekend stay in October.
Location: The hotel is in a great area in the well known Las Condes area of Santiago. It's close to shopping and restaurants - all within walking distance.
Atmosphere: Swanky. The hotel is new and the lobby and common spaces are well appointed with lots of seating. There is a welcome tea and water station in the lobby where you can make your own teabag, filling it with the flavors you prefer. We had king room 1315 which was well appointed with slippers, robes, coffee, water and all the expected toiletries. The shower has a rain head fixture which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, there is no bidet. It would be nice for Hyatt hotels to add a bidet feature to the bathroom. Even if you cannot install the full fledged fancy seat bidet, it would be great to have the small handheld feature for cleansing.
Food: we only had breakfast at the hotel. It was a buffet and there was lots of hot and cold variety. The bacon was unfortunate, limp and not crispy at all, but everything else was tasty. Globalist members receive free breakfast, everyone else will pay $15.
Service: Staff in the lobby and restaurant were friendly and helpful. The GM also left a welcome/anniversary treat in the room for us, which was lovely. The front desk staff were a bit of a question mark for me. Upon check-in, I felt hassled over the number of guests in the room. I reserved a king bed and noted that it was a special occasion. The check-in agent made a point of mentioning that my reservation only indicated one person and asked how many would be in the room. My spouse was standing at the check-in desk with me and I told the agent there would be two guests. She made a point of saying again that the reservation only indicated one person. I'm not sure what the big deal was. That interaction combined with the fact that she also incorrectly changed my one night reservation to a two night reservation, which I did not find out until the next day when I was checking out, made me a bit hesitant to want to stay at this hotel again.
Overall though, the hotel is nice and in a great location so it's worth a try. read more
