Hotel Review: Hyatt Place - Allentown, PA I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place in Allentown, PA during a work trip and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. This was my first time at this property, and it came highly recommended by a coworker who had previously stayed here--and it did not disappoint. The check-in process was seamless and efficient. After flying into Philadelphia and making a stop for lunch in downtown Philly, we arrived at the hotel around 3:00 PM and were promptly given our room keys with no issues. The front desk associate was extremely welcoming and informative. She clearly explained the breakfast area, hours of operation, elevator access, and Wi-Fi instructions. I booked a King room with a separate couch area, which was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped. The room included a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron with ironing board, full-length mirror, and an in-room safe. The 50" TV offered a wide selection of channels, and the two bedside tables came with both lamp lighting and convenient power outlets. The room temperature was pleasantly cool upon arrival, which was a relief given the high heat index that day. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of fresh towels, the shower presser was amazing and my 4th-floor room offered a great view. As someone who works out early in the morning, I was especially impressed with the hotel gym. It was one of the best I've seen in a hotel of this category--modern, clean, and fully equipped with new machines and free weights. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary disposable plug-in headphones for guests. While I don't usually eat breakfast, I visited the breakfast area to take a look, and it featured a generous selection of hot foods and continental options. The dining and lounge areas were clean, inviting, and nicely designed. You can tell this is a newer property that is well-maintained and managed with care. There was a wedding celebration the first day we checked in so that should also tell you how well kept this place is. Overall, I had a fantastic stay. The service, cleanliness, and amenities exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be booking here again for future work trips to Allentown.

This was my first time staying at the Allentown Hyatt, and I must say--I'm truly impressed. Just pulling up to the hotel felt like stepping into the holiday season. The way the building is lit up is so inviting and festive. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the lovely receptionist, which made the experience even more special. The decor, the room--everything exceeded my expectations. The hotel was peaceful, and I felt completely safe throughout my stay. And can I just say--what a joy it is to walk into a hotel room without that typical yucky carpet! Such a small detail, but it made a big difference for me. I'll definitely be staying here again. Not to mention, the hotel's close proximity to Dorney Park is a huge plus. Hyatt, job well done!

The Glassburn Inn, located in Fogelsville, Pennsylvania, is a beautiful historic hotel, and you can truly feel its charm and character the moment you arrive. When we first pulled in, there was no snow, and the entrance looked absolutely picturesque and welcoming. From the start, the staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The next morning was pure magic -- we woke up to freshly fallen snow and the most gorgeous winter view from our room. It honestly felt like something out of a postcard. The combination of the historic charm and the snowy landscape made it even more special. Our stay included a continental breakfast, but don't let that description fool you -- this was anything but ordinary. They offered made-to-order omelettes, eggs cooked any style you like, crispy bacon, home fries... it was a full, hot, delicious breakfast and such a treat! The birthday party was held in another building on the property called The Dairy, and it is absolutely beautiful. The Dairy can accommodate up to six guest rooms and features a large living area, a spacious dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen, along with an outdoor deck. It's perfect for gatherings and special celebrations -- private, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. With all the snow, my car just wasn't cooperating. Although the grounds were well plowed, I couldn't make it up the hill. Once again, the staff went above and beyond -- they graciously drove us up to The Dairy so we wouldn't miss a thing. That level of service really stood out. If you're in the area and looking for a relaxing getaway at a beautiful historic inn with outstanding staff, the Glassburn Inn in Fogelsville, Pennsylvania is absolutely the place to stay. The pictures truly don't do it justice

Unfortunately, for a special anniversary stay separate from any party, it was not the relaxing getaway we had hoped to have. The property is indeed beautiful. We walked around a bit hoping to enjoy the "trails" on their property map, but they weren't well marked. When we thought we were on a trail, it would abruptly end in lawn. The staff is friendly, but seemed a little disorganized. We called to confirm our reservation earlier that day and they couldn't find it, so we made another one for a more expensive room since our original choice wasn't available. But when we checked in they gave us our original, smaller room under a reservation that was still there. To their credit, they did fix it so we were not charged for two reservations, and we chose the larger room after all. Our room was in the Pack House. It was airy with a high ceiling and comfortable bed, a mini fridge, and a balcony shared with the room next door. The DirectTV and A/C wall unit were a little clunky to operate, but workable. The main issue for us was the noise because there was a party room downstairs. There are quiet hours posted from 11 pm to 7 am - and not long after 7 am (on a Saturday morning!) there was loud music that ruined our morning. My guess is it was early morning wedding prep, and it was technically not breaking quiet hours, but unwelcome for us "outsiders" nonetheless. On the brighter side, breakfast was included in our rate and was very good. In addition to light fare of pastries, fruit, and yogurt in a small buffet, we got to pick an entree from a large menu of options. Our entrees were simple, but good. Check out was easy and I was asked if I wanted a printout or email. I requested email, and over 24 hours later I still haven't received it. This is a pretty good reflection of our experience: promises that were not quite delivered, leaving us mostly disappointed, especially for the cost. If you are not part of a wedding or event, I would not stay here unless you are okay with disruptions.

We just recently had our Fall wedding (early October) at Monterre, and the scenery was breathtaking. The entire day, our guests were complimenting the fall foliage in the vineyard. We're so excited to get back our professional wedding pictures, many of which were taken directly in the middle of the vineyard. The large low-hanging branch tree is an amazing location on the property for your ceremony! In terms of the food, almost all our guests said the entire day (cocktail-hour hors d'oeuvres, entrees and wedding cake) provided some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Personal recommendations would be the braised beef, lump crab cake and vegetarian-option gnocchi. All delicious! Finally, know that when you choose to have your special day at Monterre Vineyards, you're in the hands of true professionals in Matt, Amy, Kevin and the entire staff of cooks, bartenders and servers. From the day we met them until our final correspondence the day after our wedding, the staff gave us their full attention and ensured that our wedding was an unforgettable, beautiful event. We would rate Monterre Vineyards an A+/5 Stars, and would strongly recommend them to any prospective clients!!
