I have stayed here many times while visiting Minot and I keep coming back. This place really is great. We always get a suite, which gives us a large living room with combined kitchen in the middle and two large bedrooms and bathrooms. The staff really does their best to make your stay pleasant. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking and eating. Bathrooms have quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and many more niceties. The beds are SO comfortable! Great support, but still enough give to be comfy and the nice cozy blankets. There is also a pool (haven't had a chance to check it out yet) and great little restaurant/bar on the first floor - great for breakfast and/or cocktails and snacks. The only two mminor inconveniences are 1. It's a large hotel, but only one small set of elevators in the center so if your rooms are on the end of the wings you've got a lot of walking. 2. The water pressure isn't very solid. It's closer to drip than drench. Obviously, neither of these are big enough issues to make me stay elsewhere. read more

I reserved a large room, as I needed a desk area to teach my class online. I was traveling for pleasure, yet in this era of COVID - needed a spacious room and WiFi - and be able to not have my neighbors hear me. Well... I got it. A divided room with a bed on one site, and a sitting area with couch, chair, and desk on the other - complete with microwave and refrigerator. I taught my class; couldn't hear anyone - and I assume no one could hear me. Went to the bar for a drink or two; waitress was friendly and sociable. She "physical" distanced; but made sure to be "sociable" to all the patrons. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfasts were just the right size and portable to take back to the room. Location is quiet as it is about 2 miles west of downtown Minot. Highly recommend. read more

Only one elevator working all weekend. So you have to use the stairs because the elevator was full and slow. You can only enter the large building through one door so you have to walk in by the desk and walk all the way with your suitcase to the end of the halls, with your suitcases, etc use the stairs to get to your floor and then back down the hall to your rooms. Hidden fees of $30 to just check and see if your credit card works, stating the fee will come off 3 -5 buisness days later. What??? It was added to my room stay but not on the bill, make no sense. read more

The best of the best. I work on the road ten months out of the year on short and long term projects. It's a rare opportunity that I find a hotel that is not only fairly inexpensive but has the quality, comfortability, customer service, amenities, all rolled out. I'm picky and challenging because these places I stay, they are home, ever changing, always challenging, but apparently NOT at this point. For the first time in 13 years of travel, hotel after hotel in 46 states in this country, I have found one I will sadly have to depart from only when my contract is over. If your looking for an amazing hotel with about the best staff, management, all of it, and conscious of your wallet, or not, either way. Gem of a hotel in an unexpected location! I actually rented a king suite at the last minute because we wanted to go to the powwow in Mandaree. The booking was seamless and the hotel called me to confirm. We checked in quite late due to airport delays. The lovely ladies at the desk saw that we were exhausted, not to mention had our grand baby with us unexpectedly, and brought the crib to our room for us. They even helped my kids carry their bags. The room was wonderful! New mattress and linens, very clean and smelled fresh. The room had a small divider with a mini fridge and counter, and a large sofa/pull out bed. Each room had its own tv which was great! The breakfast-fantastic!! Omelet station, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals, and a variety of hot foods plus juices, milks and coffee. Huge Plus-they have almond milk! Indoor pool was beautiful and sparkling clean. Every employee we encountered was friendly and actually seemed to enjoy being there. If you find yourself in Minot, skip the other hotels and just relax here! read more

This is below the standard of all The Hyatt's I've enjoyed staying at. The king size bed only had one nightstand leaving me to leave my glasses, phone, ipad etc on the floor next to the bed. The "complimentary" laundry was a disaster. Filthy dirt-strewn table tops, dirty washers, and dirty floors. When I told the front desk, the reply was that construction workers stay there. I was planning on swimming while using the laundry facilities but found the pool 10 feet long, cold and not possible to actually swim in. This hotel looks quite new but the materials are inferior with shoddy workmanship. The back splash on the bathroom sink was miscut and has an extra 1/2 piece to fill it in. Shame on Hyatt. read more

This is my first time at a Hyatt (I normally stay at Marriott's and Hilton's) and while I find this hotel very beautiful and clean, the staff is not as friendly as a typical Marriott or Hilton. For example, I got back to hotel very early morning, and said hello to front desk receptionist and she just gave a light grunt and walked away. I've travel extensively for the past 22 years and never had that happen before. I still like this hotel a lot, but the staff should be more friendly to their guests. read more

In a small town in northern, North Dakota, I was pleasantly surprised to find what seems to be a brand new Hyatt House. It was just 3 miles or so from the airport, so very convenient to locate. The lobby was large with very appealing decor and fireplace, which I imagine comes in handy about 6 months out of the year! The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful upon check in. And the room, suite style with a living space and sleeping space was nice. Brand new tvs, nice decor, it fit a more country style theme, which makes sense. It is so nice to travel to a smaller city and find a nice, reliable hotel to enjoy! read more

They wanted to charge a 75$ Pet Fee for one night for a 60$ room. When i asked the front desk attendant, she stated they lose money when they book pets. They also are in the middle of nowhere and not near any restaurants or bars and are quite far from the highway. Despicable response for a traveler and their pet. Pet fees are understandable but its utterly atrocious to charge more for a pet than the room itself and then state they lose money if they allow a pet to stay. Minot has plenty other hotels to stay at. read more

From the outside, this hotel looks fantastic, and it had great reviews on tripadvisor. Four girlfriends and I thought it would be the perfect place to stay for a bridal shower weekend, especially with the two-bedroom/two bathroom option! Booking was easy, as was check-in. However, when we went up to the room, things were not so great. Upon walking into one of the bedrooms, I noticed something sticking up in the bed that looked neatly made. I pulled back the sheets to find a yucky bottle of body oil, part of some sort of wrapper, long black hair, and a hairbrush. It was also clear that it had been slept in. I immediately called the front desk, and the man offered to put us in another room. We went down to the front desk, and instead of offering any sort of compensation or discount, he joked that a guest probably made the bed. Um...does this mean that the sheets don't get washed or changed? He also informed us that they have been having "problems" with the cleaning staff and were hoping things would change with the hiring of a new manager. Our new room was better, but it was hard to shake the knowledge that our room might not be clean. After some pestering, they did discount the room for us. Later on, we did find a used pillowcase between the sofa and the wall in the new "clean" room. Breakfast was ok...we were there about 9am, and they were running out of most things, including forks. We were rudely told they just didn't have anymore, so we ate our omelets with spoons. Overall, the rooms are nice, and very fitting for groups and/or families. However, the place needs help in the cleanliness department, which I would think would be the highest priority. **Also, the location is not on google maps, and there is no signage on the bypass to indicate when to turn, which is quite a ways away from the actual location.** read more

Not the Hyatt experience that one can expect. There is a lot of noise issue here and the house keeping is just terrible. There was always since issue with the work they did daily. The fridge was set at freezing and all my food was frozen solid which was annoying. I expected better. read more

My family and I each made our own reservations when coming out to visit our son/brother who is stationed in Minot. When we checked in, we asked if connecting rooms were possible or at least rooms close to each other. I don't know if the desk person didn't understand us or what, because we weren't connecting nor near each other. We were given rooms with consecutive numbers, but clearly the desk clerk didn't know how the hotel was actually laid out, because the rooms were on opposite ends of the hall. The biggest issue had to do with the way the staff handled, or should I say didn't handle, a huge issue. I came back to my room at 5:15p, after being gone since 8am and found the room not done. When I called down to the desk, the same check in man never once attempted to rectify the situation. In fact, at times he went completely silent and I thought he had hung up on me. His explanation was "they had a very large group check out," those rooms are always taken care of first to make room for incoming guests, and rooms such as mine are done between 3p and 5p. It was after 5p by the way. I guess if you're actually still spending money at the hotel you don't matter. The way he stated "we had a very large group check out" was as if that made it alright! He also never once apologized - never said "I'm so sorry, let me make this right." Not once attempted to get housekeeping up to my room ASAP. I hung up in disappointment and frustration. I began straightening up, when there was a knock at the door. Yes, it was housekeeping, but when I asked the man if the front desk sent him, he said no! What?!? He said he was making his way through rooms and was here to do mine. Wrong answer. I told him don't bother; I've already straightened up. He then began to defend the hotel's policy for housekeeping and said they were very busy. He, too, never once apologized. I told him I didn't want him cleaning, that I was tired and wanted to rest, but did need towels. He came in, counted the towels and gave me whatever additional amount he was allowed to give me. When I mentioned speaking to management, he told me he would "tell her the next time he saw her." First, that's not what I meant and second, did that mean the manager wasn't on site? Clearly the hotel needs a refresher course in customer service and service in general. This incident was avoidable and correctable. Please know the breakfast is awesome, though as other reviewers have said if they are out of something, like butter when I was there, they will tell you they don't have any/there is none. The omelet guy was super kind and sweet, and the food choices are plentiful. I won't ever stay here again and will never recommend this hotel. The lack of caring to make a situation right has left a terrible taste in my mouth. read more

We got in late and the hotel was overbooked and we were upgraded from a 1 bedroom suite to a two bedroom for free. Umm... I thought that only happened in movies. We were thrilled, it made traveling with our kids just that much easier and more enjoyable. The room is amazingly clean. Every single staff member we have run into has been incredible polite and kind. They push elevator buttons for you when they see you coming to the elevator, ask if they can help you when they are in the elevator and ask about your stay, call you ma'am and sir, and I mean, we aren't ma'am and sir aged (I hope anyway, ha). Continental breakfast is good, one of the better for hotels I've been to, and a pretty good selection for us. French toast, grits, scrambled eggs, omelet bar, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, cereal, bagels, bread, etc... Very nice spread, easy to take food up to the room, and dishes back down later if you want. if not there is a very nice dining area to eat in. We used the pool with the kids, and it was warm, lots of clean towels, comfy chairs to sit on for gramma while she watched the kids play. Coffee and lots of nice selection of tea downstairs at all hours. You can buy snacks around the clock at the front desk. wifi is simple to hook up to, which was important for us as full time students. cable tv in each room in our suite. Full sized kitchen, dining table in the room. Bathrooms are pretty spacious. Control heat in the bedroom, windows crack for fresh air. Decent location, nice new grocery store very short drive away. This was a no brainer. So we came to Minot to see our son get married, obviously needed a place to stay so how could we go wrong with the Hyatt right? Trip advisor gives it 5 stars. Check in and go to our room as soon as we get off the elevator our room is right in front of us. Wife did not like that, I did because I wouldn't have yo walk to it. So we are sitting in our room and I thought we were next to a kennel. The hotel accepts dogs, okay, but really ones that a yapping all day long our as long as the owners aren't there. Bring this to the attention of front desk and they ask if we want to move. My comment was why should I have to be inconvenienced I'm already unpacked and settled in. We'll we stayed and apparently the dogs did to because at 6:30am they were at it again. My wife also commented about the noise level outside the windows. Again I didn't think it was so bad with the occasional vehicle going by on the highway. Okay I was wrong again. At 5:30am you can hear the conversations going on at the elevator as they wait for it, you can hear the morning commute on the highway that was never ending. Then to top it we had no hot water in the morning. You see their water pump went out yesterday and we're overnightin another one. Management knew this yesterday and decided to let it be a surprise to their guests in the morning that there is no hot water. So this is too much and we decided to move. Management offered to move us to the other end of the hall on the same floor the yapping dogs are, no good. She then moves us to the next floor nice big room, credits our account $100. There is not enough I can say about my stay at The Hyatt House in Minot. I have stayed at many hotel's with my husband in the past and this hotels hospitality and convenience has won us over for good. I have even stayed at other Hyatt's and none of them compare to this one. The people were so amazingly helpful and patient, they would go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. The room was extremely nice and clean, and offered everything we needed for our 5 day stay. Corina at the front desk was amazing in helping us feel more comfortable leaving our dog while we left. Steven the chef was so nice and patient even though there was an extremely chaotic morning during breakfast and to top it off my dog had an accident from getting excited and Tyrel at the front desk insisted on cleaning it up for me. I have never interacted with a more curtious and amazing staff. The staff were attentive and sweet even as you passed them in the hallway or lobby. My dog was also a guest and so the hotel gave him a brown baggy which contained a toy, doggy bags, and a treat which made me feel incredible since my dog is extremely important to me, I love that the hotel makes it appoint to show me they care as well and realize how much he means to me. My husband loves staying at hotels and therefore that is why we have stayed at multiple while visiting Chicago in Illinois, San Jose in California as well as North Carolina and Florida, and as I said none of them compare. I needed to put this review because it seems hotels need to still learn a lot in how to treat their customers, this hotel just won my loyalty. read more

No no no, this place may look like a decent place on the outside but once you walk inside you can tell something is wrong. The staff tried to be helpful but when we asked them about why our room was dirty their response was "we didn't have time", they told me they didn't have time due to some event in town. Who says this? What hotel doesn't have time to clean their rooms? So disgusting. For starters you really don't want to use the rolling carts as they have some type of stains that you really hope are just water stains. As you round the corner to get to the elevators you are greeted with the smallest hallway ever, hope you don't run into someone else as you get to play the stranger dance, wondering if you are going right and the other person is going left. Getting in and out of the elevator makes you a little claustrophobic as well. Our room was unfortunately right off the elevator so we were greeted with random noises all night long as people moved around the hotel in and out of the elevators. Walking into the room we found so many things wrong we didn't even set our bags down, just turned right around and left. There was hair around the tub floor, the toilet had stains, the floor was dirty, the beds smelled funny, the couch seemed to have the same stains as the rolling cart, guess they got both from some street corner, the corner that they call a kitchen had dust and dirt...I'm actually tired of typing out all the things wrong with this place so I'm going to stop and hopefully this is enough to make you think twice about this location. read more
