Coming from a very Swedish background I had a such a wonderful time here. We arrived early in the morning and had the place to ourselves to take wacky photos with the Dala horse and enjoy the quaint little buildings. The woman working in the church was wonderful to chat with and told us everything we could possibly want to know about the architectural history of each structure. The gift shop had some really unique gifts and was moderately priced. I stocked up on postcards and Leif Erikson magnets. If you are in Minot it would be a shame to pass this place up.

Comprised of three hangars, one large artifact room, and a lawn full of statically displayed aircraft, this museum has more than what meets the eye. Positioned a little off the main road rest this local wonder in humble silence. An inconspicuous red sign that subtly screams "Air Museum" is the only thing in the entire town that alerts individuals that such an adventure awaits them. Our adventure begin when my family stayed for a long weekend. We had always seen the sign from the road but never made time; however, with family in town, how else is one going to fill up a four-day weekend in Minot, ND. Therefore, we decided that a few hours at this local attraction could help accomplish that goal. I was both right and wrong about my assumption. I was right in the fact that our time here definitely helped pass the time, but wrong in the arrogant thought that this was a fly-by-night establishment hanging on to life by one financial thread. This place is amazing! Filled with artifacts and aircraft that detail epochs of American history from Kitty Hawk to Operation Iraqi Freedom, this place literally has it all...once again this place is amazing. Honestly, I could spin threads upon threads about how great this place is, and the sheer tonnage of artifacts that comprise this museum is incredible. If you're a local and have never been, go now! If you're passing through and need to fill your time with enriching substance, this is your place. However, get ready because your mind will be blown. The staff have fashioned the interior in a way that transports each patrons to a past cinematic epoch. The theater has one show room, however, it is very spacious with rows of reclining seats that have the most leg room I've ever experienced in a theater. The sound and picture quality rivals any other state-of-the-art theater. The affordability of this establishment is unreal. My daughter and I saw a movie, enjoyed a large drink, candy, and popcorn for $19. Tickets are $4 no matter the age, all candy are $3, and popcorn and drinks range from $3-$5. The checkin was easy, the room was clean and had nice new towels. The pool and hot tub were great! The hot water in the morning shower was the best! The Revel did not have hot water in the morning... Thank you Motel 6 for a great stay!
