This hotel was average overall. The lobby is under renovation as of Dec 2025, and that renovation is right next to the breakfast area. The breakfast was standard free food at a hotel of this level, but at least it was free. The room was comfortable and clean, so no complaints there. Visiting FGCU and this was the most reasonably priced hotel in the area, and it was amazing! The location felt like the center of everything. Shopping galore all around and super close to FGCU. We stayed over one night here -- just a quick stop-- and it worked out great. The hotel is cheerful and comfortable. The reception desk staff was very personable and even wrote his name --Ryan! -- on the keycard envelope for us; I haven't seen this done before. We wanted to stay in for the evening & watch the Golden Globes & this could not have been any better! First of all, our guest room was extremely nice--very large and attractive. I thought it was super for the cost: $165 with all taxes. There was a big sofa and a table and refrigerator. Next door is a big shopping center so it was easy just to walk over & pick up soup & salad & bring back. It was cool that evening so we were cozy & comfy in our very nice hotel room! We are staying at the Hyatt Place for 6 nights, a long ways away from home as Hubby has a conference at the Hyatt Resort all this week. Alas, they were sold out of rooms at the resort as we tried to get in there - it is about a mile down the road, not too far but it seems that if you want to go and use their pool, they will charge you a pretty penny to buy a day pass, esp. if they are at full capacity. Then you may even get turned way from the resort. This Hyatt we are staying in has its advantages. You are literally in the parking lot of some major FLA shopping and wonderful restaurants. The multi-lane roadways are amazing around here and make getting from here to there so easy. No congestion. No one's rushing (OK some are). LOVE the location. Staff here upon check in were great, helpful and knowledgeable. They did honor my request for a room with a tub (although it is tiny and super shallow) as I really needed one for a bad back and that was much appreciated. I will be honest. This is a no frills hotel where a business man would come here, get some sleep for a night, shower, eat his nice, hot, free, included breakfast off the lobby while he works on his free wifi serviced computer and that is all. This is not a romantic place but I guess you could make it into one.. just do not think luxury or any extras including bottled water in your room.(Why not?) And not much in the way of bath product. A simple shampoo, conditioner and soap. No bathcap, sewing kit, no body lotion. I was hoping for a comfy bed at least but it is the kind with springs and I am not sure when the last time I had to sleep on a spring coiled mattress (not very comfy at all). Oh, the room does have a little fridge. If you are lucky enough to get a tub, this means the sink is strangely on the outside of the bathroom, in front of the bed. Weird right? You would have to see it to believe it but it is going too be hard for hubby to not wake me up in the AM as he has to brush his teeth and run water 5 feet from me in an open area! At least thus far the hotel has been very quiet on our floor. And we love that our room has a sleeping area and a couch area for TV watching. The A/C unit is old school and is worth all the complaints from other reviewers that it creaks,moans and is loud but I am glad we at least have a somewhat working unit as it is humid here! We have completely unpacked and made it our little home away from home for now but it is what it is. I would not stay another full week here again with other beautiful options in the area. I read one reviewer say that you can get room service here 24-7. Not entirely true. You call and order food, I am not sure WHO makes it, but you go down to the lobby and pick it up yourself, I guess in your PJs or whatever. I have not seen any indication of a kitchen here for that. I do know that when you walk into the hotel, it had a boutiquey-type-cutsey-modern feel which by the way does not match the rooms. The people checking you into your rooms are also the bartenders at the same counter. Odd! You can also buy toiletry items or pop from them at the front desk as this hotel does not have vending machines. And not all the ice machines work but there is at least one working one at the time of this writing (on a different floor than ours). I think the worst thing about the room is lack of storage space for clothing and especially for toiletries. We will check out the pool tomorrow. It closes at 10pm nightly. The work out room is open 24/7. Handy, not too large and way more updated than I was expecting it to be. If you get in at a late hour and you have a car, (free parking, being outside a large populated city has its perks) there is a Wendy's, McDonalds and a 24 hour Super Walmart down the main drag a few miles away. There are also said to be some super beaches within driving distance for day time. UPDATE - Day 2 of our stay. NO HOUSECLEANING came by!??????? Even after we left the room at a decent time and took our sign from the door, inviting you to come in. Guess you did not want your tip? So we are left with an unmade bed, full garbage cans, towels all over the bathroom floor, NO fresh towels nor face cloths, no kleenex and no coffee for the morning. Sigh.... And we just noticed your ironing board that we needed to use tonight is broken. We hope things improve as the days go on! **NOV 2018** I am so glad I wrote this review for memory refreshment as we are headed back here! Another conference. I would stay at this Hyatt Place again for sure! The lobby area is super nice and updated. Plenty of tables to get some word done or to grab a coffee at their drink bar and sit for a few. I like that the have the coffee/alcohol bar right in the lobby and that it is run by the front desk staff so it is open late, until midnight I believe. They carry Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea. They have a few snack items and sandwiches as well. That is a plus if your flight comes in late and you don't feel like heading out. They also have a little infused water station out that you can grab water at anytime. As well as a printer station, perfect for printing those flight tickets out before you head to the airport. The front desk staff was very friendly. The rooms are in a bit of rough shape. You can tell the walls are on their like fifth coat of paint. The room and bathroom was quite clean, you can tell they do work hard at trying to keep the place up. Location wise this hotel is on a strip with a lot of great restaurants to check out within a few minutes drive which is convenient. It is a quick trip to the airport and Fort Myers. We stayed for over a week! We loved this location but the staff is lacking! I asked about laundry and was told they don't have a laundry facility and that's fine but when I looked in the closet I found a bag and laundry slip to send out so I did that! When I took it down to Send out I asked if I should keep the copy of the laundry list! The employee said I guess so I've never done this! When we arrived at the hotel to check in we were told they had no reservation for us, even after showing them the email with our reservation(this could have been hotels.com issue). Their answer was basically, you're out of luck because we are sold out. Finally someone came in and had booked two rooms and needed to cancel one, so we did get a room. Then as we are getting ready to pay we were told we had to pay a higher rate than we originally paid. The manager came back and gave us the lower rate. Pros- Location. There are tons of places to eat that are within walking distance. Shower. Large walk in shower Pool and hot tub. Con- Bed. Very uncomfortable for a nice hotel. Carpet. Floor was very dirty around the edge of the room. Toilet and shower area. In our bathroom we couldn't shut the door unless you stood on the side of the toilet or stepped into the shower and closed the door. Conclusion- We would not stay at this hotel again. read more

THIS HOTEL IS FILTHY. I had a horrible experience here, we had to change rooms 2 times, the first room smelled musty and had stains everywhere on the sheets, the ceiling also looked like it was about to collapse with a huge crack. The second room was even more disgusting, there were hairs all over the sheets and the comforter was covered in what looked like mold. There was also what looked like bodily fluids all over the bed skirts. The rooms are so dated and have a motel vibe. Please see attached pictures. read more

This hotel is at a mall. It's nice. Free wi fi,free breakfast and free parking. The hotel was clean. I was supposed to stay at Hyatt in Ft meyers they couldn't accommodate me. So I'm 20 minuets from where I want to be. I booked the other hotel because I had an event 2 miles away. This hotel is very nice. My only complaint is I turned the thermostat up and it won't stay at what I set it at the room was freezing despite me turning off the air conditioning. read more

We are from Miami and decided to get away memorial weekend so I booked a last minute weekend getaway for Naples choosing this hotel. For a holiday weekend the weekend rate was amazing! Def not overpriced. Once arriving you notice that parking is plentiful, greeting when you enter the lobby is welcoming and the hotel is very up to date and clean. Check in process was very easy and they inform you breakfast times. Nice perk that i didn't know when booking through Expedia is that breakfast is complimentary. Once checking into the room I was excited about how big the room is. There were 2 queen beds, a huge sectional that part turns into a sofa bed and we still had a large space to set up my infant sons play yard. The toilet and shower is separated from the sink and countertop which I valued for timeliness reasons. The room was extremely clean, housekeeping was excellent. The pool was heated, breakfast had a ton to offer and even though the mall next to the hotel is within walking distance they offer a complimentary shuttle. Barefoot beach is 2 miles away. Looking forward to my next stay at this same hotel for next time :) read more

This is by far the best hotel you can get in the area for $99 per night!!! I just came from NY, where I had a true nightmare with Hyatt Place New York/Midtown South. I was bitten by bedbugs, placed in a tiny room and disrespected by their employees when we complained about it. As you might expect, I was a little concerned to go to another Hyatt Place, but good reviews from fellow "Yelpers" made me think otherwise. To say that this hotel it's clean it would be an understatement. It's spotless!!! Smells great from lobby to rooms. Our room was a king size with a sofa, divided by a small wall. Everything was new and impecable! Free breakfast included eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, bagels, juices, fruits and more. All the employees were kind and ready to serve. Shower with amazing water pressure, located next to shopping plaza and restaurants. Everything made it a perfect stay for jus $99! If I get too picky I could say that the sound of the TV was bad and the mattress it was new, but a little too firm for my taste. Frankly, surprised that there are Hyatts this low-scale. First off, they charged me an extra fee for "high floor", though it turns out that the building is only 5 floors anyway -- not like there's a spectacular tower view. No restaurant, bar, or coffee shop, though they say there is: it's just cafeteria-style food and drinks served by the front desk at the side of the lobby. No guest laundry machines, or even laundry service! Wireless capped at 360 KB/s downloads 24/7. But worst, I asked for only one special thing my entire two-week stay: I left my room at 11:00, asking that it be serviced by 12:00 when co-workers were coming over, and they didn't do it. read more

Had a great 3 day stay. Friendly courteous help, efficient service, clean spacious room, everything in working order. Pool was heated well. Great plentiful breakfast, 7 to 9. Convenient location IN the Coconut Mall plaza, near plenty of shops & restaurants. I cannot think of a place I've stayed with better service. If I had one complaint-- the food on the breakfast bar was not HOT at 9 a.m. They use heat lamps but it really was cold scrambled eggs and cold French toast. Therefore minus one star. I was busy, so I wasn't able to check out the pool or the workout room, but for a brief, busy work trip this place did just the trick. We chose to spend our first anniversary at Hyatt Place in Estero, Florida. We made the perfect choice! We were greeted by the friendliest staff. Both hotel employees we met on the first night congratulated us and made a big deal of our special occasion. The room was super affordable and beautiful. We got a King size bed and a view of the pool. The room was modern, clean, and classy. The bathroom was very clean. The bath products were so-so. We loved the huge flat screen that was mounted on a swivel and the free wi-fi. We also enjoyed shopping at the adjacent Coconut Point shopping center. Every shop and restaurant you can think of, and a pretty decent Regal movie theater. We also enjoyed a drink and a cookie at the bar. The free breakfast was great. We will always cherish the memories of our first anniversary, and will always be thankful that we chose the Hyatt. read more

Service was absent at lunch - yes, it was buffet style but it would have been nice if someone was still around to get a question answered about the food. Its the same as any other Hyatt Place. Clean, modern, trendy, comfy. You have to place your room key in the key holder by the door for the lights to work. Took some time for me to figure this out but thankfully I did before applying make up. There is a breakfast that's included, however I'm not sure what it incorporates. Apparently there is another Hyatt place not far from here, in addition to a Hyatt Regency close by, so make sure you have the address correct when you go to check in. I really like Hyatt place because of all the comfy space to spread out. I also appreciate the quick self serve check out in the lobby. Swipe your key, insert it in key return, and print your receipt. I really enjoy staying at Hyatt Place hotels. They are all very modern, clean and roomy. This was no exception. The hotel is located right next to Coconut Point Shopping center, which is a high-end shopping area, with plenty of restaurants. Good restaurants. The rooms are all spacious, which explains the shower/toilet area. It is a closet. If you are a biggie, ask for a handicap accessible room. I'm not a big fan of the cafe/restaurant area they have in the hotel. It can get crowded quick and its silly i have to go all the way to the lobby to by a water or coke. The breakfast is nice, but way too many items are obviously microwaved in the back. plenty of other options, i just wish for a waffle machine. All in all, a great place to stay, especially if you can get it at a good deal. read more

We stayed for 3 nights in mid September. It is located in the Coconut Mall and has great access to all the stores and restaurants. The hotel room was spacious, clean, quiet and very clean. We managed some free time and enjoyed the pool at the hotel. They supplied extra towels poolside. The lobby had several tables and chairs and we took advantage having a couple of business meetings there. The breakfast that is included was one of the best I have seen offered. I can not say enough about the front desk staff as they assisted us with many items and helped us navigate around the area. read more

My first time staying at a Hyatt Place and for sure wont be my last. Check in process was seamless. We had an overall good experience during our stay. The room was very spacious. It had 2 queen comfortable beds and a small living room space that had a pull out sofa. What was also nice is that they offered complimentary breakfast from 7am-10am. I decided to go with this hotel rather than the Marriott Townhome Suites that is located close by for that reason. Nope. Not good. I stay at Hilton hotels usually 1-2 times per week (I'm a Diamond VIP since I'm a frequent traveler for work), and I was happy to try something new since this hotel falls under our corporate policy. Well, it was not good. Not good at ALL, which is really a shame, since it's a new hotel in a nice part of town. So first, the lobby is overwhelmingly perfumey. It was as though they were trying to cover some sort of odor-- the smell was so strong that it was almost offensive. The decor was nice, though, so I was hoping this was just an oversight. Well, no. The room was dirty. There was dried urine on the toilet seat, and hair on the floor of the shower. Gross. I was already unpacked and in my gym clothes by this point, so I just chalked it up to being an inexpensive hotel and moved on. So, I go to the gym. Well, the treadmills and other cardio equipment all have TV screens. Nice! Except the screens are DIRTY. Dried drips of sweat and fingerprints covered the screen. Ew. Even worse, mid run I went to wipe my face with the provided towels, and it REEKED of sweat. It was like someone from housekeeping had just refolded the used towels. Absolutely disgusting. Now, back to the room. The wireless internet didn't work, so they had to give me an ethernet cable so I could get online. Inconvenient. The bed was comfortable enough, but this morning when I got up, I threw the covers back, and there was a stain on the other side of the bed. It was not a stain left over from a wash. It was a fresh stain. YUCK. EW. This hotel doesn't have to be a complete loss, though. The decor is nice and the rooms are very spacious. The service was also fine. If they can improve upon their quality control in the rooms and exercise area, this place could be a really great value. As-is, though, there's LOTS of room for improvement, and I just can't overlook the complete lack of housekeeping. I'll be sticking with Hiltons for now! Not a good experience at ALL. read more
