Fantastic hotel in the perfect location in Nice. Walking distance to everything Nice has to offer and easy access to train station for exploring other parts of the French Riveria. Breakfast overlooking the sea is a highlight. Be sure to spend some time on one of the many private beach clubs along the promenade. Would definitely stay here again.

Trip for the Grand Prix de Monaco We choose The Hyatt Regency Nice Hotel, cozy and clean. Breakfast is great Pool is amazing Service is great, first night while posting so far so good Recommend

This hotel is pretty amazing. The location is very convenient-walking distance to great restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. It has several great beach clubs across the street. The lobby and the rest of the property is modernly decorated with art, statues and fresh flowers. The room was spacious, clean and had all necessary amenities. I didn't like the fact that the see view was obstructed because of the shape of the building, but the rooftop restaurant provided the most amazing view. We spent four nights here and the staff made our stay really special. We liked the fact that they offered both self and valet parking. The buffet breakfast was pretty amazing, too.

I'm actually writing this review on my way to St. Tropez, I figured long ride so write a review. The hotel is in a great location with the beach across the street and various restaurants within walking distance. We didn't do breakfast at the hotel but why would I pay €28 per person when two people can eat for €10 total at any short walk cafe. The lobby is well designed and clean and there's a great heated pool on the 3rd floor. The rooms are spacious especially for European standards with nice balconies but they can use a makeover. Beds aren't super comfortable, stained carpet and slightly overused furniture. The room was overall comfortable and stay able but definitely not 5 stars. Staff not rude but definitely not the friendliest but that doesn't bother me as a traveler. If I was in the area again I wouldn't not stay but I probably would see what else is around prior to committing.

One of the best locations to stay in Nice on the promenade! The staff here always greet you with smiles and making sure your stay is good here. We booked for a city view but we got upgraded to ocean view without asking. The breakfast buffet ($20 pre paid during check in, or $28 at the door) is worth every penny. The view of the restaurant is gorgeous and the food has a lot of variety to choose from, such as omelette station. We also made reservation for the steam and sauna room since they only limit one family at a time due to COVID. I love it since we had this all for ourselves. Everything I expect for a nice hotel is here.

Staffs here are really nice! Very kind and helpful. The hotel is nice, we got our room upgraded to a suite for being a member. Rooms are really nice and spacious. It was a raining week here so it was nice having a big nice room. This place is next to s casino as well for those who like that. Beach access right across from us, as well as shopping and food near by as well! This place can be spendy, of course if depends on the time of year and day. Parking is literally on the side of the hotel it's s garage, BUT you have to pay every time you come in and out. If you plan to do that it's cheaper to just do valet. Breakfast buffet is great, there's an omelette area where you could customize what you want, either fried eggs or just an omelette, there's fresh waffles, pancakes and French toast, and of course bread, cheese and ham and many more other things.

A great choice while in Nice. The Hyatt is located conveniently on the Promenade des Anglais, the main beachside strip that runs several miles from the port to the airport. As a result, you can walk out your door and literally trip over countless cafes, the gorgeous Mediterranean and a wonderful assortment of people strolling, sitting, bicycling and jogging along the coast. There's nothing better than a hotel that provides a quiet respite while still providing all the action at your doorstep. The lobby has a wonderful floral fragrance that is prominent even from outside around the block! Not overpowering, just comforting in a subtle and pleasant manner. The hotel itself isn't anything particularly special or breathtaking. A clean, nicely-presented Hyatt with friendly staff, lovely rooms and a nice bar/patio/pool area from which you can take in the breadth of the Mediterranean. We opted for a superior partial ocean view room. I know others have said that they wouldn't splurge on this, but I say: DO IT! I thought it was totally amazing to wake up in the morning and sit on our large balcony, being lulled into contentment by the sound of the ocean and the city coming to life. Another plus of these rooms is that the soaking tub in the bathroom also opens to the balcony and the sea (discreetly of course), so you can lie in the bathtub and gaze at the ocean, too. Wonderful! Walk around the block from the hotel to Rue Messena -- it will take you to Place Messena and bridge you into the Vieux Nice (old Nice) part of town. I loved how close the hotel was to Rue Messena...countless restaurants with al fresco seating, shops, hustle/bustle. It was wonderful. Another plus was being able to step outside and go running along the promenade very easily. The distance from the hotel to the tip of the port is around 1.5 miles, so if you do a round trip, it's a nice leisurely way to start the day while on holiday. Quite flat and very beautiful. The price for this place was not pretty -- it is one of the more expensive options in Nice for sure. But everything in the larger cities on the Côte D'Azur is pricey, similar to Paris. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stopped by the lounge on the Promenade des Anglais for some breakfast with relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Beyond our expectations! Our room had two large windows overlooking the azure blue water and was very large. The hotel is simply magnificent. One of the nicest we have stayed at. In the evening you can hear live music from your balcony. The location is absolute perfection. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, the beach, the promenade, and everything you could imagine. It's pure luxury in the heart of Nice. I would most certainly recommend it. read more
Great location, right across the street from the French Riviera, and within walking distance of lots of cafes and shops. The hotel is historic, but the rooms were updated several years ago, and offer both sea views and mountain views. Bathrooms have a half door, so there's water all over the floor when you get out. We booked the sea view, but got bumped to a mountain view room, for some reason, but the hotel compensated us with a bottle of champagne and a voucher for food or drinks. Breakfasts were abundant and outstanding. read more
Do not sat here! It's like a holiday inn, old, rundown and not luxury like they represent themselves. The rooms are dated, AC does not work, beds are terrible and breakfast is mediocre. I regret staying here for 3 night. The concierge is terrible. They booked us a private wine tour that we cut short. We could have done better on our own. This is the kind of experience that makes me rethink Hyatt. read more

The stay at the Hyatt was great. We had previously moved to the Hyatt solely because our previous hotel ac had turned off. Like most hyatt hotels are they were made up nice and very spacious. The buffet had plenty of good food. The location is also great, 2 minute walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend using the rentable scooters that the hotel offers because you can't otherwise rent any scooters in that area. read more

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago for 8 days and have nothing but good memories. We were upgraded to a beautiful ocean view room with a special little picture window that our daughters could climb inside and stare out at the ocean. The suite was perfect and huge! We had plenty of space for all and it was set back from the hallway so it was always quiet. Every little request was accommodated and each morning the staff greeted us warmly and at breakfast. The hotel was super quiet even though it was on a busy street and it was in a fantastic location. We were right on the promenade and there was plenty within walking distance. We checked out the pool and it had a great indoor and outdoor section. Overall we loved our stay and would love to return! read more

I'm quite surprised at all the rave reviews of this hotel. I stayed for almost a week and can say that most of my experiences with the staff were not what I would expect. They were largely unfriendly and marginally helpful, specifically at the front desk. By contrast, the room service people and a gentleman server at the pool (yes, just one), were wonderful. Is it possible I just had bad luck? I suppose so, but others in the group voiced the same complaints. So, maybe don't expect much more than you might get at a Howard Johnson and it'll all be good. The rooms: Worn. They look as though they have recently been refurbished, but my guess is that they either see a lot of use, or the sort of people who stay here are hard on things. It was the kind of spot where I did not walk on the carpet or tile without my slippers. The housekeeping did a good job of cleaning, but there's only so much one can do. The beds were fine, neither uncomfortable nor heavenly. The sheets did not exfoliate me while I slept, which I'll call a win. The food: Eh, it will do, but my guess is that better can be found within walking distance. Being in my 40's, I have a strong affinity for soup. Us old ladies love that shit. I tried their gazpacho, tomato soup, vegetable soup, and onion soup. I would eat all of them again. I also recommend the pizza, and the tomato and burrata salad. Breakfast was the most lackluster meal. The buffet left much to be desired, but they do make a good omelette. That's probably your best bet. Whatever you do DO NOT ORDER A BLOODY MARY. They will tell you they can make one. They cannot. Tomato juice and Gray Goose will not a Bloody Mary make. I will say that I think this may be one of the better options for hotels in Nice. It's not bad, it's just not as good as I expected after reading the reviews. I heard from the locals that the Negresco is worth checking out. I also stayed at Hotel Suisse and will write a review on that as well. Plusses and minuses with each hotel. read more

I mean, it's the French Riviera, so yeah, great atmosphere. Waiter was super friendly but a bit inattentive. Food was perfect (poke bowl, fries). Only bummer was when the evening DJ started setting up at about 430, doing awful soundcheck white-noise bs, seemingly calculated to drive us off...which worked. But it was otherwise a good spot, and a summer Friday in Nice comes with certain risks, I suppose. read more
Out of all the hotels we stayed at in France, this was by far my favorite. If you can, go balls out and get a superior room with a view of the Mediterranean. You won't regret it. The room was large, very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly, attentive and personable. The concierge was most helpful. The hotel's also in a great location- right by the sea, 10-15min walk to the old town. read more

This is the first Amex fine hotel property I booked. You get daily free breakfast and a $100 on-property credit with each stay. On top of that they let you check-in early, have guaranteed 4pm checkout, and possibly upgrade your room... So, I'm a little biased on this review because the experience was already going well... We found the hotel easily, left our car with the Valet and checked in quickly. REALLY a nice place. The pool was both indoor and outdoor and was fun. The drinks were NOT CHEAP.... but the service and experience was great. The breakfast buffet was GREAT with cheeses, made to order eggs/omlettes with eggs from cage-free chickens. The juices etc were all amazing.... ok, ok, ok,,, it's starting to sound like I work here so I'll stop. I usually stay at Marriott hotels so this was an interesting change. We paid top dollar and enjoyed every bit of it. read more

Hyatt Nice This is a very well located property on the famous Promanade des Anglais beachside street (that runs from the port to the airport) in Nice facing the Western Mediterranean Sea. The facade of the building is beautiful from the outside - been around since the 1920s - and looks like a place. I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars for the terrific service, location, beautiful seaside restaurant, and swimming pool, but the bland rooms and the interior of the hotel (with an offensively strong floral fragrance that is sprayed in the hotel lobby), coupled with poor housekeeping service, and the "nickel and dime-ing" I dealt with when I requested the front desk to clear out the mini bar (since my 2 year old kept wanting to go into it) force me to lower the rating to 4 stars. I stayed at the hotel with my family (wife and 2 year old daughter), while we were celebrating my birthday. The staff was very doting and gave us a bottle of wine and provencal box of treats (tepenade, sun dried tomato spread, and such) as a welcome gift (thank you very much for that Hyatt Nice management - that was truly appreciated). We are Hyatt platinum members, so got a room upgrade from a city view to ocean view, which was very welcome. They have nice sized balconies from which you overlook their beautiful indoor/outdoor pool and the sea (which you can see through the columns of the building's facade) and enjoy breakfast every morning. We did struggle with housekeeping, who did possibly the worst clean up job we have even seen in a hotel, let alone a flagship Hyatt 5 star in Nice. We had a bottle of wine on one of the evenings on the balcony, and brought in the glasses and placed them on the main desk in the room when we were done. The next afternoon, after the housekeeping was done, we found the same dirty glasses in the room, along with the entire contents of the table (tourist maps and other Nice literature) left disorganized. Even the glass stains from the wine were not wiped down on the balcony table or the desk inside. I think it's reasonable to ask that dirty glasses be removed from the room, stains we wiped down, and some papers be organized and stacked so you get a clean feeling upon re-entering the room in the evening. We got none of that. Overall, I think Hyatt needs to add a little more life into the look and feel of the rooms, and train their housekeeping staff to truly make this hotel feel like a 5 star. The service is terrific, but please stop being petty about things such as Mini Bar "clearing" charges - you don't make your money by making guests feel cheated (even though it may cost you a couple euros in labor, it helps make a 5 star hotel experience feel special). read more

While I understand that check-in is at 3:00 and they cannot guarantee any rooms for guests who arrive before then, this one star is for the poor attitude of the staff. We arrived around ten in the morning due to an early and unchangeable flight. They charged our credit cards and signed us in, but as the rooms were not yet available, we left our baggage at the desk and went out for breakfast and a stroll. We returned to the hotel at 11:30 and proceeded to wait in the lobby. I was with my 60-year-old parents, older brother, and 5 1/2 months pregnant sister-in-law and we just sat, virtually ignored by the hotel staff who neither inquired after us or paid us any attention. I approached the desk once around noon and was told that one of our rooms had been checked-out of by the previous guests and was already in the process of being cleaned. I went back again a full hour later, and I said, "I know that our rooms aren't ready yet, but I was hoping I could get an approximate time? My sister-in-law is pregnant and very uncomfortable on the lobby couches." The two women behind the counter proceeded to be exceedingly unhelpful, borderlining on rude. One even said rather curtly, "We see you sitting there. No, we haven't forgotten you." And "No, we can't give you an exact time." Which wasn't what I was even asking, as I just wanted an approximation. Given that this is a "5 star" hotel, I definitely expected better service, better attitudes, and a little more accommodation for pregnant and older guests. So, one star, for your lack of consideration. read more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights before we headed over to Corsica. I had the best nights sleep and the staff was also super helpful and out shined all of the other hotels we stayed at on this trip. We were upgraded to a suite and it had a living room, dining room, two bathrooms and a walk in closet! The sink was HUGE to even American standards. I was in heaven! Their breakfast buffet was also included and nice. The views are nice only on some floors but the location is awesome too. read more

Love! After a week in Paris, my husband and I decided to do a quick three days to Nice. After research and recommendations, we determined to stay at the Hyatt. my husband worked directly with Katia, who was a rock star, and helped finalize our stay. The hotel is a quick Uber ride away. The hotel is beautiful with amazing views. The rooms are gorgeous. We enjoy walking and walked everywhere. Highly recommend! Ps - definitely worth the upgrade to a sea room view. First of all, it's annoying that the two 1-star Yelp reviews on here are from people who don't understand how check-in times work. This is a very busy/booked hotel -- especially during the summer -- so don't expect to waltz in here at 11am and have your room ready for you: check-in time is 3pm! With that out of the way -- to sum it up -- this is a pretty good hotel with the only significant downside being that it's not cheap. That being said, there's a lot to like. I booked a partial sea view room and was slightly concerned that their definition of "sea view" meant that if I leaned over the balcony railing, I would barely be able to see the water. That isn't the case. Even with a "partial" view, it's still very nice, and having a patio on which to enjoy the scenery and your breakfast is a bonus. The hotel is generally well-designed with most of the rooms facing the ocean, overlooking a center courtyard where one of the restaurants (which was pretty good)/bars operate and where the indoor/outdoor pool is situated. I will say the pool is quite family-friendly, but that may be a downside for some. It was very convenient to be able to so easily lounge by the pool and get drinks, though. The housekeeping came twice a day and was detailed and efficient. Staff was pleasant, mostly spoke English... we didn't experience any major problems. The rooms are mostly updated and there are separate showers, which isn't always a guarantee in France. I will say the rooms are perhaps slightly bland, but they are clean and pleasant enough. Probably the best thing about the hotel is the location! You're right on the water, super close to the most interesting part of Nice, plenty of great nearby restaurants blocks away, 15 minute walk from the train station, etc. And getting a taxi is trivial too, if you're going to go that route. If you are planning on never leaving your room maybe this hotel isn't the best option for you, but we were looking to explore Nice and its surrounding areas (via Train), so it worked out well for us. One slight disappointment is that the hotel doesn't have any direct beach access, despite the beach being just across the street. If you want a chair/umbrella on the beach, there's a club nearby that you'll have access to, but it's around $27 Euro per day per person. The nearby beach, by the way, is quite rocky (as most beaches in the area are, to varying extents) and the waves can get quite aggressive... I actually wouldn't recommend it if you have small children, but you can take the train to calmer, less rocky places. I don't know if I'd categorize the Hyatt Regency Nice as a 5-star, super luxury resort or anything, but it's definitely above average in nearly every respect and we enjoyed our stay. I'd recommend staying here if you're looking for a nice place in Nice and the price fits your budget. read more

Room service and food are super important to me. This hotel gets a big F. A room service menu for late night for food that the hotel doesn't have; French onion soup that is NOT French onion soup - it's more like make it yourself soup - they provided hot liquid and onions - cold cheese and croutons - both on the side. I ordered a cheese omelette and received a very nice omelette with NO cheese. Pricey and not worth it unless you are willing to pay full service prices for less than full service. Also important is cleanliness - hallways smell and room carpet has disturbing stains. The building is beautiful but..... read more
It definitely doesn't get any better than this! I have stayed there on quite a few occasions and it is the best oasis retreat I have found in France. It's very new & modern on the outside and also in it's suite decor. The service is unsurpassed and you will never need for anything! The pool is a secluded haven to sunbathe or swim laps as it's on the 4th or 5th (can't remember exactly) floor. They also have an indoor pool/jacuzzi that somehow intertwines with the outdoor one. The only fault I found was that the exercise facility was a bit lacking; but then again, who goes to a place like this to exercise??? read more

The views are just as impressive (if not more) as the pictures that made us consider this Hyatt property. We spent every evening gazing at the Med over amazing wine and delicious tapas (my husband love the spring rolls). The pool design was very unique, half indoor half out door, great towels, attentive staff. Our room was beautiful with an ocean view, very comfortable bed, very quiet and relaxing. Great hotel right on the water in Nice. Our room was really wonderful and even without a water view it was great to have a balcony to sit outside and see the mountains and city in the background. The location is great, right on the Promenade and a quick walk to Old Town. We didn't get to check out the pool, but did have a drink at the bar, on the house since our room wasn't ready, and it was pretty lovely. I hesitated to book an american hotel during a european trip, but would highly recommend this to all (especially after our hotel before only having a bath and no shower!) read more

Great hotel and the hotel location is perfecto! It's best to make your reservation in advance and request a ocean view. The gym and spa are nice also and ask if they have specials in the spa; they cut prices so I could get my services there. I did compare other location prices and I explained that to them. If you have AMEX you can get a room upgrade plus other deals. read more

Beautiful hotel at the prime location. Walking distance to major attractions. It is right at the beach with access to beach. You will experience beautiful sunrises in the morning and exciting night life around the hotel. The casino is attached but it lacks energetic atmosphere. read more
