I still have the 2003 Chevrolet Blazer that I used as school transportation when I was a 16 year old kid a little over a decade ago. The truck had been sitting for a few years and needed a new engine, front clip, wiring harness, and pretty much everything else ahead of the front wheels. I had bought a nearly identical crash vehicle as a parts car with the intention of swapping everything over myself but had to relocate due to new employment before I could start work and no longer had access to a home with a garage. I sent over both vehicles to Hyatt's and Ron did an absolutely incredible job getting my Blazer working again at the most reasonable price possible. This was an absolutely gigantic amount of work and required an immense amount of specialized tools and knowledge. Many mechanic shops would've refused this job due to its complexity and abnormality. Almost all of the shops that would have agreed to take the cars would not have been as communicative or resilient. I am lucky to have found them. Negative 100 stars. Working with these people have been an absolute nightmare. They held my vehicle, plates and belongings hostage to force me to pay fees when I was in a no fault accident. They won't let my insurance rep see my car, they won't let an arbitrator see my car and they refuse to work within the confines of the law. They have held my plates and my car hostage for months. I am still in arbitration with my insurance because Hyatts refuses for us to see MY car. I am not the only person they do this to. Go check their reviews. This is theft of my property and theft of NYS plates. When speaking to police ( the ones who called the tow) they said it was not their problem. So call your own town, never let the police do it, they are more than likely in bed with the tow companies. read more

Took my car to them after brake problems while on my way back to the city. Supposedly needed to leave my car overnight to get the repairs completed. They couldn't complete the repair overnight, then "found" new problems that they couldn't complete on their own timeline. Finally when I got my car back they gave me unsafe brakes. Terrible crooks. Great shop and nice people. This is the only place I go for inspections and oil changes. Had an exterior molding issue with a BMW, took it in to them and they were very honest. The mechanic said, that he could fix it but, all it takes is to snap the plastic clips on molding back on the car and that I could do it myself which would save me a couple of hundred dollars. He was 100% correct, once I had the replacement part, it snapped back on in about two minutes. read more

I have taken a few of my cars there and have to say they are honest.. I had a engine light on which told me I need new sensors and other parts. I was ready to fork over 1000 dollars. They called me and said "you owe 102.00" to my surpize! They knew what the issue was and were honest. Since then I took two other cars there and they were so honest with both!. I told them I needed a fuel filter replacement on the phone and they kept me there for 45 minutes after my appointment time before telling me they couldn't replace the fuel filter. Then kept me there for another hour and a half only to give me the codes the check engine light was reading. Which is not a proper diagnosis and I never asked for it. I could've gotten for free at an autozone instead of paying these assholes over $100 for zero helpful information and a waste of two hours. read more

Not only did they replace my tire at a reasonable price, but they arranged a ride home for me back and forth on my schedule, so I could continue to work. They worked around my schedule with no expectations or questions asked. They were respectful, courteous, and thorough. They were concerned because my Civic was still alerting for tire pressure after the change. I had these guys replace my brakes and they failed to check the rear calipers. As a result after only 4 months the brakes were completely worn and the new rotors were damaged from the excessive heat. It is ridiculous that they could mess up a job as simple as brakes. They also misdiagnosed an issue with a hood latch which resulted in a $300 unnecessary repair before they fixed the actual issue for an absurd price. Prices in general are ridiculously overpriced, especially considering the low quality of work! I would avoid this mechanic at all costs! read more

Had an awesome experience here. Was at the mini mart next door and someone pointed out we had a flat tire. Coming from out of town, place was totally empty, cue Deliverance banjos in my head... Yesterday I got rear ended. I asked for Hyatt's Garage (no relation thank God) to tow my car. I did not know that the company had changed hands. The tow truck arrived, (driver was very nice), I asked to be towed to B&B Auto. I was told it would be cheaper and easier to tow to Hyatt's, and then bring to B&B, otherwise I would have to pay tow charges. So I agreed. (Stupid me, I'm so trusting). Later I realized I left my medicine in the car. I called to see if I could get it. The woman who answered the phone was very rude, would not let me talk, told me to give her my phone number and maybe the tow driver would call me back. Needless to say I got no phone call. Today, I go to Hyatt's to get stuff out of my car, no one knew who I was, and they are talking about my car. Not very nicely either. The owner was informed someone was coming to get my car, he replied it's not leaving without cash being paid to transfer my car, and laughed. Then, when I was talking to him, he tried to tell me he waited for me until 6:30 last night. I told him, that was not what I was told. I was told he would call me. He changed the subject The phone was ringing off the wall, and he kept yelling at the top of his lungs "Mom answer the phone". I will never do business with them again. I am truly ashamed that my name is used in such a bad company. Stay away. Do not do business with this company. They are scam artist. My truck needed a tow from I84 and it went to Hyatt's garage. The employees were amazingly kind. However, when I picked up my truck, I was told they had to replace the entire distributor because the truck wasn't getting spark. Fine, I paid almost $800 for their services, got in my truck, and drove off. Immediately I knew something was wrong because as I accelerated, the entire truck began shaking violently. It was backfiring and missing. I took it to the dealership who told me that the ignition wires were all screwed up and that caused it to misfire, backfire, and it also fouled the EGR valve. So, after I paid the dealer ship another $400, my truck is running fine - but I caution those of you who want Hyatt's to do any serious engine work to consider another, more competent garage. These guys are sweet, and try to be very helpful, but their mechanics don't know their arse from a hole in the ground. You'll pay double if you leave your vehicle here for service. Bad customer service i had a tractor trailer break down on 84 east had state police called for a tow because my truck was dead in granny lane not fun. State police was really nice but hyatts driver showed up and started yelling at me and smelled like pot. After a hour of him throwing stuff around in boxes he had to call for a second truck to bring tools and a simple air fitting wow some service. After getting of the highway i asked to have truck dropped off on next exit in pull off driver said its a mandatory things going back to shop. My service vehicle was only five minutes away from exit. At hyatts they locked my truck in their yard and refused my service guy entry to truck.. The next morning i called over to hyatts and told me the bill was five thousand dollars and i asked them why a normal heavy tow should have only been 500$ wat the fuck. They said that multiple guys two trucks yard and storage. Remember i asked to get dropped at next exit mile away. Good job state police got good thieves working for you. They don't even deserve 1 star. First, let me point out that when the Hyatt family owned the business it was an honest, reputable place. The new owners are ruining the business. I was in an accident and they towed my car 1.1 mile to their tow yard. They charged my insurance company $1010 for that tow, cleanup, storage (the car was there less than 72 hours), gate fee, and yard fee. I called for my missing front plate (come to find out they lose all the front plates from many of the vehicles they tow). The man on the phone told me that it's probably still on my the road. I said you charged a clean up fee, so I assumed you cleaned it up. He said well maybe it's in the weeds. I told him they should be ashamed of themselves for the amount of money they charged for the tow. So the man told me to never call them again and hung up on me! read more

The service shop at Hyatt's has changed hands - new owners. I didn't realize that when I brought my 2009 Honda Accord in for inspection. They charged me $60 for front wiper blades, and left the car for me to pick up with a dead battery. It obviously wasn't dead when I drove it there...wasn't going to buy a battery from them! read more

Not who you think they are! This business used to be fair and staffed by hardworking mechanics and I had my car repaired there for years. The prices were a little less than the dealer prices and they were faster and friendlier. However, THE BUSINESS WAS RECENTLY SOLD and there is no Mr. Hyatt there anymore. Completely different owners and staff. Went there once to have my car repaired (against a warning from an insider.) Was completely taken for a ride. I would never bad mouth a business without a good reason. I found them unprofessional, misdiagnosed the car and cost me almost 1k in repairs that were not needed. They also like to pass the buck around to each other and the person responsible is "not in at the moment." read more

Worst auto body repair experience. Had our car for two months. No communication, were paid for parts they did not relpace until we complained and challenged them. Billed our insurance company $450 for a tow that Was less than 2 miles. Unprofessional, dishonest and gave us the run-around. Finally got our car back and it was making a loud noise from the rear. Made it to Mavis in Rt. 9.......back tire was not put on currently. Fortunately, we stopped before we went too far. Please think twice before you allow them to repair your car. read more

Don't use them even if you are desperate!! Push your car or truck home if you have to. I have had two occasions both a year appart to use Hyatt's towing. First let me say they did provide prompt service both times and the tow drivers were professional and knowledgable. It both cases the problems came after. They would not tow my truck to my yard , they insisted that it go to theirs. This is because once they got it there they could pad the bill with storage charges and fees so that your insurance would over pay to get it returned to you. Both times they lied about saying that the raid was closed for hours and that they spent those hours cleaning up. It simply was not true as we were there too the entire time!!!! The bill was so over exaggerated that it was laughable, when asked why the answer the owner gave is why do you care the insurance is paying for it! Well I do care as these are things that raise our rates. In case you are wondering how bad it is my last experience was......we were charged $6200 to tow a box truck less than 200 feet from their garage. That's right 200 feet. I have photos and God tracking in the truck to prove it. It could have been pushed there . Road was never closed more than 5 mins and cleanup was done in 10 min. No special equipment was used just a normal wrecker for $6200 dollars and held my truck hostage for weeks. Just as a comparison , I had a truck towed from white plains for $6 a mile with another company total bill was under $500. Bad business , stay away at all costs! read more
