An employee in her practice had prescribed a medication for me and when it came time for it to be refilled, that employee had left the practice. Additionally, thanks to the new insurance laws, my plan had changed. In short, Ms. Griffith refused to refill the prescription, which carries the warning to gradually discontinue use because, "Abrupt withdrawal has been associated with seizures in individuals without a history of seizures or epilepsy." Well, I was out and they knew it, but seizures be damned, they didn't take my insurance and didn't want to see me. Not even an offer to see me as a cash-paying patient. We've been to the ENTs and ER multiple times, but no one has ever really found the cause. Ms. Yeates was very thorough--blood tests, chest x-rays, etc. All came by good, but then she took his blood pressure lying down, sitting up, and standing up. It dropped significantly at each change. No one else had ever done this. Now at least we have something specific to check out. In addition, they didn't take my husband's insurance so we had to pay out of pocket. Everything was just under $200. It would have cost us thousands at the ER. I've used this facility before, and I have always been pleased.
