Bayes Water Treatment - Our Team

    Bayes Water Treatment

I've used a number of water-treatment companies in my time. I did not experience good service or…read moreknowledgeable staff until I utilized Bayes. My wife and I have built two homes in the GR area over the last couple of decades and we used Bayes for both of those for a reason. Their staff are friendly, responsive and professional, providing excellent service. They also utilize certified specialists, which not all water treatment companies do. For our recently built home, we needed a system to deal with some not-very-pleasant well water. We opted for a reverse-osmosis system for the kitchen and it has been spectacular! Unfortunately, our builder did not provide the plumbing necessary to do RO for the lower level bar area, but the Bayes team was able to fit that sink with a very cost-effective charcoal filtration system. We also had the necessary water softener installed. (I should note that Bayes will come to your home and bring in the salt bags and fill the reservoir whenever needed.) Before hooking everything up, the Bayes specialist came out to our home and tested the water at each tap we were going to use filtration at. After the filters were installed, the water was tested again with perfect results. I was very pleased with not only the overall service and expertise of the team, but also the very reasonable pricing. I highly recommend Bayes if you need water treatment services.

The previous owners of our house used Bayes to install their reverse osmosis filtration system…read more While the hardware functions adequately, Bayes refused to tell us the manufacturer of the filters used in our system. They offered to come out to our house for a minimum charge of $50 to simply look at our system. They then said that they could sell us the pre- and post-filters for $31. When asked for the manufacturers and part numbers for the filters, they refused to give us a direct answer. Well, we bought the filters and saw that we could get the same products for $12 including shipping. I understand that local businesses need to make a profit, but the gentleman on the phone was manipulative when talking with my wife and she was frustrated with their unwillingness to give her answers to our questions. I hope they appreciate the 250% up charge on the product; because they are getting bad word of mouth from our household from now on.

TOP NOTCH! I HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone! We…read morebuilt our house in 2005, and used Culligan ( which is TERRIBLE - DO NOT use them) for our water problems. Our water has always been bad, even with our Culligan water softener, for 14 years. We decided to try a new softener, and new company. Terry from Clear Water Solutions, came out, gave us estimate and we had our new softener and RO system installed, (and he took the old system out) all in 3 days! AND THE WATER IS GREAT!!!! We can actually drink it! It is as good, if not better than bottled water, from the RO system and the water coming out of the regular faucets is fine too! Nice, soft water, no smell, rust... nothing! I have been buying bottled water for 14 years - but NO MORE! He also is VERY reasonable - cheaper than all the places I have checked. Cheaper than the Culligan system I had installed 14 years ago! I wish I would have used Clear Water Solutions to begin with. PS - I should also mention that I live in an area known for very bad water - between Standale and Allendale. Anyone in the area, if you are having the kinds of issues we were, call Terry at Clear Water Solutions! He can help.

He determined what my water issue was and told me what I needed to fix it without trying to sell me something I didn't need. He was also considerably more reasonable in price than the big name companies. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of residential water treatment.

Update: I did have someone reach out from the company named Andy to explain their pricing and…read moreoffered a solution to make things right in my eyes. The pricing isn't by hourly, but by a software they use to find the best rates for the job required. Ultimately, I've voiced my concerns of how that system works and what I think could change but they are sticking with the way the price structure works, as it works for them. I am happy with the solution that was offered to me, and would use this company again, but more so for serious issues that require an expert to come out. When booking the appointment, it was explained to me that it was $85 to have the team come out, and an additional $125 for diagnostic of the situation of my leaky pipe, which could be used towards the maintenance cost. The determination made by the technician is that the pack nuts needed to be screwed tighter, and it took the technician less than 2 minutes to do so. For this labor, I was charged $220, and the charge is not itemized, it is just marked as misc. - and I had no option to just tighten it myself, as it already cost me $125 for the technician to diagnose the issue. Since I was charged $220 for 2-3 minutes of labor, that's about $6600 per hour that they charge. If we did just the $95 on top of the diagnostic, that's $2,850 per hour for their labor. I understand they are a business and I am not saying I expected the work to be free, but for the fact it was an additional $95 for him to tighten the pack nuts in 2-3 minutes is crazy. I asked about why it costs so much / the charge couldn't be a flat $125 since it was a simple solution, the technician told me it was a liability if he didn't charge me for his work, and since he had to screw TWO pack nuts, that's where the extra charge came in. If you go through this company, just expect a labor cost of $47.50 per minute.
