As soon as I opened the door, I felt a calmness. The room was inviting, there was soft music playing and Miss Linda greeted me warmly and immediately with a big smile. Ms Barb welcomed me within two minutes and mentioned they would be doing some imaging and explained everything along the way. We decided on a root canal that day, my heart immediately started to beat fast and I told both Ms Barb and Dr Mickel of my past unpleasant experience, and my hesitation. They were both very affirming and encouraging. They allowed me time to center myself and gave me a squishy ball. They talked me thru it and explained every step. I made it and Dr Mickel whispered a quick blessing over me as the end. It was exactly what I needed on that day. The positive messages on the walls were great. I thanked Ms Barb in tears and she asked if she could give me a hug. I have never ever had genuine kindness shown to me at a dentist setting. I am forever a fan!

As I waited for approximately two minutes, I enjoyed the soothing melodies and refreshing scent that filled the office. Dr. Andre made sure I was relaxed before starting my root canal, so I dozed off three times during the procedure. It was the best experience, and I highly recommend seeing Dr. Andre and his staff. I'd like to thank my dentist, Dr. Lucia Johnson, for recommending Dr. Mickel Andre, who provided me with excellent care.

Dear Southwest,…read more Hello. I went for a consultation with Dr. Estemalik in July 2020. He examined my gums and stated that I have gum recession on 14 teeth, which would require gum grafting. I received the 1st gum graft for 4 teeth in Nov 2020. Dr. Estemalik and the office were calm, nice, and explained many things to me. I was treated well and was glad to be in the care of Southwest. I paid the co-pay. Insurance covered the rest. I asked the office about warranty; they stated that if the graft falls apart in under a year and if the patient properly follows post-op guidelines, then the office would provide a replacement graft at no charge. I felt confident and comfortable working with them. I don't know how, but part of the graft collapsed in less than 2 months. I followed the guidelines well - no hard foods, used the antibiotic, avoided sugary drinks, did not chew on the surgical site. I believe Dr. Estemalik and the office did their best to provide a good graft; they were professional, punctual, and understanding. In Jan 2021, Dr. Estemalik examined and stated that a replacement graft would be required; he diagnosed the 1st gum graft as "collapsing." I received a replacement (2nd) graft in March 2021. This graft integrated fully and I am pleased with that. Thank you. However, I was charged for it (over $2000) and paid out-of-pocket. I was confused. I thought they said that a replacement graft would be covered? I called them, explained the situation, and requested a refund; they refused. I still had more teeth that required gum grafting, but I felt distrustful about returning to the office. How can I continue working with them when they choose to not uphold their integrity? I called Southwest again and expressed my concern. I asked to speak directly to Dr. Estemalik; he chose not to. The front desk said "the office would never have covered a replacement graft at no cost" and "Dr. Estemalik does not remember agreeing to this." I asked for a copy of their 2020 warranty, but did not receive it. I asked for a written explanation of why the office refuses to provide a refund; never received it. Although I have called and emailed them multiple times over the course of 5 years, we regretfully cannot come to an understanding. They did treat me kindly, and helped greatly with my gum recession, to which I say thank you. I am disappointed that they refuse to fulfill their principle of integrity and provide a refund. Overall: 5/10. I do not recommend visiting this office. With Wellness, -Elizar Sandler

I'd recommend Dr. Myers to anyone in the Cleveland area that needs a root canal. I felt at ease as…read moresoon as I began my conversation with the friendly receptionist(s) and started filling out the paperwork, which had an entire section on anxiety levels. I checked "I'm a little anxious, but fine" which was the lowest, but there were options all the way up to "I'm so anxious, I feel like running out the door right now!" I'm sure that those options get checked all the time, and I know that just reading that they care put me at ease right away. Dr. Myers explained the procedure thoroughly, told me I was doing great the whole way through, and didn't get too frustrated when he realized that it was a harder root canal that he had originally expected. It just meant more focus on his end and more time in the chair for me, he explained. The follow-up discussion was comforting as well, and I left with his cell number just in case something goes wrong, not that I'm expecting that! Honestly, getting a root canal isn't bad, it's just like a regular filling intensified. The worst part, in my opinion, is getting numbed, but I even felt that the Novocain shots were easier than usual! So, five stars for Dr. Myers and his helpful staff. I'd rather not return, but I'd definitely recommend him for anyone in need of an endodontist.

I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office from start to finish…read more My biggest issue was the lack of transparency about the cost of my treatment. I believed my insurance would cover the procedure, but after everything was completed, I was left with a bill of over $300. I was later told they had already applied a discount of around $190, but that didn't address my main concern. If I had been told the full out-of-pocket cost before the procedure, I would have declined it altogether. A discount on a service I never would have agreed to doesn't change the fact that I wasn't given the information I needed to make an informed decision. The office also accused me of trying to leave without paying, which was completely untrue. I was trying to discuss payment options because I couldn't afford the unexpected balance. At the time, they were unwilling to work with me. Then, months later, I received calls offering a payment plan while also threatening to send the account to collections. That was frustrating because I had already tried to resolve the matter much earlier. I also attempted to negotiate a settlement by offering to pay a significant portion of the balance immediately. Instead of having a respectful conversation, I was told no. When I asked to speak directly with Dr. Greg Myers, the conversation became extremely unprofessional. In my experience, he spoke to me disrespectfully, used profanity, and ultimately hung up on me while I was trying to resolve the issue. I found that behavior unacceptable from a healthcare professional. My interactions with the front desk staff, including Kara, were also disappointing. I did not feel heard, respected, or treated like a valued patient. Overall, this experience left me feeling misled about costs and poorly treated when I tried to work out a reasonable solution. I would encourage anyone considering this office to ask for a detailed written estimate of all costs before agreeing to any treatment and to make sure they fully understand what their insurance will and will not cover.
