She didn't respond -- just continued staring at me with the same cold expression. As I walked away, I said, "Hope you have a good rest of your day," and again, nothing -- just more silent staring. What made the situation even more frustrating is that as I got to the door, I heard her greet the next customer warmly, smiling and asking how their day was going -- a stark contrast to how I had just been treated. I don't expect over-the-top friendliness, but basic courtesy and professionalism should apply to everyone -- including delivery drivers. This interaction left me feeling singled out and disrespected. 'm not someone who pulls the race card, even though I'm Hispanic. But maybe it was my tattoos, or the blue in my hair -- who knows? Whatever it was, I felt judged and dismissed.
