Great hotel and staff. Such a lovely area. Daily breakfast was great, as well as the gentleman running it. Plenty of things to do and wonderful dining options close by. I would definitely return to this hotel. read more

They went above and beyond what we could had expected and made our trip to Saint Malo that much better. The hotel is located right across the beach, with amazing sunset views. Fort National is right there, only accessible during low tide. The walled city is a five minute walk, and has so much to offer, especially food. The tourism office is right on the way towards the walled city. Our first day, or night I should say, was the worst possible start of a trip in the history of ever; but this hotel and it's wonderful, cheerful, helpful staff came right in and saved our trip. They made our first night super relaxed and enjoyable, though we'd been through hell. We can't recommend this hotel enough, it was really exactly what we needed to be able to reset ourselves and enjoy our trip after a terrible flight/car rental/arrival/stranded mishap (thanks for nothing Expedia -_-)

Very modern, nice, clean, and comfortable hotel…read more HOTEL: Spacious lobby and lounge area and a small bar and restaurant upstairs. When we arrived, the lobby was full with a group of people that were going out. We seamlessly checked into our rooms and got settled. ROOMS: The rooms were beautiful, clean, comfy, fully equipped and had a beautiful view of the beach. We have a baby with us and they had a crib, blanket, changing pad, and bottle warmer already set up in the room. There were bath robes, slippers, and a little piece of chocolate nicely laid out on the bed, and bathroom actually had plenty of towels, which was appreciated, as well as a toiletry pack, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, a makeup mirror (whoop whoop!), and water glasses. Coffee pods, a Nespresso machine, tea, a mini fridge and a safe were at our disposal. BAR: Not great. We had dinner reservations and wanted to have a drink before we left. We sat down and waited to be greeted. There were two other tables when we arrived so not very busy at all. After a good five minutes a girl greeted us and gave us menus. After another good five minutes a guy came over to take our order. Twenty minutes later (30 in total) still no drinks!!! We sadly had to leave or we would not make dinner. We told the bartender we couldn't wait any longer and he said only five more minutes but we could not wait and we left! All in all a very lovely hotel, and aside from the bar, we received excellent service and I would definitely recommend!

Felt very clean-- housekeeping did a wonderful job. The view of the ocean is one of the best features. The rooms have balconies with seating. Shower: truly one of the best shower experiences. Large, spacious shower with wonderful water pressure. Nice bath amenities including luxury soaps and a towel warmer Pool and Spa: We did not utilize the spa but thoroughly enjoyed the pool area. It was intimate, clean and relaxing. The water is more luke warm bathtub temperature vs. an American hot tub. Location: 10 minute walk to old town, 8 minutes to the conference center and 15 minute walk to the train station. Restaurant: The hotel restaurant has a breakfast for $20 euros. This is the best breakfast option we could find with the most options. We tried a breakfast at a restaurant in Old town and settled for a sub-par breakfast with toast and eggs for $42 euros. Just eat at the hotel. Also one of the few places that serves traditional American coffee. Staff: Helpful and friendly. All English speaking.

I suggest you park near Porte St Vincent and walk 5 minutes as there is absolutely no parking nor stopping by the hotel) the hotel made more than up for it when we got there. Just walking up the cobblestone street made you feel like you stepped back in time. The outside of the hotel is quaint and inviting with flower boxes and pretty signage. The hotel is situated close to everything but in a more quiet section of the street (with a fabulous vegetarian restaurant just a few doors up.) The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. You hear the cries of the seagulls all around which we found very maritime but closing the new windows will drown them out when you've had enough maritime feeling :) The owners were so nice and very helpful, and their little doggie is so cute. The breakfast buffet was delicious with homemade pastries and all local products. In summary, I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone, and I will certainly stay there again the next time I visit St. Malo.

I wanted a hotel in the old town, somewhere walking distance from the start of the Tour and reasonably priced. This hotel was one of the hotels suggested by an online hotel site and it fit my criteria so I booked it. It's located on a small square across from the fishmarket, in a large stone building. There is a bar area, breakfast room and a lift to the upper floors. My room was huge, with a large desk, wardrobe and king sized bed. The bathroom was small but fine as long as you only wanting a shower (I dislike baths so I was happy with it). The staff were friendly and helpful, though the maids don't speak English. I forgot my code to get in after hours, though the owner happily came by to let me in (doh!). Because the town doesn't get much traffic (they charge a fee to drive into the old town), I had a very quiet and restful sleep. The breakfast was great, with fresh pastries, hot options and tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The next time I visit St. Malo, I plan on booking my hotel with this one, since it lived up to my expectations and more!

A really excellent choice in that we were within short walking distance of all the action! We arrived by car, the sat nav taking us through the narrow streets of Saint-Malo and delivering us exactly outside the hotel. The reception at the hotel was very friendly and we were asked if we wanted to use the garage for our two day stay. We opted for this as we then knew the car would be safe and secure in the underground car park. There are only two spaces available for guests so it is wise to book in advance, otherwise one has to use the public parking outside of the walls, as it appeared that most people had to because we could hear the trundling of suitcases over the cobbles well into the evening! Our room was on the second floor and was reached by the compact lift which was not big enough for two people and a large suitcase. Our room was fairly dark in that the walls were decorated in purple and only a smallish window looking out onto the old fish market in the square below. The bed was large and with crisp white linen. With the curtains pulled and bedside lights on the room became very romantic!! The shower room was very small but adequate for our stay. Breakfast was served in a small breakfast room and consisted of the usual continental display of fruits, bread and croissants, jams and honeys and breakfast cereals, and a constant supply of coffee and tea if required. In summary then, an excellent two nights sleep right in the middle of the action. The hotel management were friendly and welcoming. Come again? Yes please!
