Sarah and Sally, both English and both very friendly, accommodating, and very good at what they do, each helped me in booking my trip from abroad, via Internet, email and phone ( a process which is not necessarily easy in the business), which entailed checking out for a week-long hike a day after I arrived and returning a week later. They arranged to let me store luggage while I was on the hike, which was a great help. This is a small hotel, so there is no concierge, and that is just fine, and part of the charm, as both Sally and Sarah provided all the information I needed for errands, dining, and transporation, and even arranged a booking on a shuttle back to Geneva for me while I was in the mountains. They held my reservation for me until two days before, with the option to cancel (I hadn't solidified my return travel plans when I checked out the first time). The rooms are comfortable and clean, as is the bath and shower. The breakfast is decent--full continental, plus fresh fruit, granola, and hard-boiled eggs. Coming off a 100km hike back into the hotel one afternoon, the offer of a cup of coffee by one of the girls was a welcome treat. They run a tight ship, and lend a cheerful ambience to the place. read more
