The clerk/cook was super nice and cooperative, but his equipment was out of order and couldn't fry anything (so burgers, but no "burger meals", onion rings, etc.). However, the burgers were pretty massive, and topped with fresh garnishes. The fountain machines were totally or near totally out of order, but bottled drinks were available in the refrigerators. The ambience was, of course, a tiny table in a gas station convenience store, so kitchy but not date-night. I wouldn't be averse to doing it again, in the event we're on the road on a Sunday and the real eatery next door is closed.

There was nobody else in the store and the only worker (a male) was on their phone at the front register. As soon as she went into the women's restroom, he walked near the men's restroom and started to walk INSIDE the women's restroom. This is especially scary because my girlfriend said the front door to the women's restroom was propped open considering the men's restroom was shut, one of the stalls was missing a door and the only other stall had a broken/missing lock where you could see inside the stall. He only left the restroom when he turned and noticed me watching him. He proceeded to "check" their freezer, returned to the register and we quickly left.

Even before entering the building, you could already tell something was wrong because both trash cans were overflowing with trash. As soon as I stepped into the women's bathroom you could tell that place hadn't been cleaned for some time. The floor inside both stalls was wet with what I hope it was water. Anyhow, the only reason why I am not giving them one star was because the store itself had a nice selection of items, and was able to buy some medicine and milk for my baby. The staff was also super nice and helpful at check out.

And wait we did. For 90 minutes! Ok, I drove to a quiet spot and took a nap until after the lunch hour. Surprisingly the lunch hour is generous out here in west Texas. It was an hour and a half later before someone unlocked the gas station and turned on the pumps. They were extremely friendly and personally knew everyone.
