Do not recommend those, however the restrooms are very clean & tidy. And we have stopped two weeks in a row & they have been very clean & tidy both times. The outside is a very large green space. A parklike area with some very pretty pavilions dotted with picnic areas. Pets are not allowed in the pavilion/eating areas. There are some designated areas for pets, but not at the pavilions. It's also very minimalistic outside as well. There are some shady pine trees but no flowering shrubs, flowerbeds etc., very minimal shrubbery, plain, very simple borderline boring scenery, but very well maintained. The next exit/stop is "Evergreen" only 4 miles up the highway with tons of Fast food chains, restaurants, shopping etc., There is even a very cool fenced in pet area to walk your pets at the local Conecuh sausage factory up at the Evergreen exit, just FYI. The park was very quiet and well maintained although you can hear some red noise from Hwy 231. We did not take advantage of the bathhouse so I cannot comment, but there is only one available. This is not an issue for us because of the full sewer hook up.

Sofas are comfy, but there is no restaurant or bar aside from a breakfast area. Rooms are OK. I chose a room with a king sized bed. The bed is comfortable, but the pillows are puny and there aren't enough of them. There is NO REFRIGERATOR or MICROWAVE. TV is decent. The desk is falling apart, as are the lamps. Curtains are halfway torn down. Several members from our conference are staying here - meaning - we're on the same schedule. That means, we're all taking showers at roughly the same times. The hot water cannot keep up. Half of the showers I've taken have been cold. Overall, this is an old hotel that is in need of renovation and refurbishment. I heard a lady complaining to the front desk and the attendant said they weren't fixing things due to a coming renovation. Parking is valet for $30/day or in a lot across the street for $10/day. If you can find street parking, it is free from 1700 to 0800. Food options are OK. Italian, Mexican, seafood, and pizza are within a block of the hotel. A bar near the hotel can be heard most nights (music). The staff are generally very nice. They are the reason this isn't one star. 2.5 stars
