The bathrooms were again very small for as much traffic that seems to pass through, but they were kept clean and stocked, at least while I was there. They offer a few vending machines to get snacks and drinks from and even a hot coffee/drink vending machine that offered a handful of drinks made to order. Overall it was a good spot to stop, stretch our legs and switch drivers, but beware of the tight parking lot, especially later in the day when the trucks call it a night.

Centrally located between the northbound and southbound roadways, Maryland House is easily accessed from the left lane. It is bright and airy with a variety of food options in addition to Phillip's. By the time I needed a rest stop I was near bursting. Pulled off of the highway and found myself a spot. There are separate areas for tractor tailers and regular vehicles. Trucks to the left, everything else to the right. The rest stop is about as plain as they come. Loads of space outside if you need to stretch your legs. Inside wasn't anything grand. I walked the length of the sidewalk and ventured over towards what looks like a maintenance shed for the areas water. While down there it appears there is a small monument to something. I'm not sure what it was for, but it is behind a fence, no way to get close enough to inspect it fully. Easy to get back onto the highway after the stop.

The center is spacious, and the building and facilities are kept in good condition. When it's a good day out, there's a beautiful view during the day. There's enough parking for the crowds that come in, and usually at least one staffer and one clean up person working here during the day. There is PA memorabilia hanging in one section of the building, and places to sit giving it a homey feel. This center is nice enough that it's even worth making the U-Turn if you're going Northbound on US-15 instead, although I think stopping at a fast food place or such will do for 99% of people just fine.

This "Welcome Center" is quite spacious, with quite a variety of vendors for all your needs. Some of my favorite? A Dunkins, a Panda Express, and even a Wendy's! The restrooms here are not "Bucees" clean (but c'mon who can compete??), but compared to other pit-stops, this place is second-tier. A great place to stretch, walk-around, and recharge for the remainder of your trip. This round --- I only stayed for about 15-20 minutes, and decided to try the new "Applegreen Tap&Go" Coffee Stations. One is located at the very entrance of the building, and one towards the back (near the food court). I ordered an "Iced White Mocha", and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It did what I want coffee to do, taste good and have caffeine! In any case, if you're in Delaware, make it a point to stop-by!
