Dr. Chhim is wonderful! Everyone is helpful and caring. I'm always able to get in and out very efficiently and have all my needs met.

I've had very positive experiences with I Care. The front desk staff are friendly, helpful, and polite. Dr. Chhim is very knowledgeable, patient, and explained her exam/answered my questions in a calm and clear manner. When I started using a new medication, she told me possible side effects to watch out for related to vision, which I appreciated (the doctor who prescribed the medication did not). Just not good. Started going to this place because it was local, it's close to impossible to get someone on the phone. I've left work early to pick up a prescription and they were closed well before their listed time. And for a topper, I recently went to another optometrist and found out a mistake was made in my last contact prescription. There are much better options out there. read more

I was very pleased with my COVID shopping experience here. You do have to have an appointment and knock on the door for entry during COVID. It's a nice, clean, elegant little shop with great staff and a decent selection. With my insurance (vsp choice), the neat frames I got here were significantly less expensive than anything I looked at at other shops. They are very hands-off (not pushy), while also being very patient and helpful if you want help figuring out pricing, insurance coverage, other colors not in stock, etc. There was a period of a few days I was having trouble getting through on the phone to finalize an order I had started, but I tried a few more times and eventually got through. My frames usually need lots of adjustments upon receiving them, but they had them mostly spot-on when I arrived, just a little tweak behind the ears to tighten them a touch. Dr. Chhim and her exam staff were very thorough. I feel like I got a solid visual health screening and updated glasses prescription--which was important to me since I was overdue to see an optometrist. I have called for the past few weeks to make an eye exam appointment. Today, i have called every 3-5 hours to schedule an appointment because i broke my glasses and i did not have any backups. They kept declining my calls. I left them voice-mails and they never called me back. I tried to be patient as possible but I can't continue to walk around not being able to see. read more

Two eye exams in 1.5 years and neither one seemed like a good experience. I thought I expressed my needs well and both times I walked out thinking how do they stay in business? I thought it was pandemic related in my 12/2020 visit but here again in July of 2022 I don't feel heard. I said I was in an accident an my glasses were bent. I'd like them to take a look ( they did not ). I said my my previous glasses were less stressful on my neck and these require me to tilt my head back and it's painful. Dr. Chhin explained how progressive lens work as though it was my 1st time. Again I explained my previous glasses and my experience. She just explained the way progressive lenses worked over again. I also told them on both visits I was considering contacts and both times they said I would need a separate appointment for that. Really? Could you explain this please? Tell me if my insurance only covers one. I'll figure it out. They weren't busy. In both cases there were more employees than patients yet, I felt rushed, unheard, unimportant. I started going here because it is local woman business. I will stop going though because they are rude and don't care about accountability. I had an appt that I waited for 25 minutes for. After 15 minutes I asked the receptionists how much longer and they said they don't know. After asking them about this instead of apologizing they gave excuses and were rude to me. I am sure they will say I was rude, but I wasn't rude until they were rude. I am a strong believer in treating others the way they treat you and I have never dealt with a more unprofessional staff or Doctor. Their response was if I didn't want to wait that I could just leave. Obviously they told the doctor when I finally saw her that I was upset and probably made me out to be some horrible person. I spoke to the Dr about the issue and her response was to say that I am no longer welcome as a client. No apology or accountability, just oh you don't like being made to wait for 25 minutes with no explanation or apology? You can F off. Also the entire 25 minutes I was waiting, they were not seeing any patients. The last patient was checking out while I was checking in, so I waited for 25 minutes just because they don't respect other peoples time. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional doctor or front office staff. Don't waste your time, because all they will do is waste yours and act like making someone wait for 30 minutes is acceptable. I told them they could have called me, if they were running late they could have called me and told me that. Why is respecting patients time not important to medical offices at all? If someone is late, we get charged a late fee, when they are late they don't even have the decency to apologize. Its ironic since their name says they care. read more

I had been suffering from headaches due to eye pain for the past few months, so I figured it was time to get my eyes checked. This business was super close by, took my insurance, and was able to get me in the week after I called. I was hesitant to go to an optometrist I had never heard anything about, but the convenience sold me. Upon entering the vision center, I was surrounded by walls of glasses, and saw two friendly receptionists behind a desk. They had me fill out a quick medical history and sign a few forms, and then one of them took me back to a room where they did some brief preliminary testing. After that, I was off to an exam room waiting for the optometrist. She was very friendly, and after a 20 minute exam I got my eyes dilated and went to try on glasses. I must admit that it was challenging to see how glasses looked on me when I had my eyes dilated for the very first time. I found great frames that would be covered by my insurance, and had placed my glasses order before the optometrist was ready to check my retinas. One more trip to the exam room for the optometrist to look at my retinas and I was finished! Having since bought glasses online, I can affirm that nothing beats glasses from the optometrist. read more

I've been going to eye doctors most of my life. I recently moved closer to this particular office and made an appointment to have my eye glass prescription updated and get fitted for contacts. I had a fantastic experience! The facility was very clean and updated. The receptionist were friendly and seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. The technician who started off my exam was thorough about what she was doing. Their equipment seems very new and updated. Most of the machines I had never seen or used before. The Doctor came in and was just as friendly, extremely detailed oriented, and explained everything and then some. She made sure I completely understood the entirety of my eye exam and what the next steps were. I was more than satisfied with my visit here today! read more

I came here to have my first eye exam in 10 years. I've had glasses since I was 9, so I'm very familiar with all of the tests, poking and prodding that go along with eye appointments. I'm a pretty good patient because no matter what you stick in or near my eyes, nothing really makes me flinch. I found iCare on my insurance website and I also live in the neighborhood so I've driven by a few times. This office is small, but neat and clean. Dr. Chhim is awesome! She is really nice and puts you at ease immediately. I really appreciated how she described what she was looking for with each test. It was also easy to chat with her while I was waiting for my eyes to dilate. I can also picture her being good with kids since she has such a sweet personality. Even though it had been so long since my last exam, my eyes hadn't changed at all. I still wanted new glasses though, so I bought frames online before my appointment. They do have a selection of frames in the office, but they will also put lenses in frames you bring to them. I'm really happy with the service I received at iCare and will definitely keep going back for my annual exams. read more

Very disappointed with the service of this place through my awful experience with them: 1. very slow on returning phone calls when trying to reach them from 11 am to 2pm. You literally have to chase after them to get an answer other than them providing you with timely information and nice customer service. 2. broke their promise of fixing glasses lenses, basically being dishonest in their practice. 3. very rude and inconsiderate of customer's needs I will never go back again and I'm happy that I have a choice and no need to be stuck with them. The whole service I received made me feel that the place is poor quality and has no work ethics. I'd rather to pay more and find a decent place other than this one in White center! read more

YThe doctor was very good however, her secretaries made actually seeing her very difficult. Call there right now to make an appointment, did they answer?nope? Yeah that's because they literally never answer the phone. I should have taken that as a warning when making my appointment. Shouldn't go to a place where they call you when it is convenient to them Then when it had been a week longer than when I was supposed to hear back to get my glasses, I finally called them. Of course they didn't answer haha. Anyways they call me back and lied to me saying they tried to leave a message but couldn't because my mailbox was full. 1) no missed call from them and 2) I don't have nearly enough friends to have a full mailbox. I'm leaving a 5 star review because I appreciate that Dr. Chimm offers services at an affordable price within the White Center community. However, I wanted to share my experience which was less than positive. To summarize, for a routine eye exam I ended up visiting Dr. Chimm's office 6 times. The first time, the front desk staff had lost my appointment so I had to reschedule. The second time went as planned, ordered and paid contact lenses. The third time, picked up my lenses. Went home and the prescription was all wrong. Had to come back for a second exam (visit #4). Came back a 5th time to pick up my new lenses for the second time. When I got home, my left lens was missing. I had to go back for the 6th(!) time to get my other lens. Needless to say, with these incredible inconveniences, I will not be going back. read more

I've been wearing glasses for a very long time and my glasses recently broke. The only place that took my insurance was this place and of course I was a bit skeptical about the service. To my surprise the service was really good. I was also happy that they accepted my own frame and didn't give no sign of annoyance when I asked about the coverage for this process. This happened a year ago but I did not get a chance to write a review till now. The doctor is fine but the optometry service is shockingly poor. The girls at the front helped me picked out glasses for my two children. When the glasses were ready, we came in try it on. Both did not fit. They kept dropping down their noses. At the time, they did not have any selection with nose pads for kids. The girls in the front that ran the optometry department should have just suggested for me at the onset to go somewhere else to get the right glasses. Instead, they helped me picked them out and order them. Now they say it is not their fault, there's nothing they can do, and left me with 2 pairs of glasses that my kids can't use. No apology and frankly didn't seem to care one bit. What kind of business is this? I couldn't believe it. Eye exam is only half of the service. If the optometry department provides such poor service, it's not worth your time. Stay away. read more

While the doctor is great, good luck actually reaching a human being on the other end of the phone to make an appt. There is always a voice mail asking you to leave your info. Hopefully you'll get a phone call back in 24 hours and that you'll be able to answer it because if you don't get to the phone in time you'll need to keep leaving voicemails. I'm so tired of it I'm taking my business elsewhere. I wonder if the dr realizes how many patients she is potentially losing due to her horrible receptionist service. read more

In going here I find it fantastic I am disabled and have a service dog and I have never felt more comfortable than here with my eye exam
